trust me it feels like as soon as you understand something it's out of date most days Good luck btw

No worries, I admit I've read a little between the lines but the term "a 2tb spindle drive for data" suggested you were thinking of space as opposed to protection and that I would think would be at odds with the owner. The use of spindle suggests a single drive. Don't you just hate folks posting while you're replying?!

I've been thinking about my response while preparing dinner. I feel I may be coming across as harsh. I think it's important to remember that the "small dental practice" has an onligation to its patients, regulators and employees to ensure the platform is for for purpose. This will include Documentation: testing, design. Install and support. secure data Discoverable data Backed up data which can be recoverd from. Audit log Stable and robust. Those are just some of the reasons why "I'll cut cost and get my mate to do it" type installs bug me. It's not just a matter of throwing in a bit of tin and installing some bits on the tin. Hope I'm being informative rather than coming across as a rant Oh and kudos, i was self taught when I first started in this career

I must admit the title threw me too. I can't add much except endorse husky and redzed about RAID And a well planned backup/recovery strategy. It does however bug me that being able to fix a desktop doesn't make a good solutions designer. No offence OP but it sounds like you don't understand the requirements of the business owner apart from a file/print server and an individual client and if it all goes south (no offence southerners) the business owner is going to look to you to recoup any damage reputation all or financial. I'd have an agreed statement of work in place before I touched this with a barge pole of I was you...

And get bent over as soon as the highways/council find it. My first thought was move.... But if you can't get permission to modify the public side your solution looks like it will help. I can't advise on application though.

Ok will take a look tonight. Didn't realise you could choose spawn points and now you've mentioned it when I played BF1942 on the PC I do remember that feature. Last night I was getting so frustrated it was crazy but I think I was being put in games with folks who've been playing it none stop and as a newbie I just felt overwhelmed I like the mechanics of it though. I guess I was hoping to spend a little time getting to know the game in a more friendlier environment Thanks Suits!

So couple of things. I've still no idea what I'm doing in titanfall and the other Battlefield 4 is bug ridden. I'm continuously spawned in front of the enemy. Any friendlies happy to have a closed game and teach this old timer what the hell to do?

Really sorry to hear of your loss

I see what you're getting at aliveboy but doesn't the high sherif have the power to force entry regardless? Not sure they have the time to "stake out" the properties. I've taken this so off topic I will stop and go google instead just found it curious

So it's an official car so it's allowed anonymity?! Doesn't make sense as all official cars from police to military wouldn't have a registration mark as anyone in public would have access to that information.... Anyway I digress from the topic, sorry

Good spot but why have the producers decided the vans reg should be obscured but not the other vehicles on the road?

I wanted to get it but the reviews put me off... Sent from the golf club... To be fair there's many I game I've loved but the critics haven't and there's many a game I've bought because the critics loved but I've hated. We're a fickle breed.

I agree with SMD. the prices just aren't competitive. If they matched supermarket prices it would be no contest, in fact £1 or £2 extra would be fine but not when it's £10+ a pop.

decent trade in?

I looked in the past. There are several on the market from memory but they seemed to be quite bulky and battery life limited. They can also be removed which considering the price put me off. Glad your four legged friend made it home relatively safely home.

I see you've read the thread where you can safely make that promise It reminds me of the story about the rugby fan who said he'd castrate himself if his team won (Wales I think). They did indeed win and he kept his promise EDIT: hers the source http://www.shortnews.com/start.cfm?id=45964 Well at least that took potential idiots out of the gene pool wtf! -
Well my OH was working from home today and hid the parcel.... I had a feeling it had been delivered so checked the usual hiding places to no avail. I eventually asked if there had been a delivery which she then proceeded to grill me about what I'd bought etc. Anyway, installed now and had a quick campaign game. Enjoyed it but I spent 20 minutes or so going through the simulator which if already doe with the beta. That was annoying Anyway will hopefully get more time tomorrow

Push them, get similar examples and what price it would cost to buy a similar spec/year/mileage. They go off the book price but if you show that replacing isn't realistic then they will hopefully negotiate. -

Gutted for you but no surprise. Expect book price not replacement value. Build your case now -

I totally disagree. Why would you claim for an injury that you never had? It's fraud and it's that attitude which does push up priced. Btw my airbags didn't go off so I think you do need to prepare for the worst -
I disagree. It must be buggy as I'm rubbish I did say I wasn't going to get titanfall due to lack of single player but we will see how I get on as I'm not very good at multiplayers but I do like to have a few games to relax after a hard day in front of computer screens...

Well just had 20minutes or so on BF4 MP and although I have no idea on the maps and am tending to rush in I'm enjoying it and will invest more time. That said a colleague in the office bought titanfall today and before I knew it I was placing an order myself. Will give that a blast when it turns up.

I think they are a bit more savvy these days and price them at the value you have agreed minus the repair costs. Yes you can get it done cheaper however it's not going to make sense to do so when the value of the car on the market is now less than the cost to buy back and repair due to cat c or d status. The agreed value of mine was very close to 5 figures. I couldn't buy a replacement to my spec for that and I would've been out of pocket buying back and repairing so I let it go. As I said it has to be treated as a business transaction with a clear head not a heavy heart. -

Let them right it off tell them you want to keep it .... They offer car back to you for like 10% or somthing of what it's worth I think then use the difference in money to fix it as cat c/d ... Then keep the difference in money or use it for mods Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Not correct in my experience. They offered me to buy mine back at agreed price minus the cost of repairing which in my case worked out at about 60% of the book value. The only way to make a profit would have been to strip and sell over time. As I said it's also not your insurers decision on the write off it's down the other parties which can be a real pain as my insurers said they would have approved repair as it was mainly cosmetic (it would've needed putting on a jig to confirm though) I'd be amazed if they offer you to buy back for 10% of its original value.
