  1. As I said earlier and I think a few others also did this foes happen, your body is adjusting. I'd concentrate on your diet and the weight lose will sort itself out. Another words don't get too hung up about it, you may also notice your weight might not be going down but clothes are still getting baggy. Excellent effort so far chaps
  2. The salad sounds lovely and that's the marinade I used however I think next time I'll switch as I don't think it's the healthiest. I think if you can plan your meals ahead and prepare it really helps.
  3. You can remove the skin from the chicken...,. I know it's the tastiest bit though. You have both inspired me to look at my own eating habits, portion size and bread are my biggest issues. Did some lovely lemon marinated chicken with peppers, onion and mushroom kebabs on the BBQ the other night, yummy and so simple with some salad. Also started eating muesli for brekky again which is soooo filling but not as tasty as a sausage bap. Keep going gents!
  4. Would you be complaining if this was more common? I bet she doesn't run red lights but the drivers distracted do http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/blogs-news-from-elsewhere-28680944
  5. I've enjoyed forza but it's become a little stale to me and I've only just really got into MP on BF. The campaign on BF was enjoyable except the save game issue where it "forgot" where you had recently got to and rolled back to an old one, very frustrating but I'd hope it had been resolved now. That said the campaign was quite short. If it's single player game you want I'd for for forza as there's just so much more meat and the drivatar system is great. I think Will still plays this a lot too. Shame neither have a demo for you try before you buy
  6. Sorted the origin issue. Seems I had two accounts and all of my consoles were tied to the older one.... I didn't realise I'd created a new one when I changed my email provider, fortunately I guessed my password correctly and was able to update Trouble is I need to be level 10 to make use of the app... Ah well 7 more levels to go
  7. Oh and anyone else had any success with "battlefield commander" app on the iPad? It looks and sounds quite a good companion app but I spent about 30 minutes trying to link my origin and gamer tags. Finally after some googling I found you can only do it through the windows/mac app.... So you can't so it throughout their origin website where you can do pretty much everything to do with account management but no link accounts! Anyway looks a fun addition and will try and get it sorted today.
  8. I agree about BF4. The MP is so much deeper than you initially give it credit for, I've pushed through quite a bit of frustration and now starting to enjoy it. I'm rubbish at these games too but you get drawn in very well. Still haven't figured out how to mute idiot "team mates" in game though. You get some right tools who think they are the next "piddy snoop pac".
  9. Still not found how to mute the gits but starting to enjoy this. I had a go at "conquest" 32v32 last night and Wowsers, I felt so vulnerable on the ground with all the air support above. Fantastic! I think my money will be going on hardline in October
  10. Smoothies can be good. I posted earlier in the thread about planning ahead. I used to think what I would like and shop in advance, make it the night before or even a couple of days ahead if you make something like couscous and switch the meat you have with it -mmmmm couscous and salmon.
  11. Sainsburys sell everything you need to be healthy, chicken, fruit etc... Something I can pick up and just eat ready for lunch.. Probably none of their sandwich's/wraps as they all have mayo. Most supermarket pastas are no better either. If you have salad make sure you don't laden it with dressing. Maybe some skinless cooked chicken and a couple of pieces of fruit? Edit: oh and maybe walk there as opposed to driving.
  12. We didn't hear about this amazing gesture until the early evening news ran it. I think it was the most graceful thing the living can give to those who we can not thank. We turned all of our lights off last night save a single candle but not sure many others did here I'm not aware of any of my ancestors involvement in the "Great War" but you can't help but think about the horror those young men must have witnessed. The war poems make the hairs on my neck stand on end and they I think can only give a small insight into what it was like. I know both of my grandfathers were in the steel industry during WW2 so never went into battle as they were needed at home. Both passed away before I was born. As others have said though I don't think any of those generations wanted to talk about it at all, my grandmothers didn't. #lestweforget
  13. Go for a walk and take an apple with you. If you have a camera, take it with you. Some great flora around at this time of year. Careful some of that flora may be edible It'll be a damn sight healthier than subway Very true... Unless it's a fun guy who is deadly Edited due to me being a pleb

  15. Keeping busy stops you thinking about food that's why I mentioned a camera. I like to get out on my bike if I can but I know that's not for you which is fine, any other hobbies you're interested in that will keep the evenings full? The important thing is to get up and do something now, not tomorrow as you're too settled for the evening. Keep going, you're doing well despite what you may think

  17. There's an old saying.... "Eat like a king for breakfast Eat like a lord for lunch Eat like a pauper for dinner" You burn most of your energy in the "working" hours but I also saw a documentary a few years ago. They basically took two set of Californian firefighters who were fighting forest fires. The first group they fed them 3 large meals a day and the second group lots of small snacks throughout the day. They found the first group became very lethargic an hour or so after eating as the body transferred it's energy into breaking down the food but the second group kept going. Obviously the above was on already fit men but it does show what effect timing/size of meals can have on the body. I think I said I lost a load of weight a few years back and I ate muesli with red top milk in the morning, at lunch I had a stirfry with only a small amount of soy sauce or a salad (we have a cafe in work where they offer a wok bar) and for dinner I'd have another stirfry with a different protein from lunch or a jacket potato after the gym if I'd been I'd also take some fruit with me as snacks if I felt I needed it. No beer except for weekends then every couple of weeks I'd treat myself to a curry or similar takeaway. And no soft drinks of any kind. I know it's not the best for it worked for me. I'd load the stirfry with plenty of veg and only a little lean meat. Sooo filling. Main thing is plan the week ahead and schedule things. Again I was lucky as I have a gym at work sink could go straight there, no getting home and putting the telly on in between. Break your weight targets down into weekly targets, don't become disheartened if you feel you have worked really hard and not lost anything as it will happen a few weeks in. You will also have the off hiccup but keep at it. You will soon start feeling much better. Disclaimer: I let myself slip and put a lot of my weight back on after about 3 years. That's because my old lifestyle started creeping back in. It is a lifestyle change.
  18. I agree but it evens it up a little and it's an incentive for Steve. I don't want him using this as an excuse before he's started. I'm a fat b and I use excuses all the time. My downfall is big portions (not too bad a diet) and I like a beer.
  19. Here you go, both plug in your starting and finishing weights into here and see who wins - I do think both will be winners by the end http://www.fitwatch.com/qkcalc/calculate-weight-loss-percentage.html
  20. It's too early for me to do math but if you're 20% heavier at the start you need to lose 20% more than Grundy by the end. I think lol
  21. And the loser has to cycle to work wearing Lycra for a week Sorry couldn't resist. Please don't give up
  22. Sorry I meant percentage :headbang: So you work out what percentage of your starting weight you've lost. The winner is the one with the higher percentage
  23. Why don't you base it on ratio of weight lost to starting weight? It's worth doing!
  24. I've gotten access to this by being in the beta program. The vault contains the 4 games already mentioned and nothing else (at the minute) I do suspect that when a new game gets released it's predecessor gets dropped into the vault for a limited time to encourage people to buy the latest. I have given BF 4 another hour tonight and am sort of getting to grips with it. Only been playing TDM and the only annoying thing so far is some yank with his mic open telling his kids off and showing how badass he is at the game while they whine assuredly because they aren't getting the attention they need. So how do you mute the annoying gits?
  25. Cycling in Lycra is great for losing weight........ Good luck and good on you trying. I lost almost 7 stone a few years back by changing my diet (mainly stirfry's with no sauce) and cardio 3/4 times a week. Met my OH and piled it all on again
