Sounds like something in the tread of a tyre to me. You have had them off and checked no stones or foreign objects anywhere? I had it once and it was actually a 13mm bolt that had gone right through and embedded into one of the tread blocks, wasn't quite flush and made this type of noise and feel.

BTW Chop fist person was brilliant thanks for mentioning that earlier Ekona, you're supposed to swith to Franklin to call him back and if you hadn't mentionednt earlier I wouldn't have thought about it. The driving and shooting in FPS is very hard, I feel like I should have an extra thumb and index finger. Not sure I will get used to that to be honest. Motorbike riding is very good though, enjoying that

Right finally started playing GTA V on the one. FPS driving feels rather week chaotic but I think I had the same feeling playing it on the 360 at first. Starting to get used to the controls but it looks soooo much better than last time around.

I was in London for a meeting yesterday and decided to take the afternoon off as the OH was out shopping. I walked from Green Park station to Harrods where I'd arranged to meet her. It took me so much longer than it should as I had to stop at the various memorials along the way. So sobering, the bomber command and royal artillery ones really had the hairs on the back of my neck standing. I would've loved to have seen the tower but its mostly gone so didn't go that side of town. We may not do a lot of things right in this country but I do think we honour those who have fought for our way of life really well be it through memorials and charities such as H4H and the RBL. And I agree with others, wow gixxer, wow. #lestweforget

Had similar a couple of weeks back, ordered some items from debenhams (not cheap) and popped out one Saturday afternoon and left the dog have run of the hall and kitchen. We usually restrict to the kitchen as she sometimes shreds paper put through the door. Got home after being out 10 minutes and was met by a shredded "sorry we missed you" from Hermes. Started piecing it together and I could make out "front" so these clowns sometimes through it over the gate to the back garden I checked and nothing there, we've had this before with no card left so I assume it's these guys. Looked on the web for contact details and nothing. About an hour later was taking the dog out for a walk and noticed a suspicious item under the OH car on the drive. The clowns had left an expensive item which would've required a signature under the car. We've even had deliveries at 7pm on a Sunday that we had expected on the Friday. Good luck!

Is a degree essential in the UK today? Now with added photo
Fodder replied to twobears's topic in Off Topic Discussion
can you tell English wasn't one of my best subjects? The opportunity for others to do the same is less likely in this industry and I try to keep this in mind if ever I'm asked an opinion about any candidates. There's been multiple times when I've been asked to move into managing people and I just think it's not for me. One of my old managers spent a lot of time and energy trying to convince me I'd make a superb manager and all the answers I have him made him even more convinced I would be but convinced myself I wouldnt That conversation is looming again shortly with another set of leaders so I'm bracing myself Well done to Mr Twobears as its always great to hear hard graft works -

I think it also depends which industry. I work in the finance sector as an IT consultant. I wasn't very academic at all and left school as soon as I could. like others it was just classroom environments I found mundane even though I was in the top few in the upper band of classes for most subjects. I wanted to be a mechanic so I found a place willing to take me on and I thought that was going to be my life. Unfortunately I had a nasty injury which eventually meant I couldn't really cope with the physical work. I had to find another career so I enjoyed playing around with computers at home and I lucked out at an interview and got a job putting pc's on desks at a financial services company. I worked my way throught the various stages and now work designing and building systems to support applications with 300k+ users. I'm the exception to the rule in my place of work and if it wasn't for the fact various managers along the way hadn't noticed me and requested me to join their teams i wouldn't even stand a chance to get an interview due to lack of even A level education. The things is I'm a hard worker, I have a very good memory and I see things slightly different to most people making me a great troubleshooter. So in my case an initial bout of luck followed by hard graft worked for me but I know a degree is a requirement for most of the roles today. Oh and keep contact with folks who have moved on for whatever reason as you never know when they may be interviewing you or asked for their opinion of you. -
Those cats are great Pete and that boxer is going to be trouble.... You can see it in the twinkle in his eyes

I have a colleague who lives in queens and another who lives up in Boston. I dropped them both an email to see if they were ok even though I know they are quite a distance from th heaviest snowfalls. Thankfully both are and so far unaffected. I spoke to the Boston guy earlier and he said the scary thing is Buffalo is used to "proper" snow but this is just something well beyond. Mind you it has nothing on the couple of inches we may have that will put the country on hold

Well I've just got back from the vet after an annual checkup and kennel cough vaccination....... We mentioned some habits Hetti seems to have as we've been getting a little worried. She's overweight and quite lazy. We've reduced her food but she sometimes refuses walks, sits down on walks and does what we call commando crawls. The sitting down and crawling seem to coincide with meeting other dogs or humans. The vet said we've been observant and without prompting we've described a lot of the tell tale signs of hip displacia which is something we've been worried about for a while anyway. She's booked in for x-Rays and hopefully this will give us an idea if there is an issue. She's not two yet so he thinks we have some good options for treatment. I'm a little stressed not that I will let my OH know and felt just typing it in this thread would help. It has, thanks for reading.... Now let's see some up to date pictures of those amazing furry and sometimes not so furry friends of ours

I can't wait to "experience" Trevor in first person mode

Good to know except I'm not allowed it until Sunday (it's a present) and I'm travelling down to London for work Sunday morning. Hope Hyde park German beer place is open Sunday afternoon though

I liked as there are some great games out at the minute. Swap halo for far cry for me though

F-Type for me too. As far as your grand daughter she will be inundated with gifts I'm sure so how about a gift of grandparents time. Maybe a day out at the zoo? It's a completely different day out over winter and can be a great day out. That way you and her have a great gift and more importantly memories last a lot longer than toys Just an alternative suggestion

What have you have found in a used car???
Fodder replied to Darren-B's topic in Off Topic Discussion
Not me specifically but a guy I used to work with sold his daily shed to another guy we worked with. The buyer was made up as he got a free can of Stella and it was while we were discussing this fact that I remembered all the stories the seller had told us of the dirty girls hed got to know much better in the car..... I thought it my duty to bring it up -
Calling all photographers... advice needed please.
Fodder replied to The Bounty Bar Kid's topic in Off Topic Discussion
I'm no expert and Im not using my camera as much as I'd like due to the ball ache of carrying tripod around etc but I do have friends who do carry their kit with them. They will enjoy places like the natural history museum with the crowds just taking in the exhibits without getting distracted by taking a picture. They will then try and visit at a quiter time when they can set their tripod up and concentrate on the picture and not the exhibit. I know it's not ideal but that way the enjoy the museum for what it's meant without the fuss of all their kit. I also know places like that are never quiet but if you can work along those lines it may just help. Keep the pics coming -
That's what came across in your review. As long as a game is fun issues can soon be forgotten.

TBF burnout paradise was horrific for all the things ekona mention to It was an arcade open type game which was fun particularly the MP format. From what Ekona has said the last bit is somewhat lacking. Hopefully a demo of the full retail version will be available for me to try.

The grass is always greener.... I went Xbox one this time and am happy, I thought drive club maybe my excuse to get a ps4 as well but it hasn't turned out like that yet. If you can afford to why not pick up an Xbox to try before you get shut of your ps4 or even keep both? they both have their pros and cons but having both fills all the gaps
-
^^ as above, the other thing you may want to consider is which one your real life friends have as you may want social gaming nights. It's a great time for gaming whichever one you choose
-
Thanks Mr Ekona, as I said I was hoping this would be similar to burnout paradise (the only one of the series I enjoyed) but even as that had its faults it was still great fun to play especially with mates doing the stunts. Let's hope they do a new version of it or another great game we were talking about in work the other day and one I wouldn't mind seeing a new version of... Red dead redemption but without the stupid crafting bits. Anyway GTA V soon

That's a shame. So were you expecting a sim or an arcade type racer? I was hoping for sone thing along the lines of burnout paradise, I had so much fun in that game. Please tell me you hated burnout paradise and this is exactly like it and why you don't like
