There's only one place for building Lego and that's the floor..... I'm sure they will thank you for it when they go to make a cuppa and stand on a brick..... My parents always did

Unless of course you've invalidated any manufacturer guarantee by breaking the warranty seal to reseat ribbon cables etc etc.... Edit: sorry wasn't having a pop but all manufacturer obligations are out of the window now a third party repair company maybe able to help. I seem to remember member "toonchris" was in this area of expertise and maybe worth a pm.

That looks awesome. Spent this afternoon looking for my favourite set I had as a kid and failed. The main build was an articulated lorry which could also be built into an overhead crane. I don't think I ever built the crane as my self built a-team van was always on missions with the lorry

Arghhhh I'm now looking at Lego kits Kyle, if you don't mind me asking but where are you ordering from? Just wondered if there is a discounted place for this stuff
-
Loved Lego as a kid, think that's where my problem solving brain really developed. Unfortunately my mother also gave all mine away without my knowledge. There was a couple of large suitcases full of blocks. I only ever had a couple of the large kits as I just liked building my own stuff and bought the smaller kits evey couple of months with my pocket money. Loving the ghostbusters set you have there. I nearly bought a "death star" a few years back but couldn't justify it especially as my OH thinks this sort of stuff childish

No chance of getting an allocated space at work? To be fair wherever you park it and it is adjacent to other spaces you are always going to risk door dings etc but it's still better than on street where vandalism can take place. Have you looked up renting someone's driveway? I know there are websites for this and typically they are for during the daytime while the home owner is at work in their car but may be worth a shot.

What's wrong with leaving it at work all the time? If it's such a short walk I'd leave it there full time. Edit: bl00dy typos

I really did lol at that one

Getting bed bathed by the student nurse I mentioned in the other thread

Yeah that was the worst bit of the "accident" for me too. Did you have a strange feeling of wanting to see all the gory details and watch what they did? Edit: I can't watch anything like that on tv. I have to look away

Bytespc unfortunatly has us all trumped. Sending positive thoughts your way fella, keep fighting and those who have an attitude to people with disabilities aren't worth worrying about! there is a little more to my foot injury than I originally posted. Basically I had an open cast so they could clean the wounds and a couple of days after my injury a student nurse who was cleaning and dressing the wound suddenly stopped and went to get a senior nurse. She had spotted an infection which meant I was put into isolation (they didn't tell me why). It turns out if contracted pseudomonas (iirc) which is flesh eating and meant the theatre and recovery room they had used for me got shut down for a couple of days. They never dos tell me how I contracted it. On top of this I have a severe allergy to tetanus, it's on all my medical notes and I told the paramedics this and then the a&e staff. My parents also informed them. About a week into my stay a nurse came around with the medication trolley and gave me an injection, I asked what it was and was told it was a pain killer. About an hour later all my joints started swelling and these huge lumps appeared all over my body and boy did they itch. My mother visited me and immediately got them to check me over... Yep you got it they had given me a tetanus booster thinking my allergy would have gone away due to my age. 3 days it took for me to get movement back and the itching to subside. On a positive note that student nurse was absolutely gorgeous but being a 17 year old lad I went bright red and talked gibberish around her Oh and whoever it was with kidney stones that made me wince, I thought call stones were painful but nice heard those bad boys are on a completely different level.

At 14 I broke both wrists at the same time. They out me in casts, one above the elbow and one below A week later to see how I was progressing they decided the one below the elbow needed replacing with one above the elbow. At 14 and having to ask your mother to wipe your bum after number twos isn't fun I have you know For pain, at 17 I crashed a go kart and almost severed my foot. It was hanging at a very odd angle but I couldn't see properly due to clothes and shoes. When the paramedics arrived they wouldn't let me look and then put my foot back to roughky where it should be. I vaguelly remember chatting to the ambulance crew as high as a kite being rushed to hospital. They were talking about me losing my foot. Fortunately I still have it but they had to fuse my ankle so have very limited movement. Also gall stones, they fecking hurt too. Those injections into joints are fecking painful too

You did the right thing, well done. Yesterday morning I was in the daily doing 35 in a 40 due to the horrible light conditions when someone came alongside me doing much more than the speed limit and indicated to my lane. I was watching him with one eye on the car in front what I didn't see is the lights turn to Amber and the car in front lift off and start to brake. The douche along side accelerated at this point to beat the lights. I checked in front and had to brake hard. I got within 6 ft of the car and it slowly moves forward and I stop half of my car where the car in front would've been. I thank the guy with thumbs and when we move forward he turns into a supermarket and follow just to thank him for his quick thinking. Turns out the guy was CID, saw the lights changing and noticed the douche too. I shook his hand, thanked him and went on. Edit: my point is it only took a second of me being distracted ted for it to start to go very wrong even when I'd given plenty of distance and was doing a speed in line with the conditions.

Ahhhh good point. Thanks for replying though, always good to get several perspectives on a game

I remember your write up from the beta and that's why I asked about the "fun" part as average physics, graphics etc can be forgiven IF the game is fun to play. I think I'll steer clear of this. I may fire up burnout paradise for old times sake.... I'm sure it won't be as fun as I remember though. On another note, I'm loving GTA V reboot, I played it on the 360 quite a lot and this is still giving me plenty of enjoyment which is exactly what gaming should be for me
-
Interesting, I know you say you're enjoying it but is it fun? I know that seems an odd question considering you have said you enjoy it but I was hoping this would have a similar feel to burnout paradise as I've said earlier. That didn't have the best graphics, car dynamics etc but the stunts and races were great fun with friends. I've been wanting something similar for quite sometime.

Haven't played destiny in a while and don't have the time to invest in competing that beast but good luck

I assumed I4N was taking you seriously

Isn't this the reversing sensor sounder? And the zed isn't certified to tow in the UK.

Yeah he was so full of character and as his commands were mostly visual with a few using his lead he used to turn his back on his mum as if to say "I can't see you sI I'll do as I please" He was the best in the class and flew through it so haven't seen him for a while. Edit. He was named after Jim Parsons character in the Big Bang theory due to his "character"

Glad you had a great night but jeez how do you manage to eat all that? I struggle with sharing a starter & pizza and I'm the size of a small family car

Oh and Humpy, not long now. Have you got some up to date pics? Love boxers they can be bonkers though. There was an albino one in our dog training class who unfortunately was deaf and his face would go pink when he was being naughty

Bit of an update on our pup (almost two). It seems the X-rays did show up an issue with one of her hips. She's too old (up to12 months) to correct it so she's had to join fat fighters as the bet thinks her slightly overweigh condition isn't heloing and along with hydrotherapy with fish oil supplements forbthe short to medium term. Long term it's likely to be a hip replacement but that's a loooong time off. It was quite upsetting to be honest however now we know at least we can help manage it and look for signs. On a positive side she's stikk Her happy bouncy self. Thanks for listening, this forum is superb
