Seems People do bite quite quickly though... Phishing catches victims 'in minutes' http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/technology-32285433 I hardly ever get stuff like this. I follow a few simple rules which include: when providing my email address I read the t&c's carefully and ensure I'm opted out of any marketing. Never open links from unreliable sources, if it's from a financial institute I do business with I will always go via the official website and not any links. Never publish my email address on public facing sites such as forums I honestly don't know how you guys all seem to have these problems

All this just for a watch..... What are you going to be like next year when they announce a watch which works Fixed that for you. I'm sorry I like apple products but the watch and strap I'd choose is close to 1k and the peripheral I'm buying would be out of date within 12 months, possibly 6. I realise the strap is getting on for 1/3 of the price and I'm guessing they will offer gen 2 without a strap come September

I once went on a beginners photography course and the tutor said his wife will never go to each a film with him any more as he gets caught up in analysing the shots. Film is photography but on a faster scale, each of the frames is a photograph Some nice tips in here though, thanks Edit: my OH bought me the beginners course on groupon, cost something like £40 for an all day course and even though I thought I knew some of the basics this helped either me understand why or actually correct my knowledge. Would recommend something similar if you see a local one pop up.

For settings etc I use an iOS app called "photcaddy" has some excellent tips, tricks and a list of settings for quite a few different scenarios. I also add my own notes to each category as I find what does or doesn't work.

It's quite narrow country lanes but NSL around there. Not good for anything other than pootling in the weather we've had today if I'm to be honest.

Never Winter is on XB1?? I loved the PC game when it was released years ago... don't suppose it's on PS4 also? It's free on xb1 too. Not sure it's my type of game. Just watched the Rainbox 6 Siege trailer and I'm liking the look of the gameplay, graphics are average but it is pre-alpha.

Some of us don't read every single post and thread page on the forum sir! To be fair, this has been for the most part a riveting read of fiction To paddy's point I think everyone has an opinion on this and fact gets mixed up in hearsay and conjecture especially when the water cooler effect kicks in..... Ah buggar I've turned American, I'm off to stick my head down the toilet

BBC Worldwide most likely sold the license/rights to someone for the live shows. Pretty sure they're not BBC productions Probably ClarkeHamMay productions

I need to get back into it and try the online heists. Didn't play the online much as I can't be bothered talking to idiots... Edit: the idiots comment was aimed at what seems to be kids which are always inhabiting the online game worlds I'm dropped into.

He says he hasn't resigned but if he were to it would be privately with BBC HR and not via an email. Reading Glrnet's link I don't think he has plans to yet. I think if he says it will provide stability to the behind the camera team and can only be good for a relaunch of the show.

Ive parked The Last Of Us for now, damn bloaters Still dipping into black flag, also have far cry 4 on the go and have dipped back into COD advanced warfare again... All on the Xbox. I've been looking for something to play on the PS4 but haven't spotted anything which I don't already have on the Xbox and want to play. Spotted drakes fortune a thiefs end for preorder in game at the weekend, was interested until I realised it wasn't out until "2016". Not sure I'd hand over my cash for a 2016 preorder with game

i wondered about MH370 myself and wether to was a terrorist attack but I very much doubt it. Surely they'd want all the publicity that "they" could and claim responsibility early on. Sadly I think like this case it's likely to be an act by a single person who at that point in time for whatever reason decided to take everyone else's life along with their own. I can't help but feel for those poor persons on board knowing they were having their last moments and couldn't do anything about it. Air travel doesn't really worry me though and like others I can't explain why this hasn't impacted that negatively.

Another thing which I dont think has been talked about in the thread but I think just as important. What is the situation with Andy Wilman? He's as much a driving force (pun intended) behind the success of top gear as the presenters are. BBC suggest he's still in the loop but I wonder for how long before he jumps too. I think he's as important to any alternative product as the presenters.

But he hasnt gone or lost his job, he just Isnt having his contract renewed. He is still employed by the BBC as we speak. I'm a contractor and as per what was said a few pages back, it's much easier to let a contract lapse, especially for the incredibly short time in question. The effect is much the same, no more money and it's not like he needs references, a future employer knows precisely what they get from him. There's zero legal recourse to not being renewed, as it is an expectation at the start of the contract - there is an end date. Terminate it early, for whatever good reason and you open that up tp legal challenges etc. I'm just surprised they didn't delay the decision to the very last minute. I understand the implications of contracting I've looked into it many times and a l know/work with an awful lot. As I said a few pages back I do wonder what would have been the outcome if he'd signed the new contract. I didn't out any context but I was getting at the fact I don't think the Beeb would've had the balls and I also suspect clarkson wouldn't have reported himself I believe the current state of affairs is mutually beneficial, it gets the Beeb out of a hole and clarkson is free to follow up other offers without any penalties My pop is at the ever faithful journalism in the country, reporting something as fact when it's clearly not.

But he hasnt gone or lost his job, he just Isnt having his contract renewed. He is still employed by the BBC as we speak. That's the bit I'm confused about. All the news segments are saying he's been sacked and I've come to the same conclusion as you.... They are paying him until the end of his contract and not retaining him. But of a cop out by the Beeb if you ask me.
-
Yep they aren't renewing his contract. No mention of the other presenters.
-
I saw this too, the cynic in me thinks this is the BBC getting in first before his contract expires..... If he had just signed a new contact I honestly think it would've been a different outcome. Both parties are getting plenty of "free" publicity out of this

She's definatly a mummy's girl. She looks all over the house for her mum when she's not about. I'm guessing my rough and tumble play isn't as welcome as the cuddles from her mum Edit: thanks humpy, she's unique just like any of the wonderful pets in this thread

I had no choice with my Zed. The other parties insurance company refused to continue with repairs or at least that's what I was told despite me contesting the decision. As they were at fault I was told it was their decision.

So here's a recent picture of Hetti looking very judgemental.. For a change it wasn't about food but the lack of a fuss.

Well I'm enjoying the last of us even if im getting a little frustrated....bloaters I'm also playing black flag on the Xbox one and starting to enjoy that too.

Thanks for sharing and sorry for your loss. he looks like he found happiness in the last couple of years!

Agreed both great looking dogs and thanks for sharing So Humpy you're saying Dexter is going to end up in the slammer?! We've had 8 sessions of hydro/physiotherapy now and she's coming along great, she's still a little over weight but she's toned up nicely and we've noticed more energy and surprisingly confidence in her. Will have to get some pictures over the weekend. Keep your pets of all varieties coming folks
