Hidden Gem Movies that are Worth a Watch?
Fodder replied to allaboutthepasty's topic in Off Topic Discussion
I've been wanting to watch that. Not had chance yet. Bit of an odd ball I'd recommend "the dish" it's about a middle of nowhere town in Australia being instrumental I the moon landings. -
Hidden Gem Movies that are Worth a Watch?
Fodder replied to allaboutthepasty's topic in Off Topic Discussion
I agree. I couldn't explain to either and telling someone you watched a film about someone driving a car and eavesdropping on a story via phone conversation wouldn't win you many friends. Also whoever said Das Boot.... You need to watch the TV series as that is just superb... Building tension like you wouldn't believe. -
We only ever go mid week of an evening in school term. Nightmare of a place. A friend lives close by on the "new" housing estate at the back of M&S....imagine how he feels. Any bank holiday and its Cheshire Oaks with some zoo traffic thrown in. I also remember when that was all fields

Downloaded but won't get chance to play until the weekend which is just enough time for Dan's, Suits and your Drivatars to become awesome and crazy at the same time Please tell me the demo lasts until after the weekend!

I'd also insist they have full insurance. Once sold also ensure you cancel your policy straight away. I remember a story about someone being killed after buying the bike and as they didn't have insurance but the seller did then the seller was liable. Edit: just noticed Brillomaster had already pointed out insurance

75th anniversary of the Battle of Britain......and a little more
Fodder replied to Ebized's topic in Off Topic Discussion
I get goosebumps just thinking what those men and women from the free world faced. As Gareth said it was a concerted effort by an awful lot of nationalities and not just from the Empire it just so happened Britain was the last free nation aggressively opposing the darkness hanging over Europe. For TT350 I'd suggest you watch Eddie Izzards "mongrel nation" to understand what Britain is. I was asked by an American colleague the other day what the turning point was as even though he's well educated he never knew what happened pre December 41 with WW2 #lestweforget -
Been playing world of tanks on Xbox one. Quite enjoyable to be fair. Been intrigued by "everybody's gone to rapture" so please let me know how you're getting on bockaaarck Looks stunning but not sure about the gameplay.

If its electric I certainly wouldn't trust their battery life to be as advertised Edit due to typo

Nope - thats India - no help from there as above It may be worth trying the option in the menu for "you're thinking of leaving us" or whatever they call it; technically not the right department but that should go through to a UK call centre where hopefully they can get you sorted. The last time we spoke to them it was a Geordie and we wanted to change our package to unlimited data on 40Mbps (bought an Xbox one) as the other half is the account holder she spoke to them; they did try and sell her their top package saying it was only £5 extra a month. I was sat next to her and heard them say this so I asked if I could speak to them..... I asked what extra it gave me which he said double the speed so I asked if he could do a line test.... He obliged and informed me my line was good for 35Mbps so would I like to upgrade from 40Mbps...... can't blame a guy for trying I told that story as I feel your pain. Good luck

It's been a while since I've posted an update. Hetti has now lost 4kg down to 30kg. We need her to lose another 3kg. We had some problems with her hydro therapy at first.... She was so stressed by the whole experience however she's grown to love it. I'll have to edit some of the gopro footage I have an upload a video. Anyway here's a picture of her this morning enjoying a relatively empty park along with the sunshine.

Now get an offsite and you will be there...... Nice solution joking apart. I'm just conscious of wording... Used to having to spell things out to avoid ambiguity. Especially in written form. Oh and £300 even today for that is pretty good going. May be of use if you list what NAS boxes and drives you use.
-
I'm slightly confuzzled. You say you went overboard with 3 NAS "drives" however you've listed 3 different purposes for each one albeit one of those is a backup device. Your wording seems to suggest a single 2tb spindle per use. I may be being nitpicky with your wording but I'd like to see RAID 1 and not just a single spindle for your backup and then at least a second asynchronous off premise copy...... then maybe you were getting close to being overboard BTW I'm far too flippant with my own data at times but we won't get into that Advice for any of you who do back up your data... Try recovering once in a while, you can become far too complacent with your backups Good luck OP I can't give advice for memory card recovery as I don't really have any experience there.

Firstly you've got great neighbours!! Secondly as per Stu's post I've quoted I immediately thought the "British rail tunnel paint" Del Boy used to paint The Chinese takeaways kitchen as well as their mothers grave in Only Fools & Horses  I know I'm showing my age but that has to be a classic episode.

I don't need an apple watch for that... If the meeting has attendees other than anusual core of colleagues who I have total respect for I know it's going to boil Still not convinced to get one......yet

I thought this was an urban myth. It just appears that way as the skin and flesh shrinks due to decomposing?

It's a 60 minute demo. I had about 10 minutes last night attempting the training.... It's hard on a pad but I think with perseverance it could be a good game. I wish they'd allowed you to complete all the training and then give you 60minutes actual game time. I feel you won't even cover 10% of the training missions in an hour.

Spotted around 12.30 parked up at Westminster Park shops. I was walking the dog and couldn't see the reg. I've seen it before a few weeks back parked to the side of the chip shop, again lunchtime and I was walking the dog

Just downloading Elite Dangerous preview from the Xbox store.... Not sure what it will be like on console but as a free demo I'll give it a go. £25 for the full "preview" version.

sounds like you have a cable fault somewhere before the faceplate. Voice requires both a positive and negative feed, your data only a single feed IIRC. Colleague had this exact issue last week.

A41 stretches from London to Birkenhead, quite a looooooong road. If you stated town/junction etc it may help

gopro - corrupted files - need repair help :-)
Fodder replied to neo's topic in Off Topic Discussion
Sounds silly but did you try importing into go pro studio? Not all media players handle gopro created files and I've found them to be choppy etc unless you process them with gopro studio first. It's a free download and you don't need to own a gopro. -
Do you think that's down to the media used (lower write speed for requirement) or just settings? I ask as I saw something similar when playing with a gopro capture and I put that down to recording at a lower frame rate than my edit was for. Nice holiday video in the other thread Steve however I'd have spent a little more time trimming some of the transition shots if you know what I mean. That said its a great movie which will hopefully give you great memories in years to come. A much better effort than I've managed so far but I think a pic upgrade is on the cards. I know there is a photography tips and tricks thread, video one may also be a good idea.

I'm guessing proof of purchase is required to prove you haven't stolen or bought it on the black market. Can't help with any advice other than stated but hope he's sorted out soon, the folks with Downs I've had the pleasure of meeting are real characters with a great sense of humour etc but little patience so I hope he's able to get his data back. Get his dad to make regular backups in future. You can even configure to sync over wifi if it helps with his situation. Good luck

I thought the same but is the spark asking as he doesn't agree with what's being requested.... Don't take this the wrong way OP but either do it now properly or not at all. Running cables and not doing anything with them is a bad idea IMO. The type of questions you have asked make me feel you don't fully understand what's needed or how to go about it - that's not a dig just an observation, you can't know everything about everything
-
Isn't hard wired the way to go if possible? There is so much conflicting info online that I wonder if it's even worth running any cable at all. I was trying to think of commanders forum name as he's forgotten more than I've ever known about networks.... Which is very little I do think personally wired would probably be the way to go in a private property and for the needs you've listed. Not all devices are WiFi enabled and for things like CCTV it can provide power. I'm also thinking TVs where WiFi is an upgrade or where there's interference and/or contention. It's expensive though and the reason I thought I'd go home plugs for my needs.
