Hahaha 5 yrs eh, well it might be 5 feckin years before AA get here too still no sign Just incase, if it is the battery the AA will probably want to sell me one, they usually have ones with 2 year garantees. If this is indeed the battery should i get my own or just go with the AA one ? If buying one for myself is better.....which one ? Cheers peeps.

Being from Thorngumbald i know all to well about the Hull speed bump nightmare....Newland ave and any of the avenues !!!!! I was pulled over yesterday coming home from work and ended up actually meeting a decent copper !! yer thats what i said... decent The road i travel down to get home from work is peppered with pot holes and rutts and i refuse to drive over them so i purposely weave all over the place to avoid them. Mr police man followed me in his T5 for almost a mile before giving me the blues, i knew he was there but i wanted to make a point. He had a good look around my zed and praised it, we got talkin about the state of the roads and road tax etc his words were my driving was a little unorthodox but given the situation aceptable within reason. Personally i think he just wanted a chat about cars nice guy though. Being a traffic cop he did say they are in talks with the local councils but i wasnt to hold my breathe about any repairs too soon And then he amazed me with his closing statement ! get this, i quote " Do me a favour and just give some straight line umph when you set off pal lol " We then parted and i just caught him grinning in my rear view mirror You dont see that everyday do you.

Its actually untrue about ANY paint being the hardest to match ! Fact. If you have the correct code and its mixed correctly thats the paint side of things matched, however the application is where things get tricky !! When a base coat is applied the metal fleck can :- 1) Be applied at a random pressure resulting in a difference in patterns, Lines or zebra'ing etc. 2) Being applied at a random distance. See above. 3) Even being applied in a different direction to what already painted. See also above. There are many more factors which can affect metalic fleck laying differently to the rest of the car which makes "Matching" a hit and miss procedure. God i am boring Hope this helps in some way.

There is no such thing as a good paint repair that is done on your drive !!!! cowboys Its a bigger procedure then most people think to get rid of a chip or scrape and in my albiet ex-professional opinion ALL paint needs to be baked !!! COB paints are always the hardest to match and then they still need blending out over a large area. Patience and a steady hand will do as good a result as any forcourt paint "Technician" on stone chips. Vale.

Actually looking at the z-store site is doenst give any info on the type of oil needed for the diff and gear box ! any ideas what grades and quanitities please ? Thanks again
-
Thanks guys, i checked the z-store and i am wondering why they sell the denso plugs at £100 and yet Opie do them for £48 inc vat before forum discount !!!! Guess shopping around counts eh good place to check the other oils needed though, thanks Rich. Think i will go with the Opie oil for the engine as i will be ordering the plugs anyhow. I guess the gear oil and diff oil is a much of a muchness also then ? so long as i get the right ?w?w or what ever it is

Hi all, Sorry for posting this here but wasnt sure which forum to use, please move if needed. Ok, i just got my Zed 2 weeks ago and even though it had a service at 45000 i am doing its 54k one early for piece of mind. I am not using my local Nissan dealer as they are total wan%%%s !!! long story, so i am using my trusted friend at Ford who has always looked after me, i get 50% discounted labour charges So, i am taking the advice i read here and i am going to buy the Denso Iridium Power Spark Plugs. But i need to know what make of oil and filter you all think is the right one and where theres a good place to but it from, online. Also, should i replace the diff and gearbox oils ? if so what oils are these ? Thanks for any info, regards.... Vale.

Hi, i used to paint cars for a living, 289 Cobra's mainly, unfortunately the only way you can polish a scratch out is if it hasnt gone through your lacquer top coat. If this is the case then forget trying to polish it out. If its a surface scratch then you can use a product called farecla g3 which is used in combination with water, the more water used the finer the compound becomes untill eventually it leaves a polished looking surface, you then have to polish the area to re-apply protection. WARNING !!! the scratch would need flatting out over a large area with a 1200 SF wet and dry being ULTRA carefull you didnt cut through to the base coat !!!! If the scratch has cut deep enough to reach the base coat then its a repsray job to do it propperly. With it being a COB (Clear over Base) its quite easy to blend the base over one panel, especially the size of the panels on a zed lol but the top coat would need to cover a larger/fuller area. Example.... Stone chip on door, flat back whole door and blend base coat.. top coat of lacquer would need to be spread over the full panel. Of course this is just a examle, usually the further you blend the harder it is to see a difference in the way the fleck lays in the base. Sorry mate, hope its not too deep. Vale.

Obviously i dont direct this at 350z drivers as they are ALL incredibly awesome but i have always adopted the mental attitude that EVERYONE else on the road is an idiot !!!! i ALWAYS expect some cretin to be on the wrong side of the road or about to pull out on me. I think this attitude is the only reason i have NEVER hit anyone else...... the time i put a car in the ditch was purely confusion over being mis-informed Its also why i have never bought a Fireblade...... 99% of the time its other people that kill you !!! Respect and be safe peeps. Vale.

Ah yes that old radio tune up its sorted my whurring drive train noise a treat Rich
-
Hahahahahahaha you have a thing about £30 dont you Rich Our lass knows NOTHING costs £30 !!!! She is shrewd If i said "Honey, it only costs £30" Her reply would be a full TCI floor restraint and a hot breathed whisper in my ear saying "How much...LIAR ?" while she gently yet precisely manoeuvres my thumb to an impossible position leaving me only the option of wheezzing the truth !!! Thanks for the idea but i will have to work around that value
-

And 4, lots of coffee in place for been slapped Cool......now then, where is that credit card

Just out of intrest i have had it exactly a week today, and i filled it to the neck on monday morning, and i filled it again tonight. I do 120 miles exactly for the week and it took £20.01 to fill back up. Can anyone work out the MPG ? i paid 1.03p per litre. The computer said it was 27.3 mpg....is that right ?
