  1. Yeah we all know you can bolt a turbo/supercharger on but this was apparently a "special order from the factory"
  2. A fellow scoobynetter has a familly member who's neighbour apparently ownes one, smelt like bs to me (i work for a nissan dealership).
  3. Is this statement correct? "apparently is was a special order (from Japan) through a UK dealers. One of only two in the country apparently".
  4. Cheers guys hav'nt fitted them yet but will do soon, with confidence

  7. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Hi all, i'm about to do a much needed brake upgrade on my my06 wrx, i'm going from the o.e. wrx 4pots/294mm discs with o.e. pads to a k-sport 356mm 2 peice disc and 8 pot calipers, my only concern follows a chat with a mate on this forum who said there have been some very bad reviews on the k-sport pads, dont want to spend a wad of cash and end up with no noticable improvement in the braking, so who on here has used the k-sport pad with the above rota/caliper combination and what are the issues? should i bin the k-sport pad first as last and use another pad, any recomendations? i've heard the pf01's are good but expensive, cheers Jarvis
  8. Diggz pm replied, mirror still available.
  9. Short notice i know but anyone fancy attending this? put your name down on the thread that ive linked, looks like it's going to be a cracker http://bbs.scoobynet.com/wales-26/75785 ... ckday.html
  10. Out of sheer curiosity, you said you were paintshop estimator, what would Nissan charge for a proper respray? We've done a few 350's and the cost would depend on the level of prep required i.e. dents /scrathes/chips/corossion, i think the yellow mica gt4 was £2'250 inc and a black one we did over xmas was iro 2k, it does cost abit to get the glass taken out via a glass specialist.
  11. Have been happy with the scoob for a while now but with extra power just a bolt on part and remap away and being one that likes to keep up with my mates if we go on a run, These include: evo6 tommi makkinen, escort cosworth, pulsar gti-r, evo4 rs, evo8 mr,(least powerful of whitch is the nissan @ 320bhp & most powerfull being cosworth over 500) and the scooby boys, now 100% happy but get board owning a car over 3yrs, if i did have a 350Z id have to go down the forced induction route (turbo/supercharger) and having gone down this route in the past with massive bhp & performance gains but with poor reliability, i would be dubious of going down that road again
  12. Take a look at scooby net and the mlr
  13. Yeah std 2001>wrx not to good circa 160bhp/ton 0-60 about 6secs, spend a modest sum on bolt ons and i now have 275bhp/ton 0-60 3.8
  14. I know what you mean, thats why i think i got the urge to sell the scoob after over 3 years of ownership, but when i thoght about it i realised that out and out performance is NO:1 priority for me and probably could'nt live with a comparetively slow car, thats why i was considering a change to an evo, my other problem is i dont see the exclusivity because i see them on a daily basis in work.
  15. Having not driven a 350 on the open road for a few years but remembering how fast it felt accelerating from 80mph, but since having tuned my impreza wrx in 4 stages did'nt realise how much the performance of the scoob had improved until i drove a 350z foot to the floor up a motorway onslip and was just totally dissapointed, as said my car is just a wrx not an sti, its a 2006 2.5 model "hawkeye" std power 230bhp ish but ive seen power at about 270, 330, 360 and now 380bhp/405lbs.ft with over 400lbs.ft at just 3000rpm, it also sounds great, handles well, is comfortable and quite refined, looks mean as hell, and i love it, but despite all this i did recently have the urge to buy a Z,
