Had my windscreen changed today and now I hear so much more air noise coming in through my window! It is only noticable at speeds over 45mph. I have also noticed that my auto window closing fails now- the window winds up to the top then shoots back down to the middle, however if I keep my finger on the button is rolls up fully. Do you think it could be something obstructing the windows - how could the fitter mess up my windows?? Also i still have the flashing air bag light and have tried the fix written on the forum but it does not work for myself as the light stays on, the car is still under warrenty would Nissan look at the problem and fix it under warrenty?

The light came on this morning as I went to take my car for its service and hasent stopped flashing - The red air bag or seat belt flashing light. Anyone know whats up? Very strange I havent messed with anything. p.s - my car failed mot Crack in windscreen out of view passenger side at the bottom next to road tax. sucks

Not to bad then couldn't remember what I did pay last time. Anyone know where I can find what the change at each service?

Wait a minute have I just made a mistake my car is due its 3rd year service for 30k miles this is a P3 service right??

Taking my car into a non dealer for p3 service tomorrow is there a checklist of what is to be changed on p3? I thought it was in the service log book but cant seem to find it there?

Oil levels are low so I did top up a little today which should help, I cant pinpoint where the rattle/tapping is coming from its definatly coming from the front end of the car. It sounds like a tap more than rattle.

My car is quite overdue a service by a bit but luckily I have booked it in for this thursday with a non dealer garage which should save me some money. At the moment though I can hear a rattling noise usually in the morning but is heard most the time. Its not in the cabin its a definate noise coming from the engine and nothing is flapping about loose. Only happened the last week or so. Any ideas what it could be or does anyone have the same problem.

No don't think its limited to that but I never hear it when I drive at certain speeds its usually at low speeds if that makes a difference. Yeh I found that with mine that I noticed it when I was rolling along or with the windows down... If you know the bits I mean then just reach around behind the wheel and see if they are flaking... If anyone else knows what they are called and can say if they can be removed then please chip in!! Is the thin metal surrounds to the brake disc you always catch and take the skin off your knuckels when your cleaning the wheels!!! I seemed to notice the replacements dont come with them! I don't know which part that is I will have a look, is it safe to remove? Strange how I have only noticed it recently

there is a little metal flange thingy on OEM pads that when the pad is worn, will rub against the disc Does it look like a clip? like a L shape thin piece of metal Ill have to have a look anyway, I am correct in thinking that both front and rear brakes should wear out at about the same rate.. seems the noise is coming from the rear only...

So you didn't even need to end up changing them? Did the noise stop? My brake pads def need to be changed the squealing is unbearable!!

I did not know there was a wear indicator, im probably thinking thats right, because the pads are extremly low!

Im getting this strange noise when im driving it sounds like a grinding noise on the wheels not a loud one - I can hear it when the windows are down. I know my brake pads are due for a change but doubt it would be that causing the noise because im not braking? Anyone ideas its really getting on my nerves now

I had all my valve caps stolen aswell, first two went then then second two! So I invested in some lockable Z valve caps from ebay, quite cheap aswell think they were £4, and they have still managed to stay on so far!

+1, well for one of them. Have two. Or in the hangbag. I don't use the phones when I am driving, it's more so I don't forget them when getting in and out of the car, or if I wish to make a call when I've reached the destination. Lol, it should be. I have to admit I cringe too. Concentration is key. Am I the only one without and Ashtray???

Never dealt with Coventry but I have dealt with Westway Wolverhampton and Stourbridge and Birmingham and they seem ok.

My reminder has been reminding me for a while now its time for a service, and im on my p3 service this time after 30k miles. Called my local Nissan and they have quoted me £357 just for the service, which didn't really impress me to be honest. Also my brakes are making a squealing sound so im guessin the the brake pads are in need of a change. Money a bit short after a rather expensive holiday so im thinking of getting of not using Nissan for this service, do any of you guys use a local garage to do the services or stick to Nissan? Cheers

I used to only Shell Optimax in but now I use standard 95 and I see absolutly no difference in performance or fuel consumption
