Hey guys, It happened last night when I was dropping girlfriend off. When she had got out of car I think I heard a faint beep tried to open the window from drivers side and nothing, tried again with passenger switch no luck. I tried switching car off locking it and unlocking it. Is there a window reset procedure? Any ideas Cheers Glen

Hey all, I've had a faint knocking noise from the passenger rear wheel area. It doesn't happen all the time, sounds similar to the spare wheel being loose. I have removed the spare wheel and tried it but the noise is still there. Just removed both rear wheels and checked for anything loose, all ok. Hit the damper body with the palm of my hand and you get a metallic kind of noise possibily sounds like something is loose inside the damper. Checked the other side and no such noise, seems strange as dampers normally start knocking when the oil has leaked out and there is no signs at all of any damper oil leak. How much are rear dampers and where is the best place to get hold of them? I take it they must be replaced in pairs like most cars? Thanks Glen.

Oh I see, what the difference in price for a 6 puck and normal full radius? Is there much point using a 6 puck clutch if your running standard ish power? Thanks Glen.

I think I prefer the look/sound of the ACT flywheel (never been a fan of these dual mass flywheels, just something else to break and cost a fortune) not sure if I would get the Pro flywheel as it seems as if it would be too light for road use and would lose the driveability and flywheel effect of a heavier flywheel. What is difficult about using this clutch? Thanks Glen

Just seen the Nismo flywheel and clutch kit. What is this flywheel like? Is it steel or ally, looks on piece steel? Im abit worried about using an ally 2 piece flywheels due to the horror stories of the clutch noise and rattle etc? Any advice would be great? Thanks Glen

What is a decent lightweight flywheel that doesnt cost the earth? Also same question for a clutch? Many Thanks Glen

Saw a silver 53 plate 350z on the A40 going into London just before Hanger Lane tunnel? I was coming out of London in a Sunset Orange 350z Anyone on here?

My scorpion exhaust is still sitting pi**ed. Anyone else has this issue and how did they adjust it? Thanks
-
Yeah spark plug socket, 10mm for engine cover and coil pack bolt, and 14mm for strut brace bolts.
-
Just done them on my Z. There pretty easy, I took off the strut brace and engine cover for better access. Its abit fiddley holding the wiring harness out of the way while you remove the ignition coil and get the spark out and back in. Have fun.

That black box/bracket thing has 2 10mm bolts that hold a plastic cover on the right hand side. I only glanced at what was up there and seem to remember seeing a filter? Just been out for a spin and the mod to the chassis brace worked a treat. Still got a faint rattle/knock from rear passenger side, but that was there before i fitted the new exhaust.

Hi all, Fitted my Scropion exhaust today at work. It looks good and sounds good too, however the fit of the exhaust is not brilliant. The centre pipe of mine was about 3-4mm away from the under chassis brace and as a result kept hitting it. The silencer when first fitted sat pi**ed (left tail pipe sits further forward than the right) and there is a black bracket on the right hand side of the car that fouls the exhaust silencer. I have played around with the fit of it and got it alot better but it's still not perfect so I'll looking at it again. I fixed the issue of it hitting the under chassis brace by removing it and flattening the the double skinned section that the exhaust fouls on. If this is not enough (I havent driven it since modding the brace) the bolts that hold the brace on seem long enough to be able to space the brace abit. The black bracket was removed and had the corner removed that fouled the exhaust silencer. Here are some of the picture (sorry for poor quality, as there off my phone) http://s597.photobucket.com/albums/tt54/mac1984gsm/ Thanks

Yeah it turned up about 1pm the next day. Thanks again.

Fitting my Scorpion exhaust tomorrow at work (its handy being a technician lol) hopefully I wont have too many problems. Will keep you posted. On a side note I had to fit a Supersports exhaust from Quicksilver Exhausts to a V8 Vantage today and bloody hell it was loud but sounded fantastic.

I've just done a P2 service and the spark plug change, it's not hard and is a nice car to work on. I should find it easy being I'm technician by trade Fitting my Scorpion exhaust tomorrow at work another perk i suppose to being a mechanic, having a ramp when you need it.

Hey, What service/mileage is the LSD oil meant to be changed, and what grade diff oil should I be using. I know it has to be an LSD oil and not regular diff oil? Many thanks
-
I've just worked out my MPG, and it's 24.8 mpg and 338miles before the light came on. Not bad for a mix of city, motorway, and pratting about

I'm just outside Uxbridge.

Hi, Is anyone on here live around the West London or Middlesex area? Many thanks Glen

Can't beat the Aston Martin DBS exhaust note, the V8 Vantage sounds great too. I am abit bias though being that I work for them! lol I've fitted a Larini system to a standard DB9 and bloody hell was it loud. I've just bought my 350z and was wondering if there was any real benefits of the true dual exhaust system? I am also tempted to knock a similar setup to the Aston's Active bypass system, which would give the best of both worlds. Thanks.

Does this improve torque aswell? How much to they sell for? As there are no prices on Envy's website? Thanks.

Sorry no photos at the moment. Just finished washing it after the birds keep shitting on it! I wonder if thats something to do with the colour lol. Will get photos up asap. Oh how do I post pictures on here? Thanks

Thanks for the welcome guys. I have a Sunset Orange 04 GT spec 350z, and yes I got a good deal on it. I've done about half a tank of petrol since Good Friday when I picked it up. Where is the best place to get hold of genuine Nissan service parts as the car is due a service soon? Thanks

Hi, Just picked up my 04 350z today, loving every minute of apart fom watching the fuel needle drop rather quickly Think I need to adjust my driving style.

Does anyone know or know I can find some info on what all the numbers and letters stand for on the VIN number? Many thanks
