  1. Blue 55 plate 350z on A30 or A38 towards Exeter. I was in the 04 plate Orange 350z. Lost sight of it for a while then it suddenly appeared in my rear view mirror again for a short time till I left the road on my way down to Plymouth for New Year Eve!!!
  2. I saw that white 350z in the lay by in Beaconsfield a couple of times, and it hadn't moved. Was probably abandoned when we had the heavy snowfall the weekend before Christmas.
  3. They must have a fuel filters in the tank then like the Aston's do. But its not classed as a serviceable item changed during a routine service. I plugged my 350 onto our generic Snap On Modus OBD kit and it was showing no fault codes. I had a quick look around the engine bay for obvious fuel leaks, none found. the fuel rails are very hard to get a look at what with the manifold being in the way. I'm going to get it on a ramp and check the fuel lines and tank for anything. My fuel gauge is in the middle of half a tank and quarter of a tank, and I've done about 152 miles. I'm going to keep digging bbecause its beginning to annoy me now! Thanks
  4. Thank god it's not just me as I am also suffering from the same issues. I usually get at least 300miles from full to when the light comes on, however recently I'm getting around 275miles when the light comes on! No change in driving style. I'm going to use the diagnostic gear at work to see if I can pull any codes out of it and maybe get it on a ramp to check for any fuel leaks. Anyone know when the fuel filter is due off the top of their head? Thanks.
  5. Bugger!!!! What holds it to the headlining?
  6. This is the stuff I used on my headlining. http://www.fabricspray.co.uk/shop/uphol ... ight-black You will need a minimum of 2 cans. I'm ordering another can (3rd can) to dust over the whole thing to get a darker finish. Does any one know if it is possible to remove the sunglasses holder and interior light trim without removing the whole headlining? Thanks
  7. Is it possible to remove the sunglasses holder and roof light section with out taking out the headlining? Thanks

    Carbon Wrap

Looks good. Has anyone sucessfully covered the centre stack section around the head unit, cubby hole and the gear lever/HVAC controls surround with Carbon fibre film? I'm looking to cover the section around the gear lever and HVAC controls aswell as the arm rests? Thanks.
  9. Mine was sprayed with upholstery paint and not standard spray paint you can get from Halfords. I'll try and find the website I bought mine from. You will need 2 cans maybe 3 to be on the safe side. Using standard spray paint leaves a hard/crusty finish and sometimes is doesn't soak in and will flake off, which I've had before on a previous car. I would love it in black alcantara too. We have a written off Aston Martin that I've got my eye on for its headlining.
  10. Looks like someone beat me too it. I used a fabric upholstery paint/dye (when you spray it, it is like coloured water). Darren is it possible to remove the sunglasses storage box with out removing the headlining? When you tried dying the headlining what dye did you use? I used paint on a previous car and like you said it came out a little hard an crusty, but I guess it depends on the paint and the actual roof material. Here is my photos, http://i990.photobucket.com/albums/af30 ... G_1421.jpg http://i990.photobucket.com/albums/af30 ... G_1422.jpg http://i990.photobucket.com/albums/af30 ... G_1420.jpg Still got to paint the 2nd clip the holds the sunvisor in place.
  11. Hey guys, been busy last couple days. I'll take some photos and get them up tomorrow I was going to take out the headlining but after I removed and the sprayed the sun visors and saw the consistency of the paint/dye I tried a little on the plastic trim and when it dries it just rubs of with ease (it only works on anything absorbent). So I masked off the majority of the interior with seat covers and dust sheets and got to work spraying. I havent got round to painting the plastic sunglasses storage box area (and interior sensors etc) as I'm not quite sure if its removeable without taking out the headlining. I sprayed the vanity mirrors black with a rubberised spray paint from Halfords I think. I agree with you on this one and looks odd that the rest of the interior is black. After coming from an Audi TT with black headlining the light grey in the 350z really irritated me (made think it was nicked out of a Micra or something equally as dull) Also working on Aston Martins, black alcantara headlinings look fantastic. Photos will be up tomorrow.
  12. I have sprayed my headlining black with the upholstery paint you can get from the internet. I'll get some photos up.
  13. I saw a 04 plate silver 350z with a Scorpion exhaust on the A40 today heading out of London at Park Royal about 11 - 11.30am, I was in the dark silver DB9 in the middle lane Anyone on here?
  14. BOLLOCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Just tried removing the vanity mirror out of one of the sun visors, and it shot off the table onto the floor and smashed! Not happy bunny! Should have been paying more attention to what I doing rather than trying to watch TV at the same time! Wonder how much Nissan want for abit of mirror glass? If it's silly money i'll find a glazer to cut one to fit.
  15. It's really starting to annoy me now and coming from an Audi TT with black interior, including the headlining . Hopefully I will be able to do it within the next 2 weeks or it will have to wait another 3 weeks til I come back from New Zealand (can't wait!)
