  1. Have I not read on here with regards to FI that the OEM internals can handle up to 400BHP, so if you can get 100BHP boost from Nitrous on a 297bph car then it shouldn't have any adverse affects, or am I wrong. Does a nitrous boost put extra pressure on those internals which FI wouldn't?
  2. Season 7 was the latest series on TV and boxset, series 8 just started last weekend in the States so will be a while before it hit's our TV shores... Guy who works beside me had downloaded the first episode and watched it last night. Weird as anything but still absolute class.
  3. to the site. Superb looking car, is this the one with 321bhp
  4. I got the Redstuff pads front and back from CS on this site, if you see any posts made by CS he has a quote for these pads in his signature. I have found them very very good indeed. Braking power is superb whether cold or hot. Think the price is £109.99 delivered....and that's for all 4 corners.
  5. £25!!!! That's some markup when the mag cost around £4. I'll scan the pics of the GT-R R35 tuning, some nice GT-R's in the mag as well, even one with gull wing doors....
  6. When I was coming back from Tokyo I had a look at the Japanese Magazines and picked up this magazine which appears to be for tuners in Japan. Obviously couldn't understand a single word written but some good pics and maybe somebody can understand what they are talking about, also some good sections of tuning etc for the new 370Z so it's being developed already.....
  7. You wouldn't go wrong with the device one of the members on these forums sells, it means you can keep all your existing system and speakers etc. And the bonus is you would have plenty cash left over.... http://www.350z-uk.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=32&t=24395&start=0
  8. I also watched a few minutes and it was so bad I couldn't turn over. It is Val Kilmer who does the voice of Kitt too isn't it? Don't know why he decided to camp up his voice. Why would Val want to ever put his voice to this crappy series, the credit crunch must affect more people than I thought
  9. Your right about using windows mobile phones to simply make a call or send an SMS are clunky and I have used a few. But I got the HTC Touch Diamond when it was released and they have TouchFlo 3D running over the top of Windows Mobile and it makes it a million times better to simply send an SMS, make a call, access your email etc than phones which use the Windows Mobile interface. This is the longest I have ever owned a single phone, and the only way I will get rid of it is to get the newer HTC Touch Diamond 2 as the Touch HD is just too big for my liking. The TomTom running on the HTC is superb and very quick and responsive. I know apple go on and on about all these stupid apps, how many apps do you think are available for Windows Mobile devices? I would think there are at least 10 fold the amount of apps and always will be.
  10. Here is a link to a photo of the setup they had for Forza, there were about 8 of these units at the show:- Here is a link to all the other photo's I took at the show, one game I hadn't seen before was Quantum Theory, this very much looks like the PS3's version of Gears of War, looked superb. http://s596.photobucket.com/albums/tt43/maxiglasgow/Tokyo%20Game%20Show%202009/
  11. I went ahead and bought the TX1, just charging the battery right now but took a quick pic under my desk with very little lighting and it is truely amazing. I took the same photo with my current DSC-T10 which I have been using for quite a few years now and the difference isn't far away from the 200% they tout. Looking at the picture on my laptop it looks brighter on the screen than it does with my eyes looking at the live scene!!!!! I'm sure I read on signs in Glasgow airport before I left that your allowed an allowance of around £350 on cameras before tax from outside the EU.
  12. There were loads of people there to see all the cars, the biggest draw were the vans, mostly because of how load the music was mind you. I was actually disappointed that the video doesn't give a realistic impression of just how load this music was. In the last video when I walked behind the van with all red between the speakers and it started playing Boom Boom Pow by the black eyed peas, because I was only about 6 feet from it I could physically feel it vibrating off me, superb. Problem with buying any games etc is worrying that you can't switch them to English, I am going to buy myself a new camera today though. Had a look yesterday and checked their prices against what they are in the UK as just about everything is dearer over here due to the bad exchange rate, but the three models I looked at were a bit cheaper than back home. Just choosing between Sony T90, T900 and the newer TX1, anyone used these or would I be better looking at other cameras completely. The X1 appealed as its using a new imaging sensor which it allegedly makes low light shots 200% better....would have been ideal for last night
  13. Something in particular your looking for?
  14. Started doing the video uploads, I will add the links on this message as they complete:- This is just a brief look around the pimped up vans with their mega stereo systems:- This is look around some of the nice motorbikes on show:- A very pimped up 350Z:- Some more vans, but this has the ultimate party van with it's own smoke machine and laser show as well as full DJ deck:- Dancers putting on a show behind the vans:- More of the dancers:- Walking behind a line of the vans:- Last video behind the vans:-
  15. I like them very much. When you take the rear badges off do they not leave holes? Or did you need to have it painted before fitting the new badge?
  16. Thankfully Toki, a guy from our Tokyo office, took me tonight thru to Daikoku Futo to see all the cars and modified bits and bobs tonight. I have just finished uploading what photo's I got, sorry for some of the quality but it was dark in places and the flash doesn't do any of the cars any justice. I have some videos as well which I will upload, a couple of nice 350z's and also a black 370z which was cool. Loads of GTR's and you name it, it was there. The sound systems installed in some of the vans had to be seen to be believed and when walking past the sound would push against your chest the way it does at a very loud nightclub... Here is a link to the album I set up which has 71 photo's in it, enjoy. http://s596.photobucket.com/albums/tt43/maxiglasgow/Daikoku%20Futo/
  17. Well round a track on Forza Motorsport 3 that is!!!!!!!!! All I can say is ditch every racing game you have ever played as this is the daddy without question...... Had about 15 minutes play at the Tokyo Game Show today, they have a driving chair, the Microsoft wheel and three monitors, one straight ahead and the other two at either side at an angle with the relevant side views displayed, was more like a simulator than a game.... You just won't believe how good this game is, don't know when it's due out but the moment I am back there will be a pre-order made immediately. And I will also be buying the Microsoft wheel as soon as I get back as well, never had a racing wheel before so not sure if this is what made the game feel like nothing I have played before or not. As for the gameshow itself, I am absolutely shattered after spending most of the day trying to weave my way thru the crowds, had to stand in a queue for 50 minutes to get my hands on Forza and most of the big games were the same. And let's just say there were quite a few Japanese beauties there scantily clad for refreshing eye candy When I upload the photo's I got they will be on my photobucket account and I'll put a fresh link.
  18. I use a local test station who is mate of a mate and when I took mines just last month he mentioned it can't go on the rollers due to the diff. I had never heard of this before either but at least he knew his stuff which is a bit comforting.
  19. Was looking thru youtube to see what to expect when I go to the show tomorrow and came across this cracker of a trailer for Forza 3, it's full of Jap cars only and starts with a white 370z. Different class.... Show loads of different jap cars drift racing. Can't wait to try this out tomorrow now.....1 more sleep
  20. Scratch that, just found a forum with a guy posting pictures from this place last Saturday night and there was allsorts there, even Hummers with gull wing doors.... So going on Saturday evening If I get any photo's I will post them up. Seemingly Saturday night is the best night for GT-R's
  21. Hiya I've been quite a few times so can advise a little. The place to go is Daikoku Futo, its a convergence of the motorways in Tokyo and gets the biggest turn outs - Friday and Saturday nights. There's a mix of everything there so you won't just see 350Z's but all of Japan's finest machinery. You cannot get there without a car, I'd suggest meeting up with some locals. I know a few good guys out there who may help depending on dates etc... http://images.google.co.uk/images?hl=en ... =0&ndsp=20 You'll probably want to go to the Nismo Factory at Omori and maybe visit some other tuners, time dependant obviously. Whereabouts you staying specifically? Fire away with any questions Gaz One of the chaps in the office had volunteered to take me to Daikoku Futo but he spoke to his friend who was a frequent visitor to the meet and he said the police have stopped them using this place. They installed very large speed bumps to prevent most of the cars from entering and police it to stop them using the area. He is trying to find out where they all go now....
  22. Best one was I went in to get my road tax and the girl in the post office pointed out the number on my insurance certificate was NLZ 9523 and my number ends in 6. She gave me the tax anyway but told me to get in contact with Admiral because if I had a smash they could renege on the insurance.... I called up and they said I would need to pay £14 to change it, I said it's their mistake, it's not like I gave them the wrong details or how would they pull up the right car etc with the wrong registration number...She said when the certificate gets issued you have 14 days to notify of any errors. So I sent an email instead saying how this was THEIR mistake, not mines, yet I was being charged for THEIR mistake. Got and email back right away saying their were waiving the £14 charge....
  23. I would love the Z emblem wheel caps, but I asked several times on the other forum where someone had some of them in stock as I have the GT4 wheels and can't find anywhere what the size of the cap is??? Do you have a link to these kick plates so we can see what they look like, or does someone have a pick of them installed?
  24. I use Vimeo, they offer a free account and they even allow you to upload HD footage. http://www.vimeo.com Even youtube I think allow up to 10 minutes footage but they also put a size limit of the file, because it's not purely the length in time which dictates the file size, also the resolution and frame rate etc etc
  25. +1 - I swapped between them for a few years, always getting the ew customers special offer prices This is the thing which has always puzzled me about insurance companies, I have 9 years plus no claims and I guarantee it with my insurance as I don't want to lose it if I happen to make a mistake one day. But I have to move from company to company every year or so. I was with Admiral and had a cracking deal, come renewal time and the premium went up so I moved to More Than, then when renewal day came it had gone up so moved back to Admiral who were cheap again compared to the last renewal... Every other business knows that it's cheaper to keep a customer than find a new one, so who do insurance companies treat us this way, it must actually cost them millions a year by boosting their renewal premiums.
