  1. Let me start by saying that i home that i am doing something very stupid.

I had both windows down on my car about 5 mins before i set off the let all the hot air out. I locked the car out of habit and the alarm went off. No big deal.

I then set off. After driving for about 5 mins decided to put the windows up. The Passenger window went up fine but the drivers window will not go up!

I went back home, stoped the car. lock and unlocked the door, set and reset the alarm but stii the window refuses to move.

I had a quick look at all the fuses and they look fine. although i wasnt sure which one i should be checking. All the other stuff on the drivers door is fine too like the mirrors.

I have even tried disconnecting the battery and reconnecting it but that did not help.

Really need to figure out what this is as i cannot lock my car and i an screwed if it decided to rain.

    Thanks

    Steve

  2. Its been in there for over 2 years since I swapped to an Alpine h/u

Snap, had an Opeth album in current shed for over a year.

When I finally get a zed it's gotta be a mix of 80's goodness and metal methinks! The mighty Phil, bit of Bryan, some Bolton, and then randomly Opeth, Invocator and Soulfly! :band:

    Which opeth album?

we make 250,000 Horsepower generation, burn 1,000,000 Cubic Meters of gas per day and move around 1mm a year (in subsidance). Now thats fuel economy!

    R

HA! you think thats wasteful?! Thats nothing.

When i go to bed at night i leave my TV on standby and i NEVER unplug my phone charger!!!

  4. In this matter, it really is get what you pay for!!!

If you skimp and go for the rubbish stuff you will find that friction is increased which could lead to a premature ending.

Not to mention the risk of a nasty rash!!!

  5. great pictures Bullet.

I remember from a past post by someone that nissan didn't sell or supply the brackets independently and said that the poster would have to buy a complete new tonneau cover. So who ever you bought it from. I hope you got it cheap knowing that you'll be making some of your own brackets or ask for your money back.

I think i am that person and i can indeed confirm that Nissan are a crock of bastards who will only sell you the whole thing for £100

  6. Including mine there were 4 350z's parked in Reading Uni Gym car park today at 7.10pm.

Thats enough for a mini meet!!!!

    There was:

-A Black 57 plate that had been parked by a woman :p at the entrance to the car park

-A Sunset roadster in the top corner

-And a silver JDM in the gravel bit.

Thats in addtion to the blue one that i see driving down shinfield road everyday!

  7. Whilst I agree filling your car with it all in one go may not be advisable, as long as it is unleaded, why don't you use a gallon of it everytime you fill up? After 10 fills it is used up. After all it approx £250 worth of fuel.

What do you fill your car up with, liquid gold?!?!?!

10 gallons is around about 45L.

Needed to get rid of it quick anyway. Need the empty cans for next week.

  8. But then i would have to speak to a chav. Doing that would make me angry which isnt a good idea since i would be holding the means to set said chav alight!

Just drop the cans off at the door step wth a note attached saying

"Aaaaaaight bruv? Ere be some well good juice for yer mota. Givin full beans octane, innit. When U iz done wif da cans, jus bring dem back to dis adress, aight.

    Safe bruv. Wikid! Wikid!"

This is chav's we are talking about, they cant read! Plus they would prob just set fire to my house!

  9. You would have thought!!!!!! Here is a list of all the places that I have asked today and their response:

Reading Waste management (RE3): "No we can’t dispose of it but please don’t pour it down the drain!"

Shell UK: "None of out petrol stations can take it back. Our advice to you would be to go to a dump, don’t tell anyone what it is, pour it into the oil bin and don’t get caught!"

Reading Fire Service: "No sorry, we can’t use it for training as it is too dangerous"

Various garages in Reading: "No sorry, we can only get rid of oil"

The Reading Borough Petroleum Officer: "Sorry, I only licence the storage of petrol. Try and company called cleansing services"

Cleansing Services: "Unfortunately we collect from any business that produces hazardous waste, as a domestic resident you should be able to take to your local waste site f.o.c. If you are a business then we would charge our minimum charge of £320.00 plus £45.00 documentation plus vat."

I think thats everyone. Out of ideas!

  10. .........match...........run........

No but seriously mosy local refuse depots will have facilities for disposing of petrols/oils, take it there......in your mates car

Dont think you could run quick enough! Better off with a flaming arrow from a distance or leave a trail of petrol as a fuse :teeth:

More then happy for you to show me how its done chris, your only down the road! :bangin:

  11. Gone down the council/dump route already. While they can dispose of oil they cannot get rid of petrol.

I have also phone a few garages in reading and they have all said that they can only dispose of oil!

i want to have a fire, but i have been burnt before http://208.65.153.238/watch?v=GeRB1p9PVDY

I am the one filming. I sold the rights of the vid to a company called trutv in america. They used it in one of their shows and gave me $1500!

  12. Here is a strange one.

Around 10 years ago (when there was a fuel scare) i filled two 5 gallon jerry cans with petrol..............and then totally forgot about it!

Now i need to refill the jerry cans for use this summer but i have no idea what to do with the old petrol.

There is no way in hell and i am putting it in my car and as much fun as a fire sounds, i dont think it would be very safe with 10 gallons......

I have been on the phone to reading council who were only able to tell me about the huge fine i would get if i poured it down the drain!

Anyone got any smart ideas of how to get rid of it safely?
