  1. In all honesty guys, I was only mucking about. I know you guys are right. Modifications add very little value to a car (if any). What is interesting though is that if I were presented a s/c zed for the same money as a newer N/A zed, I know which one I would be picking!
  2. oi Alex. Sell me your zed for £8k please!
  3. £2k for the mods?! Probably value of the exhaust setup alone! LOL I presume you drive a stock 350z?
  4. I really hope that was a joke! LOL
  5. I wouldn't be so sure you know. Driven a few skylines and thought the outright power might be more, the response on this zed is amazing!!!!!!
  6. Yeah you may be right about the market for this. After owning and driving this, I could never go back to an N/A zed. It's on a completely different level. Surely this is not a how long is a piece of string question? Everything has a price!
  7. As I keep re-living my skyline GTR dream over and over, I'm pondering whether or not to sell the zed. Brief spec of the car... Engine: - 2003 Black J-Spec ('52 plate), 6spd manual, GT Spec equivalent. Zmanalex provided engine (only around 30K miles on it). Around 70-80k on chassis, including import KM. - 2006 gearbox with 15k miles on it (previous gearbox had 3rd gear synchro issue). - Vortech v3 supercharger (upgraded Si impeller) - CJM Stage 0 Fuel Return system - Walbro 255 Fuel Pump - DW 600cc injectors - Motordyne Plenum Spacer 5/16" - HKS Grade 8 plugs Exhaust: - Inchiba Y-pipe - Berk Decats (Stock cats included too). - 5zigen A-Spec Exhaust Drivetrain: - JWT Clutch and Flywheel - 2006 Gearbox Brakes (stock brembos): - DBA 4000 Discs - Ferodo DS2500 Pads (front) - Brembo rear pads - Motul RBF600 brake fluid - HEL Braided brake lines Electronics: - RSW Pillar Pod with AEM AF/R and Boost gauges. - Uprev Licence for stock ECU. - DVD player and flush mounted screen - Becker Satnav Bodywork and Msc: - Shine Auto front bumper (v2 replica), canards and rear spats. - Tyres: Bridgestone Potenza (fronts), New Federal 595 RS-Rs (rears). Standard Rays. Mapped by Mark @ Abbey with Uprev. Running around 444hub bhp / 380lb/ft. Oil & filter changes every 2 - 3K miles. Many many other nice bits on there. Don't believe in breaking cars so car will go as is. How much you guys reckon car should be listed for (if I decide to sell)?
  8. Buy a JWT, ACT or Exedy. If you're going to keep your car stock, you can even buy an F1 stg 1 clutch which is very cheap on ebay and pretty good. I've used all the above! lol

    Helmet wanted

I have the V2 pro, reasonably priced and good quality: http://www.v2sport.com/
  10. Nah, with the developments of Uprev, don't bother with that timing box or whatever that crap is that comes with the Vortech. Best to buy a tuner kit, save on the money you would get with the turn-key kit and get the most out of the Vortech with solid reliability. PM me if you need any help or advice with anything. Have been there and done that.
  11. Anyone going next Sunday?
  12. The lesson: "If you want something done, DO IT YOURSELF!" Congrats buddy, make a few vids, it'll be nice.
  13. CCI reps are ALWAYS unavailable!!!! ALWAYS!! Out of trying about 50 times, I'd say i got through once!
  14. I take back everything I said. I just spoke with Richard Wass and he sorted me right out!! A*** service, quoted me happy!! Answered all my questions 100%. If anyone wants to get in contact with him, pm me...!
  15. I would prefer to sell as a set buddy.
  16. Me "can I change my car on the policy?" Them "only if it's a two seater car" Me "huh? There are many people that have insured skylines and GT-Rs with you, why does it have to be two seats?" Them "uhh, we only insure the new GT-R, not the old skyline..." Me "I know many people that are insured with you and have a skyline." .... It just went on and on. It just doesn't make sense, that's why I'm annoyed. It's like they were purposely being difficult without having any logic to what they were saying.
  17. No I can't buy that. I'm taking this further with them and speaking to the underwriters about it. To say that you only insure cars participating in motorsport but then also you can drive them on the road does not make any sense! Especially as most of their policies are the opposite of this! I've been with them for a few years so it's not like I'm a completely new customer. If there was a change in terms during that time, I certainly wasn't informed about it and I doubt any of you were as well.
  18. I know some guys here are with CCI. So according to what this lady has just told me, MOST of you chaps policies are not valid because your car is not used PRIMARILY for motorsport. What a load of sh!te. Is Colin from CAT still on this forum? Maybe get his thoughts on this.
  19. I've just called them up to ask if they would insure an Skyline R32 GTR and they said they will not! - And that they only insure newer cars which participate primarily in motorsport! WTF!? - That sounded like bullsh!t too! I'm a current policyholder with them on my s/c zed. This is the first time I've had a run in with them and the service is usually A+. Can anyone shed any light on this?
  20. I really cannot believe this bargain has not been snapped up yet. So it's one last bump before it goes on fleabay... I got my own set installed on my supercharged zed last week and they look and perform amazingly. Already bedded in! OUT WITH THE OLD, IN WITH THE NEW.... FITTED! Discounted 350z-uk price: £399 shipped!!!! (I must be mad!!)
  21. Have you still got the standard gearbox Tony?
  22. LoooooooooooooL I really really hope people are joking here!
