It better be! The amount of blood and arguments I have had over this dam car lol Sooo many wee things I am not happy with, going to take a long time to sort them all to a decent standard. I've been there buddy, trust me.... more then most people on here. Now I can never sell her!

Think I use a 2034mm GATES belt for 3:13 pulley size. You will probably snap, shred and a pop a few belts before you get it right. I certainly did.

Always late to the party. Amazing progress, well done fella! It will all be worth it in the end!

Thing is, it's a 12 year old motor and only a few G away from an R35.... - On the plus side, this car won't depreciate like the '35.

I am very much a boy racer! lol

Sell my zed and buy this? http://www.pistonhea...709-bhp/1094682 I've practically wanted one my whole car life... Please try and put me off!

I got APS, it's fantastic. Doesn't drop all that much due to the design. Oil capacity is up to about 7 litres though which can get a little expensive.

What is the item number please? Would like to have a look. -
I've got pretty much exact setup as you Sam in terms of braking and even s/c setup. I went to lydden hill over the weekend (I think my friends garden is longer then that track! ) - And suffered from severe braking vibration which I need to get checked out. Good to see you're enjoying yourself though, thanks for uploading the vid. Defo need to do something about my exhaust setup. It's way too loud!

I have a general question on this module which I'm wondering if anyone else is having an issue with: Once the ACC circuit is on, you must wait until the mirrors are unfolded before starting the car. If you do not wait for this and start the car then the mirrors do not unfold fully. Does anyone else have this issue or is it just me? (wouldn't be an issue if my folding mirror switch was working with the module ofcourse! )

Hey Wizard. Thanks for the heads up on that link. The stuff he produces looks pretty good. You mentioned that he is excellent. Have you used him before? I also notice that you and the chubby ninja have superchargers. Ohhh that makes me go weak and the knees lol. Anyhow, why a SC instead of TT? I know that the VQ will have a lot less weight to pull in a 240z so it should be a little faster? My research says that the weights are: 240z = 1015KG (With L24 Engine – Cast Iron straight 6) 240z = 970KG (With a VQ35DE – Aluminum based engine that weighs approx 45kg lighter than the L24; apparently) 350z = 1446KG AstroBoy = heavyweight Anyhow, would I really be able to notice the difference? Just imagine adding FI onto the VQ35 in the 240z. Aghhhh. Hello! Yep I know Alan at Solid Fab well. He's done work on my car, my friends cars, my work colleagues car, plus he manufacturers a well known GT-R brands exhaust system as well (won't say who! lol). He's brilliant. Can go back to him any number of times and he'll sort you out...! Went the s/c route because of the stock VQ internals really. A 240z at 970kg with a supercharged VQ would be epic!!!! EVERYONE WOULD NEED TO BOW DOWN!!

Excellent. That's the ARB I just bought. Good stuff..!

Could a 300zx twin turbo engine go into a 350z?!?!!?!
wizard replied to heskiboy-350z's topic in 350Z Modifications
If you decide to go down this route, please do make a build thread, I'd be interested to see it. Was flirting with the idea yesterday, but after spending over £20k in mods and repairs on my car, I think it's time I stopped and got a life! LOL -
How bloody lazy Read the thread! ( post #24 page 2, the page you posted on) *yawn* I know the boring theory, but i was asking what's the point.. not what is it!

This is very nice... It's true dual, what size? 3"

you cheeky bugger you Bennett! That exhaust looks VERY familiar

Wizard also had nos. probably before anyone on here!

What's the point of catch tanks?
-
If you want to keep the zed character and drive, then s/c.... If you want big power, then turbo.... that's pretty much it.

haha just looked at the pic on the laptop and seen the writing .(looking on the iphone i just seen an engine and could barely make out the caddy badge) that would be awesome in a zed. would you need to wear a cowboy had and chaps tho? It should be epic but there could be potential handling issues with the increase of weight, and of course what if things don't go to plan. But with a years worth of saving I really hope this is a viable option. The LS2 was previously my choice of lump, but for a lesser cost I could simply SC the Zed, although that's not an option I have as she's on 74k miles and not as sweat as she once was. Secondly I'm a petrol head and would soon get bored just being SC. So to forge the block plus run the risk of future issues I found through my research the LSA will give me all that I need in one go, no messing, no fuss, no need to forge its all there in one box. In addition I've been out off by the compactness of the SC in the Zed, for me I'd just have a constant fear of issues and not be able to enjoy the car for what it is. Anyway I like to be different. In fact I may even have the engine powdercoated purple!! haha just looked at the pic on the laptop and seen the writing .(looking on the iphone i just seen an engine and could barely make out the caddy badge) that would be awesome in a zed. would you need to wear a cowboy had and chaps tho? Alex will be jealous! LOL

Its to do with the way the BCM operates the door solenoid with no unique clean signal on the unlock command. For lock it sends a clean signal. For unlock it seems to send the same lock command as well as an unlock signal to the solenoid to tell it actually unlock not lock. There is a bit of circuitry in the solenoid module to do this. Its in the first post in this thread. Martin Thanks Martin, I'll have a butchers! Great work btw, I'm loving it!
