Hey guys, wasnt sure where to put this, so hope i put in the right area....ish!! But if your looking tom upgrade your wiperblades cheaply to the new flat style Tescos is the way forward!! If you look in the car maintenance part, in Tesco Extra stores they sell packs of single wipers for about £3.68 each! So i got 3 blades (2 front, one rear) for £12! And no i have nothing to do with the company, just thought id give you all a heads up, bought mine yesterday and fitted them today in mins, and they look good, especially the rear one! Cheers Dan

I will take pics of the emblems asap, but they will prob be coming off very soon anyway As for the wheels they are 19" finichi's i think?? THe brakes i thought were just painted blue? Are they an upgrade then? And the badges? I have no idea, all were on the car when i got it Dan

Yeah i kinda got a headstart, which i was pleased about, was a good find!

Ha ha yeah, im not feeling the 350z thingys on the wing mirrors either, they were on it when i got it unfortunately. Will prob be taking them off very soon, when i think of a safe way to remove them! Hairdryer maybe....... The exhaust is a Japspeed, with the bafflers in! I took them out, and boy its sounds awesome, but also deafening, drove round for 20 mins with the bafflers out, to see what it would be like (as you do), then thought it best to keep the bafflers in, and take them out on special attention seeking occasions, ha ha! Its a shame cos the zorst does look better with them out! As for the interior light prob, yeah i tried both settings and it still didnt work, so im hoping there is a fuse for this, although looking on here, i didnt see anything for it, so looks like, im gonna have to be a contortionist and find out myself! But yeah im really loving it at the mo, she is so nice to drive, and blimey, it gets plenty of attention. I just love the way it feels so solid! Unfortunately in the week that i have had it the clutch has started to slip, typical luck eh! So as i have got more used to driving it, unfortunately, the car isnt responding to my new driving experience that im gaining. Im not too pi**ed off that the clutch is going, just gives me an opportunity to upgrade the clutch, and the flywheel as well, as i have read the 2 go hand in hand. And also gives me peace of mind its been done, and nothing majorly mechanical should go wrong with it in a long time (fingers crossed!) I will try not to drive it too much with a slipping clutch, though it is hard not too! I cant do too much damage can I??? As long as i dont give it too many beans?? Dan

Cheers, i bought it with the intention, that i didnt have to do too much to it, I love the rear leds that i have added to it, and also the front carbon eyebrows. The exhaust i had fitted on friday, and i get a much better V6 rumble than from the stock, she sounds lush now, which is why i bought the car anyway, mostly for the noise. I did take the mufflers out, which do sound awesome though a bit too loud! It already has an air filter fitted, and i gave the engine bay a good clean. The only mods i may have for it now, is a few carbon bits i may add to the skirts and rear spats, and maybe a few carbon bits for the engine to tart that up a bit No real issues with the car yet, though im fearing the clutch is on its way out, so gonna renew the clutch and flywheel soon, as it seems the natural thing to do. Also when im open the door, i notice the courtesy lights do not come on, ie the door lights and the interior lights, im hoping this is just a fuse in the drivers footwell, can anyone confirm this?? Cheers

Burning smell + Heat from passenger front brake
D4XNY replied to prometheus's topic in 350Z Technical
Sounds like a seized caliper mate Had similar thing happen to me in my MR2, to the extent that the friction caused the whole alloy to heat up, very hot! Its just a case of refurbing the caliper, which i managed to do myself, with the help of youtube clips! OR a new caliper... It might be the issue anyway.... -
Why does the left speaker cut out???

Ahhh google, a useful tip, thanks!!

Hmmm I have found a grey area!!

Cheers, to be honest i didnt, and im sure none of you bought the car for fuel economy, just wanted an idea of running costs really. Also does higher octane fuel make much difference to the performance of these cars. I know imports will benefit, as they use higher octane in Japan, but cars for the Uk market, im guessing the ECU is programmed to accept normal unleaded? Its just i have a UK MR2, and didnt notice much difference performance wise, where as the guys who owned the imports did...

Yeah i got told no cambelt? So if it never has to have a cambelt change, is there anything else big it has to have done, or just the routine P1, P2, P1, P3 service etc....

Nahh its cool, i know what its like when you have been on a forum for a long time, and see the same old questions come up time and time again! I sympathise with you! I did read though, and nothing really directly answered my question, just kinda skirted round it...

Another question while im here..... Someone mentioned that 350z engines are French?? Is this true?? They saw it on Top Gear on Dave apparently?!!?
-
Another newbie question! Bet your loving me, ha ha!! But i did use the search button this time, and i even looked on youtube All i can see, is that it looks like another variation of an air intake? Whats so special about it?? Thanks Dan

http://www.pistonheads.co.uk/sales/910908.htm Thats the one Im looking at. I'd like to also point out that this car was on sale about 5 weeks ago for 11995 The new owners girlfriend was made redundant, and hence they are now forced to sell, having had the car barely a month. He welcomes any RAC/AA inspections. However expecting 12495 in my eyes is still a bit steep? Thats where i have to consider some money spent on it, ie, the nismo kit and the alloys. I will haggle with him, but in my eyes, i dont think i should pay anymore than 11k, cos i reckon he paid around 11700 for it myself, seeing as he already let slip that the original owner had the original alloys, but could sell separately if he dropped some money off the price.... Your views?? Dan
