  3. Cheers Chris, thats very helpful
  4. Yeah its an annoying common fault....... Sometimes its so loud (K1 and loud music) ont realise the left has stop working, but a swift thump to the left side and all systems working again......they should put it in the manual! Glad it worked
  5. Oh my god, those wheels are nice, but £20k??? No thanks! Glad you didnt scratch them, good practise for my mine! ha ha
  6. ha ha, good advice lads... Yeah I always disconnect battery when doing electrical work Im just worried about the stereo thats all Besides, looks like I wont need to remove the battery to get to the grommit now anyway, thank god!
  7. I use Demon Shine..... Basically after washing the car, it helps the drying process, by letting the water run off easier... I usually dilute it in a garden sprayer, and after hosing the car down, i spray this on, then towel dry it all off, or go for a quick spin in the car. And thats all I use it for. Yes it contains some protective materials in it, so you could just leave it... However I usually wax or quick detail after anyway to give added protection...
  8. Hi, I done a search, but didnt really find any solid answers so thought I would post up..... I basically need to feed some wire from the engine bay to the cockpit... I've read, and had a look but couldnt see much about a gromit behind the battery with an electric loom going through it......fair enough. To get to it though, I feel as though I have to remove the battery...... Will this bodge up my bose stereo? Will I then need a code, cos I dont have one... And I know about letting the windows down a few inches.... ha ha Any advice or knowledge, greatly appreciated Dan
  9. give the left hand side of the stereo from the passenger footwell a bit of a bang with yer hand.... It usually fixes it for me.......
  10. I love it, I think if you debadged the rear it would look better IMO
  11. Thats disgusting to intimidate a customer like that, who supplied all the parts anyway! Im usually not a fan of like for like, but they need some intimidating themselves! I dont think a company like that deserves to survive amongst all us car modders... on all forums. Our cars are our hobbies in most cases, not just a daily driver, bit something we chuck money at because we enjoy it, for no financial gain, its something we knowingly all do. Just like someone smokes or drinks etc. We get stung enough in taxes, petrol etc etc. But still we thrive, we dont need stuff like this happening and getting us down, hence they are owed their just deserves IMO....
  12. I want to know!! Or should I avoid the Leicestershire area in my Zed????
  13. Ok more updates...... Added stainless steel hex bolts (tenner off ebay) M8x30 and some red annodized washers M10x20mm (tenner for 2 packs of 5) and 15 countersunk M6 bolts and washers....... for various bolts around the engine, also added a bling bling cusco oil catch can..... So now Its pretty much done (just the stickers to remove) ha ha
  14. The video clip is only in 360p?? Why isnt it in 720p?.........
  15. bummer! Im still waiting on my set of 4 from camskill!! They run out of stock, Im waiting very patiently! mine are £600 for 20's Why cant they price tyres like clothes?? Sure my tyres arnt using much more rubber than yours? But yet mine are 200 more and the cheapest I can find.... Just a general query, dont wanna start a mass-debate (now now children) over it, ha ha
  16. Im interested in the under strut double bass box!
  17. I fitted the fidanza flywheel to mine.... Benefits are, because its lighter, it spins quicker, therefore accelerating should be noticeable because the engine does not have to work so hard to spin it. Only downside is cos its lighter, when you take the foot off the gas you notice the deacceleration, because the flywheel has not got enough inertia to keep it moving. Think of a plastic ball (fidanza) and a bowling ball (oem flywheel) with force (acceleration) its easier to push the plastic ball then the bowling ball, therefore quicker, once they are both moving and you remove the force (take foot off the accelerator) the plastic ball slows down much quicker, however the bowling ball has enough momentum to slow down a lot more slowly. (Thats the best way I can describe it??) Hope it makes sense...
  18. I dont see what the prob is?? Maybe hes changed the alloys, and got a spoiler on it or something? He was only pointing out that his was the same but with extras? And extras arnt always a good thing, most people (not on here) prefer the unmodified look. He does not necessarily mean his is better than yours. I have extras on mine, however there are far more unmodified cars here which in my opinion are immaculate, and in my opinion better than mine. The thing is my car is my car, and I love it....... as long as your happy with your car, dont let other people bother you...
  19. I had this very same question when I bought mine The truth is, the manual actually says to put fuel of a higher ron in the car, and only put in normal unleaded if a necessity. The engine is designed to run on higher octane fuel, so therefore thats what I always put in mine. Simples... why buy a sports car, and make it underperform???
  20. Also most tyres will say on the sidewall the maximum pressure, I always use that as a guide........
  21. Yeah, I think common sense prevails here, most tyres are around 30 to 35psi, you just monitor, check for unusual tyre wear, and adjust pressures to suit your driving style, I think 35psi is a good place to start....
  22. Sorry I only just seen this thread..... I too queued up on thurs and got mine too, only took a couple of hours, not too bad at all.... Im such a gadget whore! Anyway I had a 3g 16gb and got the iphone 4 32gb The main differences I can notice is the speed, 5mp camera, hd video recording ( i was considering buying a flip, but dont need to now) The screen is amazing, its like going from SD telly to HD telly. Im now able to classify all my apps and put them into folders of 12, tidies up the menus considerably, and enables you to put more apps on, even the useless ones! Multitasking is a feature I not even used yet, nor have I experienced any probs in reception, but theres always teething probs in the first few months.... I love the glass on both back and front, anti oil too, to stop finger smudges, and very resistant to scratches..... plus i get 16gb of extra memory, so Im very pleased with it!
