No good complaining the Welsh dont give a toss what you or i think of them. I remember a few years back when i opened up the caravan after winter in Porthmadog, they set up a camera van on the good friday (easter break) and welcomed the tourists back who will massively boost the local economy by fining 400 of them (400 x £60 = 24000) on the road to the caravan park at Morfa Bychan! I dont wish to insult the welsh members but i think the local police go slightly doolally after been locked up all winter long with nothing more to do than shag sheep and play tiddlywinks, that once they see the first sign of life after the winter they make up for it by fining every tom, dick and Harry in sight to make up for the shortfall during the winter months! I used to complain massively to them when i used to go there quite a lot but have since sold up.

I wonder how many more of us will be getting a letter soon. Hopefully none of us. However if they are doing people at 35MPH, then quite a few might have strayed around that number F'in shocking if you ask me, that camera had nothing to do with safety as it was on the way up to a national speed limit section of road Luckily i was leading the convoy at that point and was below 30mph at the time due to slow traffic infront of me so would be surprised if anyone got caught at the time. I did quickly relay the message to Colin further down the field just after.

The van was placed right opposite the police station in Corwen right where the speed limit changes back to national speed limit Also it was parked in a "stone alcove" with the back end of the van parked right up against the wall so that you could not see the back of the van and its markings! ****ing sly bastards if you ask me

+1 This will be the first time for any type of funding and Wales is now in its sixth year And got a heavy fine and a ban for his trouble iirc

But surely Max, wales gets all the support and coverage because its our most consistant and biggest annual event? thats been built on a foundation laid by Jacko back in 2006, i came onboard and took over from 2007 and Colin as come to the fore in recent years and we now help each other along with ChrisS to make it what it is today The forum currently as no other similar event at the moment, but hopefully Martin will correct this issue with LakeZ and i really wish him all the best with it and hopefully we will see a return of the hoon too. But please note the Wales meet does not get all the support, the forum as given subsidised tickets to other events based around the country in recent years with money raised through the forum. So in all the forum is not based in Wales, we just happen to have what a lot see as our currently only premier event there which started back in 2006 iirc with a Sunday afternoon ice cream for about 8-9 cars which you were part of to the heady height of 2009 with 60+ cars to the more refined event we have now

Not just Colin Sunday is my baby with a touch of Colin at the end We will all be leaving in one group. Its obvious that as the route goes on we will get broken into smaller groups, but we do have planned re-grouping stops along the route. There is no pressure on anyone on these drives and there should be plenty of time to get to the planned stops. On Sunday i will be leading us to the lunch stop but i will pace it to try and keep most zeds together. Myself and Colin will be holding small grouped driver briefs prior to the drives and more detail will get explained then. Its all good and we have had quite a few years experience of doing these drives now with approx 60 cars back in 2009 on the Sunday, so still quite away to go to see those numbers again
