WOW!- Upgraded the Ground- What a difference!
Beavis replied to live2themaxuk's topic in 350Z General
Yes! Even I did it You can PM Spill for a kit I made my own which are as good as the kit. Obviously not as yours didn't work Obviously yes as i am an electrical engineer. You pay your £60 for them while i make them for nothing as i have all the material to hand I never paid £60 for mine Buy a kit and if it doesn't improve your zed then yes your zed is already ground well. You can't say grounding kits don't work cos your DIY effort didn't And believe you me Sarnie my leads are just as good because i use the same cable and i use proper low oxygen free copper cable and lugs which are properly crimped. 25MM Cable is a hell of a size for grounding. Sound cheap to me Yep they are to me So you bought some wheels out of your divorce fund yet? Stop yanking my chain Sarnie........i have more than enough money but its all tied up, though my shares and investments are I would buy those Advan wheels but i have had no reply yet for shipping Damn lazy Californians.........too busy making porno movies -

You can't say grounding kits don't work cos your DIY effort didn't I did not say that the grounding kit did not work, i said it was car specific, if your zed is already well grounded then it wont make a noticable improvement, but if it is not then i can understand if it does. Its worth doing anyhow if for only peace of mind over the crap Nissan set up. And believe you me Sarnie my leads are just as good because i use the same cable and i use proper low oxygen free copper cable and lugs which are properly crimped. 25MM Cable is a hell of a size for grounding. -

Basically its a bunch of very low resistance cable connected to key points of your engine and chassis to improve your electrical grounding, to basically improve electrical performance in key areas like your throttle body and ecu as the standard earthing connection leaves very little to be desired. http://www.350z-uk.com/forum/viewtopic ... highlight= -

Glad you noticed a difference on yours, but i think that it pot luck if your car is badly earthed or not. I fitted a grounding kit on mine and did not notice a difference on mine, but its nice knowing that it is properly grounded because the standard grounding cable to chassis is rubbish. -
Stunning Jacko Stunning Just a pity that you did not have them for last Sunday
-
Im tempted

Glad you enjoyed the day so much, hope to see you on the next you (old- un's) And apparantly you are right about the noise difference between the two engines, the 296bhp engine is supposed to howl more, though with the Nismo exhaust on mine it really howls Have you checked the line up at Bala video out a few pages back? Your on it too

Yes i agree that at some point we will have to have all the zeds together, if only for the jaw dropping factor but like Chris said it will be on a route that will make it fairly easy to stay together. I would like to see a different route for the next drive out than the one we have used up to yet.
-
Yes i agree that it would be better to have smaller groups. Say for example we had 40 cars, we could have 4 4x10 convoys starting from different places but say arriving at a meeting point like Bala at a set time. You could have a group leaving from Manchester, a group leaving from say the midlands......so on and so on......Then if we move on to somewhere else stagger the same convoys to the next meeting point.

Cheers Beavis / Lomoto. I don't know how long i'll have the zed but if this Scotland run gets organised before september then i could be up for it. It may be my last outing. Whats the story Sinbad? fantastic lookin pipes sinbad........ Thanks Stuey! Well as i mentioned to Digsy in Wales, i may have to sell up to get a house. It seems to be getting harder and harder to get on the market nowadays and i don't want to miss the boat. I'm not sure whether i should give it until september, decemeber or another year. With the current interest rates fluctuating im abit concerned. If i give it another year the sun will be out and i'll want to be out driving it, although it may be easier to sell the car then? Will see, i'm loving the car at the moment especially after the wales drive out. If i do sell up i'll probably get a bike and a car to get me work and back. Lomoto Similar boat to you Sinbad but i had been a home owner since 89 until the end of 2005 when i got divorced, so have the money i made in property banked. But i realise that i need to get back on the property ladder as house prices are becoming ridicoulous and thats in my position. The zed in my case will be staying..........its just really getting to me that some of the houses i have been looking at roughly in the £250,000 bracket are pants........i mean if i am going to spend this type of money i want to be impressed. I must admit i have been hoping for a mini collapse in the housing market, but it as not happened yet. Where are people getting their money from to buy these houses?

Its very early and i am at work and a little bored, So i am thinking about the next drive out....are you? I never went on the first as i was not a member and zedless, but i have been on the last two. I think that everyone that went last Sunday had a great time. Ok there were a few problems with people taking the wrong roads or getting lost, but overall the pics show that we had a great day. Who would be up for the next one? Time of year? Where?.....Same route or something different? So post your ideas up and lets start planning the next. Mods if you feel i have jumped the gun on this then please lock it off. And guys and girls try to keep this on topic The strength of Sundays turn out was proof that our community is going from strength to strength........ So if we want the largest ever meet of zeds in the uk put beyond doubt get your name down and some ideas posted up please. And Jacko i am more than willing to assist in anything required for the next drive out. 1. beavis

I think this shows us that Nissan as lost its way with any new ideas for this car. The GT4 rims are already a few years old........is that the best they can come up with??No new designs for rims? Hope the GT4 rims dont come on the MY07 car.
