  1. It always is if you listen to the weather broadcasts and always a degree or 2 higher than anywhere else on planet earth!!
  2. Looks like you beat me to it nixy!! Just started another thread asking if everyone survived yesterday. Very sorry to hear this.Any idea on how much damage Nixy? Did it enter the car? To be fair Nixy i think you are been a little harsh on yourself, yesterdays rain was totally unique!!
  3. Just wondering did everyone survive yesterdays rainfall? Houses, buisness, and mosty importantly did everyone's zed survive?. Some parts of the UK had a months rainfall in 3 hours.
  4. I got 33mpg once from Newcastle under lyme to Porthmadog
  5. Why is it not up to you? But i yhink it is very far for you. Buxton is in Derbyshire!!
  6. Yep quite a few meets coming up, but remember guys this is not intended to be a biggy. Just an afternoon or an evening meet. We need to get some idea of dates?
  7. And that is an understatement, anymore rain and i will be fitting an outboard to the zed. This is a shite summer
  8. It wont be on the weekend of 21/22 July because of JAE .
  9. Right guys i have been thinking that a mini pub meet would be good, maybe Buxton (The Cat and Fiddle) or Maccelsfield. I have been speaking to Mike and we both agree this would be good and would be central enough for quite a few members. We are thinking either a weekend night or weekend lunchtime would be best with food as not much drinking could be done. Would be great to meet up for an afternoon or evening with hopefully no rain . Anyone interested and anyone with anymore good ideas. I have no idea on a dates yet. 1 beavis 2 M13KYF 3 Lomoto

I had better be careful then with 9600 on the clock!!
  12. You should find plenty of info on here mate about wheels, too much sometimes
  13. My brother went to Goodwood and he went to see the new zed on the Nissan stand and he said he disliked the new orange colour.
  14. Not quite right if you know how to shop, got mine here for £699.30 and a tiny bit of imort duty That would make Adams expensive
  15. Yes he did get the Nismo off someone on here, he beat me to it. But i got one in from the states and have never regretted it.
  16. Should be worn out with the monsoon season we are having.
  17. Quite a lot for 20Hp - exhaust variable valve timing (in addition to intake) - revised cams - revised intake and plenum - new pistons, uprated con bolts - remapping etc etc you forgot those weak piston rings for more oil consumption A couple of guys who have had replacement engines in the states are said to have had a hand built engine with modded pistons and rings over the standard rev-up engine!!Like i said the 51 page thread makes interesting reading.
  18. They are very nice cars, the house is not bad either. No but seriously that is a very nice pic
  19. I totally agree with you Ming, but this country went down the pan along time ago. To be honest i have tried to stop reading about the things that make me rant, because to be quite honest it gets you no where. This sort of thing is now common. My favourite was a few years ago when in my local area if you did not have a TV licence and you owned up you got a £30 discount I was stupid enough to buy one straight away!! But i agree it pays quite literally to be a criminal!! I fancy doing a bank job anyone else interested?? 1 Ming (the insider ) 2 beavis
  20. Very good write up and pics Val but a little worried about the constant references to the ring!!! This is the most worrying `the Ring was open from 2pm till 7.30pm and was predictably extremely busy'
  21. I have a new MY06, bought it in May '07 and I stuck in 2 litres on 2000 miles as the dip stick was on the low level mark - I am sure it needs more as I am now on 2800 miles but I have not had the chance to check as whereI park the car is not level - I can tell you this - if it needs more I will be dropping the car off to the dealer for them to sort out and I wont be taking sh*t from them like the last time (paintwork). Just print out the 51 page thread that beavis and posted and drop it into the Service Managers lap - that should focus his attention I must confess if it were me (which it isn't) and I suspected I had this problem, I'd get onto an oil consumption test by the dealer and I damned well make sure it failed that test I will be monitoring my oil level closely, though to be honest it does not seem to be consuming as much now as it did. Changed to Amsoil at the last service. But will be keeping an eye on the situation in America. But with the situation with the Autocar Zed and this 51 page thread on www.my350z.com there does appear to be something amiss.
  22. Everyday, but in reality i would not buy one at all.
  23. Just spent the morning reading this thread http://www.my350z.com/forum/showthread.php?t=232332 Makes interesting reading.....Nissan are supposed to be working on a fix, maybe a ecm reflash...something to do with the different variable valve timing on the rev-up engine causing a build up of pressure witch causes oil to blow by the inlet/exhaust valves......then something about a problem with the pcv valve....then something about the different pistons in the rev-up engine. One state in America had 27 engine changes!!! Then something about a fix in June and a possible TSB. God knows
