    Might be best to wait for one of the more experienced networking guys to come back online.

    Have you entered admin password all lower case? If you have not changed these, they should not have changed.

    It will reset everything, ideally you need a back up of the settings. Have you changed the password and username? You reset it by putting a paper clip into a small hole at the rear. But be careful this may loose the internet for you if you don't know the router settings. Be prepared to re install the router

    Well i have had 2 netgear routers and they have bothed failed me, one was a total disaster and should never have been put into manufacture. And some of the firmware updates actually made the router have a shorter life. And because of that i will never buy one again.Linksys all the way.

    Yeah get it checked out first stew, mine was for use with cable anyhow. But i will never part with money again on a netgear product.
