Thanks guys. Was really hard coming home tonight to see his lead hanging up in the porch and not hearing his little feet tapping along the floor whilst on his way to greet you. But he had a great life and did not suffer so i am thankful for that

+1 Lexus had a huge problem with the salt on our roads especially with the IS200 alloys which they changed under warranty by the shed load.

He eats random crap at some point, gets an upset stomach, and then dehydrates himself. I'm quietly confident that a night on a drip will have him up and licking everyone in sight again. At least I hope so, hes not even 3yrs old yet, so plenty of youthfulness to fight it off Ahh he will be ok then. Chuck was an old man and in the end old age crept up on him very quickly.

Certainly puts things into perspective Stew. Basically he went downhill very quickly over the past week and was diagnosed with liver failure and was put to sleep by the local vet tonight. We took him home and i have just finished burying him in the garden. He had a good life but even that does not make it easy. Thanks Nixy.

Im am very sad to say Chuckie passed away tonight at 8pm. He was 14 years old. In a word devastated.

Iirc Nissan normally use a mineral oil or they did. A semi-synthetic if its is the correct grade will be fine though many members now supply their own oil for servicing and most will use a fully synthetic like Silkolene Pro-s or Amsoil.
