I normally put all (micro fibres,mitts, pads) my items in one load at 60 degrees and i use a liquid detergent. Never had any problems with anything after.

May not be necessary but i would do it only if the battery had become flat. You can do it, guide here viewtopic.php?f=35&t=89

Sounds like a duff battery to me, if you get a new one or the old one recharged it may well be worth doing an ecu reset too.
