  1. +1 on vista been pants Windows 7 is the only way Tons of info if you google it. http://www.vistaheads.com/forums/micros ... -down.html Time Required: Disabling the Automatic Restart option in Windows Vista usually takes less than 10 minutes Here's How: 1.Click on Start and then Control Panel. Tip: In a hurry? Type system in the search box after clicking Start. Choose System from the list of results and then skip to Step 4. 2.Click on the System and Maintenance link. Note: If you're viewing the Classic View of Control Panel, you won't see this link. Simply double-click on the System icon and proceed to Step 4. 3.Click on the System link. 4.In the task pane on the left, click the Advanced system settings link. 5.Locate the Startup and Recovery area and click on the Settings button. 6.In the Startup and Recovery window, locate and uncheck the check box next to Automatically restart. 7.Click OK in the Startup and Recovery window. 8.Click OK in the System Properties window. 9.You can now close the System window. 10.From now on, when a problem causes a BSOD or another major error that halts the system, the PC will not automatically reboot. Rebooting manually will be necessary. You could try the above to see if that makes a difference, or try a system restore back to a time when it was fine.
  2. Dell's normally have a partition on the hard drive labelled recovery Might also be worth looking in the bios. Some setting relating to the computer starting via the modem or some other automatic start setting. Further info here http://pcsupport.about.com/od/windowsvi ... tvista.htm
  3. More than likely an irish import, like the cars below at my local dealer
  4. NO!! Always remove negative earth lead first, re-attach last. +1 But really i would just get a trickle charger on it and leave it connected to the car. Mines been stored since the beginning of October with its charger fitted like it does every winter and never had any problems.
  5. I cant be arsed to watch anything though after i have recorded it, anyhow cant afford sky plus
  6. More info on that here http://www.led-tvbuyingguide.com/led-vs-plasma.html With or without glasses watching tv annoys me! If i see one more DFS ad my plasma will be in 3d format on the front lawn after i have launched it through the window.
  7. Yes but what model? If it hd ready then it will be cheap . Its full hd you want. And for regarding looking fuzzy half the shops selling them have retards setting them up.
  8. So a plasma is still better than led? I have 2 viera plasma's and I am looking at getting a third for the conservatory we are having built in the new year.I want a 50" Panasonic G20,my dad has this model in his and I'm really impressed with it.He paid £1,400,just found it on amazon for £950. Wayne my main tv in the lounge is also a Panasonic Viera 42" plasma, the three remaining tv's i have dotted around the house are all lcd 32" the latest which arrived for my sons bedroom on Christmas eve which is a Samsung full hd model with freeview hd. But for sport and showing off blacks to best effect you cant beat a plasma
  9. You do know though that an led tv is still actually an lcd? The led part only refers to the backlight used to light the screen and not the screen itself. Hence why they are slimmer than lcd which typically use flourescent lighting
  10. I will be having a meet with my zed later when i get in from work to see that its still under its cover TBH i hate this time of year will be glad when the new year is here and when hopefully brighter days lie ahead.
  11. I still think the Nismo system gives the zed the best sound of all that i have heard over the years. I think the K1 sounds awful imho
  12. Well I suppose the current government has got to do something to appease those that voted them in because up to yet they are just as useless as the last lot that governed the country!
