  1. You need good quality sat cable like Sat 100 iirc. Dont skimp on cheap cable either
  2. +1 Would need at least a 600 watt on a standardish pc if going for a GTX480. Got a 750 watt in mine.
  3. Yes i would go for the better lnb like the technomate or the titanium (single, dual or quad) with the sky mini-dish fitments Much better quality. Its probably looks 3 times bigger Chris i reckon than a standard dish Daryl ignore me i am talking bollox just go with what the others have said
  4. You can get the sky mini dish fitting for use with a better quality lnb. All listed below Sky one's at the top of the page better quality with the fitment lower down Dont forget two types of sky mini-dish adapters too http://www.satellitesuperstore.com/skylnb.htm I never drop below 100% quality or 100% signal in any weather chris when on 28.2 degrees east which is the orbital position for sky and freesat, but my dish is 1 metre in diameter and so is overkill when in that position but it is a full motorised system
  5. And you would be correct it will if you are a cheap skate. But sky dish's and lnb's are generally pish and have an odd fitment compared to the industry standard. And also have a poor noise rating (lower noise rating=better picture) The standard normal fitment is for lnb's is a 40mm clamp fitting for people in the know like me
  6. Are these compatible with HD tv? Yes My one currently looks like this http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Sky-single-LNB-un ... 1888wt_907 Wont fit that i am afraid you would need to change the dish. I dont like these sky dish and lnb set-ups they are not the normal satellite standard fitments. The lnb's probably have a poor (db) noise rating compared to the technomate lnb as well. The second dish down with and lnb of your choice would be a good option and much better quality (Triax TD 64) http://www.satellitesuperstore.com/sky.htm
  7. One of these though would be a massive upgrade from your 8800's . Got a GTX280 myself and have ordered a 480 at this price. Will get to see the benefits of DX11 too.
  8. Are these compatible with HD tv? Yes
  9. If its the standard 40 mm fit dont consider anything else other than one of these. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/TECHNOMATE-TM-2-S ... 53df5baca9
  10. Yes just unsrew the f-connector Does your current lnb have a 40mm collar?
  11. Anyone in the market for a new pc graphics card check this out, these retailed well over £400 last April/May. Blistering card and a Asus one at that. http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showprodu ... ubcat=1750 http://forums.overclockers.co.uk/showth ... t=18235216 And also this now http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showprodu ... ubcat=1810
