Well, parked up in the morning and no sign of another Zed. Then about lunchtime I notice that a GM has parked right next to me. I know the owner, he's a crane driver, but he doesn't tend to drive it to work often. He is also one of the original first owners in the UK, as he was on the UK waiting list and took delivery on the day the Zed was released in the UK.

I was told by a dealer that an indicator of a Zed being thrashed is the build up of stonechips on the front bumper.

Even Chilli Red has left the original lip on.

ooops...my bad. Well I'm sure if existing wiring is ok and the factory connectors were not replaced, I'm sure you can get the right leads to connect up any HU you wish. There are plenty on here that have aftermarket HU's and surely they have more good advice than I can offer. As for the pricing on labour for fitting, just ring round local audio shops, asking never cost anything.

Well at £20 this was a steal. Was sold privately to me from another forum member. It took little time to install, the longest bit of it was me soldering the original grounding cable to it's new o-clip you see in the first pic.

Just my thoughts: Went to my local car audio shop, asked about work on my Zed and if I would retain any steering wheel control with my Bose system. They said I would almost certainly loose them. Then I see srobiens thread about the install of a Pioneer AVIC-F900BT, which is very detailed and very useful (and retains the steering whell controls and works with the Bose system) http://www.350z-uk.com/forum/viewtopic ... highlight= So basically I'd say, if you got a Bose system in your car, you can't go wrong with that guide, just get the appropriate steering wheel control cable for the brand HU you intend to buy.

Varis Carbon bonnet would look superb on your white Zed.

According to the website it does the following: I originally bought the kit to see if it will eliminate a slight whine I get when driving at 80mph in sixth gear. When I either lift off the throttle or accellerate past 80mph, it goes away, so I thought it might help. So far I haven't noticed any of the advertised benefits as I have yet to take it onto the dual carriageway, did notice a slight smoothing in idle tho. I already dismissed any claimed increases, due to our ECUs.
