  1. If your implying beer consumption and driving during or after consumption then I am thoroughly disappointed. This ain't redneck country you know.
  2. AccuMate is your best...errr...mate.... http://www.accumate.co.uk/it010001.htm They also make the OptiMate, which my brother uses for his motorbike, comes with a handy weather proof cable that can be left on the battery for easy connection.
  3. I've noticed one thing since buying the Zed tho....my car cleaning regime can now prolly be classed as "geeky". With my old Honda, all I had was a bucket, sponge and Turtle Wax Car Shampoo with wax and the odd bottle of AG SRP and Armor All Tyre Shine. Now I have a foamlance, drying towels, microfibre cloths, foam applicators, sprayers for detailers and glass cleaners, bulk canisters of SSF and Glasscleaner, dispenser pumps for those bulkcanisters, waxes for car body and wheels, claybars, washmitts and brushes. And what's worse is.....I actually look forward to spending 3 hours cleaning the car each week
  4. Wash mitt man, not brush, how many times Next Wales Run is in Oct, and then again in May I think Bigger numbers in May as quite a few of us are on the Jockland hoon in Sept and cant do both Wales and Scotland. I'm only using the brush to get to the places where the spokes reach the dish, the washmitt won't fit in there. Using this type btw
  5. Pimm, if you remember my LED front Sidelights, then this is where I got mine from. http://stores.shop.ebay.co.uk/Gxx-LED-C ... QQ_armrsZ1 fast delivery and fair prices. LEDs have not failed me yet or had the hissyfit that some get due to bad resistors or connections and end up blinking on/off.
  6. Well, there is a video on their website and it shows they pop the tyre off one side and then mask it off and then go under the visible lip.
  7. only thing that I'd find is missing on them dials is the inset km/h, that the originals have. If you go on a euro trip, then have fun guessing the speeds.
  8. Surely you mean incidents or ocurrences, really hope you didn't have accidents on slip roads. Mind you, I've had the same tbh. My excuse is that most slip roads round here are uphill, so I need the extra accelleration to get me up them. Then you notice your doing a speed on the bad side of legal, lol
  9. So you have an AT Zed? Only commenting cos there is an "AT Check" light on those dials
  10. Very very nice Anubis. Are those the Volk GTS that limiter sold on these very forums? If so, you got an amazing deal on them (slightly jealous here) Don't make the mistake that I did with the Bilberry wheel cleaner tho, if you must use it, then dillute it, 1:5 at least. Otherwise you'll run the risk of eating the anodized coating off the polished lip. Normal car shampoo and a wheel brush should be enough tbh. And then Rimwax or any other wheel wax like FK1000 or Jetseal should give a nice seal/finish.
  11. There are loads on the front bumper, don't you worry...
  12. Very easy to apply, using the applicator supplied, dab it into the the wax and rub onto bodywork. Allow to haze and then rub off with microfibre. If it dries then use some Meguiars Quik Detailer or Last Touch, give it a quick mist and rub off.
  13. Well, then I may be an obsessive then. I wash my Zed at least once a week. The wheels get washed and Rimwaxed too every week. For dust build-ups on the wheels inbetween washes and waxes, I use Meguiars Last Touch in a sprayer and a microfibre to buff.
  14. Yup, the Honda went the weekend before I bought my Volks. Well, between you and me.........I got it for free....but shhhhhh.... Also included a different snow foam, which I bought from i4detailing, which was really nice and thick, thicker than the foam bought from AutoBrite. TBH, after giving my Zed a nice clean and indulging in the ever so soulsoothing waxing, I didn't even mind having the damage to the coating on the wheels. I'm just enjoying ownership at the moment and don't really care about the little annoying things. I think it was only a matter of time before that would have happened anyways, it just happened to me sooner...well...three weeks after buying them....but yeah, would have happened sooner or later tbh. I'm just happy now, no worries...
  15. I'm sorry for my poor choice of words in describing the issue. I hope I didn't cause any worry to anybody. Apologies once again. Mark
  16. Today I washed my car and thought I'd try this new wax I got a few days ago. Meguiars Yellow Wax #26 Quite please with it tbh, never used a hard wax before and was pleased how easy it was to apply and buff off.
  17. Just a quick query. Since you maintain the website for Envy and all, and you recently had hacker trouble, is it possible that your security has gone a little too far? I use FireFox and can access the site, but when I click to view the pics, it blocks me out, even if I try to refresh or re-load. Any tips?
  18. The 160mph is prolly a false reading, due to the larger wheels. Especially since the UK Zeds are limited to 155mph. Welcome btw
  19. Just remember that the engines you are comparing are quite different to each other. I found that driving my Honda, you need to rev the t*ts off it to get anywhere, which with the screaming engine noise will probably give you more sense of urgency. Whereas in the Zed, it's more smoother and unassuming. When in the Zed and driving on a dual carriageway, I bet you had been trundeling along until you happened to glance at the speedo, only to realize you were doing 100mph.
  20. Yup, I have the same exhaust. Now get them bungs out, the Zed is restricted with them in and can cause longterm damage
  21. Great, now I have an image in my head where a tiny toy Zed is driving laps round boobs...
  22. Ahh, so you watched Armageddon last night too... If the world was in such a desperate state that burning fuel is the cause, then let me ask you this: - Why are airplanes still in the sky? - Why are there massive containerships in the sea? - Why isn't F1 banned? - Why in fact isn't any sort of motor racing banned? I know the main reason as to why these things are allowed is because it's all big money business, but if the world really really was in need of change to save it, then surely these things, that are the biggest contributions to fuel consumption, should be banned.
