  1. You guys not read this thread at all? viewtopic.php?f=27&t=19787 It has quite alot of useful info. Sometime you'll need line boosters, sometimes you don't, depends on the headunit entirely. and in regards to the steering wheel control loom: I had the 29-007 one, which didn't work correctly, but then ordered the 29-020 off ICT direct, and it worked straight away. Contact ICT on 01392 829435 Hope this helps
  2. Nope, not at all. I think that to a certain degree, you get too many warnings from the sat nav, just to make sure you make the turn. For instance when on the motorway, it tells you "Keep right in three quarters of a mile" "Keep right in half a mile" "Keep right in quarter of a mile" "In 400 feet, keep right" So you'll have plenty of time and distance to sort yourself out.
  3. If that's for the speedo function on the GPS, then it's only needed for more accurate speed measurement. It should work fine without as the GPS will give you a speed reading already.
  4. I had to order from ICT direct for the steering control loom and it's working with no issues. As for volume, you need to get two line boosters for the Pioneer, they are £9.99 each. join the power leads of the boosters and splice them to the red ACC wire on the Pioneer loom and join the two black wires to the black ground wire on the Pioneer loom. Voilá, full volume.
  5. And were those sources possibly people that sold those relays?
  6. Prolly depends more on the offset whether you will rub or not. If you fill the arches to the edge, then you might rub, you might not, best ask the forum low-riders, hehe
  7. You'll prolly have to get some rear camber arms and bolts and front A-arms for camber adjustment

Good result! Hope they don't try to force you to use one of their approved repairers, but then again, you can tell them it's specialist paint and you only trust JP Auto Finishing with the job.
  9. If you mean bypassing the ability to only watch DVDs while stationary (or any other video for that matter), then all you do is take the Handbrake Signal wire (lime coloured) from the Pioneer loom and ground it to the black ground wire on the same loom. No relay required (well I didn't use one anyways)
  10. Check if the rubber cover for the courtesy light switch in the door shut is sitting properly, if it's not that then do a window reset. Guide should be found using the search button on the top right.
  11. Bought God Of War 3 the other day, not finished it yet, but liking it so far
  12. Seen it too and deffo good quality item, especially because it's a replacement, not a cover for the existing part.
  13. If you mean the two wires that are coming from the cars original harness, then you do nothing with them. I didn't and everything is fine, I think they have a different purpose than audio. By the way, if people are wondering what happens when you fit the aftermarket steering wheel control lead, this is what the buttons end up doing:
  14. Should dig it further so it goes under the decking, then at a button push, decking parts in the middle and a rotating carlift brings up a car Thunderbirds Tracy Island stylee, hehe. Looking good Paul, hope the workshop means that Dreamcustomz will live once again
  15. Yeah, but they have come down in price since. Latest online price I've seen is around the £550 mark. But it does do virtually everything you'd want from a car entertainment system.
  16. I'd personally use Google and read alot. I could have taken my iPhone to a guy, but decided to learn instead and found that it was really easy. Same with the Pioneer HU, with a little forum help and some reading I managed to do it myself too. These people take advantage of peoples lazyness and sell their "skill" at a high price IMO.
  17. With the F900BT you won't need crossovers as it has individual Subwoofer controls and Highpass filter settings built in (which are adjustable). All Ross needs is a decent amp for two pairs of speakers and an amp for the sub (and speakers and sub of course)

Like I said on MSN, it'll polish out, hehe
  19. I think for a half decent setup, Ross should aim for £500 at least, because with heavy rock music, the speakers will need to be able to take some abuse.
  20. hope you didnt scare him now... Guys....you forgotten already that srobrien was the one who wrote the guide on how to install a Pioneer AVIC-F900BT?

Bet you're glad you didn't blend the bumper to the rear wing, hehe
  22. My mate had that rattle and it turned out to be loose heatshields on the OEM Y-pipe, removed them and everything was fine after
  23. +1 on the Bluewater meet thing, then you can pick and choose from a bunch of Zeds
  24. But you forgot the most important of all.......Kylie Minogues Law of Loco-Motion!!!
  25. Yorkshire huh? I know Nixy likes to hand out slaps, but that is taking it too far...
