What I do is press the on button (inner of the 2x working) and to take a pic you press the outer button once. To record video you hold the outer button for a sec instead of just pressing. Not wanting to sound an arse, but I see that you have chosen to mount the slam panel tucked under the bumper. Is there a reason for this, because most slam panels I see have been mounted over the bumper.
