Maybe the plug pins need moving, this is true for the indicator cluster (JDM has no foglight, UK has), but don't know about the taillight itself, sorry

The only worry I would have is this... Ever had the moment when you sat at the lights or were stationary...and then out of nowhere some birdmuck splats onto your windscreen? Imagine you had been just a foot further along and in a convertible....

UK light onto an import will have connection issue as the plugs are different. But AFAIK it's an easy fix. viewtopic.php?p=55864#p55864

Have had the same with my brakes too last couple of days, have since parked up in gear, no worries since -
I had the one with the surplus bits first thinking the same and ended up getting the other one where you have to make two small cuts to remove the middle bar. The finish looks nicer I think.
