Even if it was repaired, would you really trust it's structural integrety? Personally I'd always have this little niggle in the back of my head, since it already has been weakened once.

  5. Short answer: you need to install new mic Long answer: Hiya, I have a UK GT pack Zed also and have also installed an aftermarket double din headunit (HU). Whilst installing said HU, it was said that because the existing handsfree kit could not be connected to the new HU, mainly because you wouldn't be able just to plug the existing mic into the new HU, since it is incorporated into a wiring loom. But since my new HU came with Bluetooth built in and a new mic, it was no real hassle getting it all to work. Tricky bit was finding a location for the new mic and then routing the mic wire back to the HU. Choose the top of the driver side a-pillar as the location and then proceeded to route the wire behind the trim pieces. With a little gentle persuasion most trim panels will come away. All I lifted we're the a pillar trim and the trim beneath it, then routed the wire to the driver footwell and then to the centre console to the HU. Sounds more complicated than it is. Have fun and good luck with your install.

The 3M Di-Noc stuff sticks very well after heat application. You will notice how "soft" it gets with a hairdryer, don't melt it tho, once it cools, it does become quite rigid.
  8. Correction, OEM dual mass flywheel for the Zed is £295, unless you actually go to Nissan, then you will pay £1K ZMANALEX's thread... viewtopic.php?f=157&t=31543

  10. I just wanna look as cool as Nicholas Cage in Gone In Sixty Seconds, when he flicks the folding key out whilst walking up to the Mercedes (No really, I do)
  11. Ferodo DS 2500 pads are a popular alternative to the OEM pads and don't break the bank either
  12. The seller will obviously say it's a typo, he want's to sell the car. I'd ask the DLVA first if it's possible. 9K miles also happens to be the mileage between service intervals, so might be worth asking when and more importantly which service was carried out last.
  13. The second vid is closer to home actually, it's in Germany at VW's Autostadt in Wolfsburg. You can do a tourist ride in it too
  14. To bring this up again... If I bought a Nissan alarm fob from the US like this one eBay Linky Would it be possible to program that to a UK Zed at all? If the answer is yes, then we might have the solution afterall....
  15. Old concept in regards to Japan. They have had these for ages. Visually, I find this cooler tho...
  16. Easy way of finding out how it sounds would be to seperate the back box and then fire up the engine. If you like the sound it makes, then have the extra pipes made up. But don't get carried away....
  17. Fresh Mackerel to be placed inside the pollen filter box.....replace every 3 months
  18. re-trim would be the ultimate solution I guess
  19. Give Kim & Aggy a call Headliner prolly needs a deep clean, if it's removable, could you try a carpet cleaning machine? Clean all other surfaces too, with like Megs APC or something, every little helps I suppose
  20. Doesn't Chilli Red (Sarah) still have some Nismo gear knobs left?
  21. I fancy an Asus Sabertooth X58 motherboard, mainly cos it sounds cool, haha. But it also did very well in a recent Custom PC review and awarded a Premium Grade Award.
