  1. I even took a video of it in action, wonder if it's worth uploading from phone tho. Best wait till tonight after work
  2. I also have it on the passenger side Done the fix while at work. Ran a cable the same way I ran the video feed and just scotchclipped it to the extended power wire for the cam. All working sweet and auto switching. For F900BT owners, I can tell you that the HU does not have to boot up fully fir the cam to work. It will display within 5-6 seconds of start up while the rest of the startup is still going on.
  3. I think that's what I need to do. But since I know where to route the wire it's gonna be easier. Centre console > gear tunnel > tuck under plastics just by the lower edge of cubby door > go behind rear passenger quarter, using the poppers to stop interference with seatbelt > from there follow antenna cable to rear light cluster Simples once you know where to go
  4. I think I did a mini fail... I forgot to tap the "Reverse Camera Signal" (purple) wire from the HU to the reverse light... So now I am manually switching to the cam feed rather than it doing it automatically. (it should switch automatically, right?)
  5. Haven't actually had a chance to check if the lines are accurate, but it surely is good as some sort of indicator
  6. Once installed, don't forget to go into system settings and turn the back camera on. Thought I had wired it wrong until I realised haha. Also thinking of changing to a permanent power source rather than the reversing light, cos then I can use the camera at any time, like while driving forwards and checking out what's behind me.
  7. Yes it does, you basically replace the OEM bulb housing with the camera unit. The opening for the bulb holder was a little tight, but nothing a Dremel can't fix
  8. Added a cheap, yet suprisingly good reversing camera. Got it off eBay for £18 http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/CCD-CAR-REVER ... 0535922547 It replaces one of the numberplate light housings, with the cam moulded into it Fed the cables for video feed and power through the grommet in the centre of the boot bulkhead Took the live off the reversing light Grounded at the main grounding point A voila, all done
  9. To confirm, it is the pale green wire. I just couldn't walk away from a job half done, so got the bits I needed and done it
  10. My rev cam arrived today..... Waiting on you to do wiring first, lol ***EDIT*** Installed cam, fed cable thru grommet and that's where I have stopped. I see you have used the negative on a bare bolt, but did you consider using the earthpoint at the other side of the boot?
  11. Looking good intrested to see how the reversing cam works out, as I have ordered one, yet to arrive, and also have a Pioneer HU
  12. Ok,fair enough,I just thought all modern cars had them...that accounts for a lot of fumes getting inside when following a smoky diesel. Indeed, but then look at the centre console and notice the slot that accepts plastic cartridges filled with a polyester type plastic film with a magnetic coating.
  13. Easiest way to change it is to forget about it, the 350Z does not have a pollen/cabin filter.
  14. Mine will be for sale soon.£425, collection.PM if your interested. Selling the car, so getting the goodies off. ***activates secret vulture mode***
  15. And considering he has porn star for an avatar I reckon he's an expert on the subject. Prolly won't help matters if I say that I'll be giving her some pipe too.... (My old K1)
  16. You could use the search button on the top right, but to make a quick answer, Nissan Bluetooth won't work with aftermarket HU, it needs the OEM HU to work.
  17. I think we'll have a look at your flap on Sunday....
  18. I used 3M DI-NOC Vinyl However, I am considering redoing the whole lot with Hexis Carbon Vinyl.
  19. Didn't smooth mine down as i wanted to be able to reverse it. Been about a year now and it's still on there like white on rice.
  20. Just a good good clean with alcohol so it's dust and grease free to aid adhesion of the vinyl
  21. I also took my dials completely out when I wrapped mine, but rather than usin adhesive, I grabbed a spare bit of dark plastic, my soldering iron and plastic welded the dials back
  22. @ andlid The OP seems to be from the UK, the only person from abroad is bronzes who is merely commenting and not in need of any parts
