  1. As for the back door, some window fitters operate emergency response and board the void with chipboard stuff. And just another thing, if you happen to live in a town that in all it's wisdom has decided it would be a good idea to turn off streetlighting in residential areas as a means of energysaving, please be extra vigilant. It's like the council are rolling out the red carpet for thieves. And it's not like we get any council tax back as a result of the energy saving either. Getting robbed either way it seems
  2. Maybe they were tending to newly arrived suicide bombers...
  3. Yep, but gearbox and diff oil change isn't on the Nissan service schedule at all, its just precautionary. Plus, you will mostly be confined to the Nissan waiting room. Do you trust the dealer to do the work, even with own parts supplied? I mean I'm sure most dealerships won't have the trainee monkey do it, but just in case you are going to a dealer that belongs to the minority. Can you be totally sure? With independants, like Abbey or DMS, you can see the work as it's being done, and depending on how friendly they are, you can even get your own hands dirty if you want to learn (Thanks Andy @ CS who showed me how to do brake pads on Brembos) Another thing would be the thinking from a reversed perspective. Customer comes in with his stuff and wants me to do the work and not use the stuff I have on my own shelf...hmmmm. I wouldn't go to a chinese take away and bring my own steamed rice and tell them to make a fried rice for me (not that I would anyway, just an example of the top of my head)
  4. As long as it doesn't turn out that she's got a gear kn..shifter, I guess it would be ok. I can imagine how much more confusing this ad would be in Thailand tho....
  5. I miss that from my days with the K1. Used to love tunnels and stuff.
  6. I think it should be a chav only sport and then let natural selection take over...
  7. Must be doing alright then, midlife crisis car AND girlfriend, lol
  8. For once not close parking, but idiot parking none the less. Took my mum to the doctors and only to find this in the carpark of the doctors practice. Total lack of courtesy Reported this to the reception desk inside, being a doctors practice, I'm pretty sure that the disabled space is more likely to be used than anywhere else And yes, my Zed has been winter readied CF bonnet off (needs relacquer), Volks off (replaced by Rays with winter rubber)
  9. I've also got the GT Spec CF Strut brace and have no problems using a plenum spacer. Didn't even need to use the supplied strut bar spacers/washers. Oh! Well that changes everything then, thanks for the info
  10. I think what thenoname means it that the strut brace towers on the Cusco are non adjustable and if you raise it with spacers, the angle will alter, even if slightly. the OEM one, which allows for adjustment is probably more suited to the task. this is prolly the main reason why i have stayed away from a plenum spacer because i have the GT Spec CF strut brace, again with no means of adjusting. Don't know whether the non CF GT Spec one would work or the one from Summit. Mind you, the non CF one from GT Spec allows you to seperate the bar from the mounting towers, so maybe thats a yes
  11. Mitz and Andy have a pretty good idea whats fluids are best, just have a chat with them
  12. I guess the sky's the limit really. I'm not an audiophile, but you can spend thousands on a turntable. Just comes down to how fine your hearing is and how deep your pockets are.
  13. Cheers Zman, really appreciate the advice. p.s ill be in touch with you later this week to confirm my order, minus the plugs if thats ok It's only a two minute fix if you know what you are looking for. Saying that, if the Halfords monkeys had known what to look for, this issue wouldn't have appeared in the first place, no?
  14. If you have a quick search thru YouTube for reviews, most agree that the bass and overall sound quality is excellent. I myself find them superb for the money, the A-Jays Four that I have are brilliant, good sound isolation too. Comfortable, mainly where other manufacturers supply you with three earbud sizes, A-Jays supply you with five, so you should be able to make them comfortable for yourself.
  15. I guess as a conoissuer, mbs want's to retain the vinyl sound quality.
  16. Hence why I suggested the A-Jays, because they use the anti tangle flat cable style, just like the way more expensive Monster Beats do. I know the A-Jays Four are designed for the iPhone, but they do a version for non iPhone. A-Jays One+ might be the ones that suit you better, priced at around £40 http://www.jays.se/products/earphones/a ... -plus.html
  17. Plenty of us have a "Whine Kit" sat in the passenger seat......
  18. If the kit fits a DE, i think something just jumped to the top of my wanted list
  19. Works Bell Paddle shift Kit? http://www.z1auto.com/prodmore.asp?mode ... rodid=2835
  20. If you are gonna mod it to a true dual, might aswell do something different, how about replacing the cans with cans from motorbikes?
  21. Check if spare wheel is screwed down tight or any of the tools are loose?
  22. PM R35LEE or PM ZMANALEX, one of them should be able to help you. Failing that PM Husky for all sorts of electrical stuff
  23. Yes, ETC system is also shown in the Top Gear Japan special when Clarkson drives the GTR in the race against the Bullet Train.
