  1. AmyZed's engine cover was sticker bombed.
  2. I've had two JapSpeed exhausts on my Zed so far and not going for "Third time's the charm". Saving up for a proper exhaust. As for fitment..... viewtopic.php?f=35&t=37624&hilit=japspeed+K2
  3. If you like the OEM exhaust, you could seek out an exhaust fitter that could cut the old flange out and replace it. That would prolly be the cheapest option and be reassured, that flange goes on every Zed over time
  4. Temp fix is Talcum powder if it's the belts. If it's the mouse, then leave a piece of cheese next to the Zed overnight, might cure it
  5. I forgot the name, but if coming from Ipswich and staying on the main road, as if you are driving through to Bentwaters, there's this little industrial estate on the right hand side (opposite the big yellow warehouses), just past a set of traffic lights.
  6. Mind you, the OP could make use of the tape deck and do the tape deck hack.
  7. I guess you'd have to make sure the wiring loom connectors were the same or if failing that you can make everything match up, not sure about steering wheel controls tho (if you have them)
  8. It's the Breather Filter for the catch tanks I think I've haven't got one and I've got a Cusco catch tank also? It may be because he is running a TT setup and while the catch cans so "catch" most of the oil out of the vapour, there is still oil returning to the intake manifold if the return pipe is connected back. Which I heard is potentially bad for TT setups as it can cause detonation, hencve breather filters and no return to the intake pipe. So the breather filter may well not be part of the Cusco Catch can at all. Best let OP explain, cos I am only assuming a bunch of stuff that makes sense to me, lol
  9. He opened the door and got in.... (You prolly don't see the whole width of the garage out of shot)
  10. It's the Breather Filter for the catch tanks I think He drove it in.....
  11. Woodbridge? you're about 5 Zed minutes away from me, lol I shall endeavour to drive through Woodbridge more just to make you buy one, haha. I use my Zed as a daily driver, do slightly less weekly miles (Ipswich to Felixstowe and back at least four times a week) The Zed is a comfortable cruiser and eats up miles with ease. For servicing you have some reliable independants within a few miles, Team AFM which are located behind Ipswich Accident Repair Centre. There's a garage in Woodbridge, who's owner has an Azure 350Z. In Colchester we have Jap Specialists GBH Motorsport, who also have a regular customer that services his 350Z there. I've had my Zed for about three years now and have not had any major problems at all.
  12. I mean you could try it out and report your findings. There are some that have stickers on the covers made of vinyl, so maybe it does work, just wouldn't want to say for certain in case it goes wrong
  13. I wouldn't, heat gonna melt it I reckon
  14. Mines lowered and have got slight inner wear and even on both, nowhere as severe as yours tho. Checked for correct tyre pressures?
  15. I have 19"x9.5J on front with +28 offset and running 245/35R19 with no rubbing or clearance issues. On the rear I have 19"x10.5J with +23 offset and running a 275/35R19. Hope this helps
  16. Even if cleared to do so, personally I'd have worries about taking a repaired tyre on track.
  17. If it helps, I have a GTX 470 currently, an EVGA Superclocked HydroCopper version (comes with a waterblock fitted already). Have had no issues with it at all and after having it for more than a year, it still performs quite well. Only gripe I have is that you can only use the hose fittings provided as the threading on the waterblock are not the standard BSP 1/4 type usually used by waterblock manufacturers. In comparison, my friend has a 6850 Eyefinity and is running a triple monitor setup for gaming and it's pretty lush, but perhaps overkill if you only intend to run off one monitor.
  18. Either walk away and trust your gut. Or if there is no reserve hope it stays down on price and get a bargain but expect to fork out for stuff that needs fixing
  19. Just had a look at the test setup and back then (2010) that gear was high end stuff, which tells me that in order to enjoy SLi the way it's intended, the outlay is rather high. And to gain fps that your human eye won't even notice, personally I find that there is little to no value for money with these setups. Again, if you are happy with SLi then fine, just not for me and I find it upsetting that marketing makes you feel like you "need" this as a gamer to play certain games better (as long as it has a SLi profile), and then have new hardware pop up that "blows previous cards away". I know if you were to wait for a definitive card you'd wait forever, thus I usually wait till the newest one comes out and pushes the price down on the previous "top dog".
  20. That's where the hairdryer comes in. I wrapped the roof of my Zed with a friend, took about 90mins. Cost was £45 for vinyl, Raccoon Vinyl Wrappers wanted £120 for the service.
  21. A quick google turned up this review for GTX480 SLI. http://www.techpowerup.com/reviews/NVIDIA/GeForce_GTX_480_SLI/1.html Performance figures for a couple of games Crysis 2560x1600 4xAA single 480 - 19FPS SLI 480 - 36.2FPS Dirt 2 2560x1600 4xAA 16xAF single 480 - 63.1FPS SLI 480 - 116.4FPS I did say it depended on game and resolution - lower res and the second card makes less sense. I game at 2560x1600 with as much eye candy turned on, so SLI is good for me. For multi-monitor set-ups it may also be a good idea to go SLI and you may also get better performance for the cost of an equivalent single card. With regard to your other comment, I've had the 480s now for about a year and a half - they were pricey to start with and the 580 has not offered enough of a improvement - the lure was there but I resisted. So overall I disagree, under the right circumstances SLI is definately not stupid - although it doesn't look like it would suit the OP's requirements. SLi is still stupid and isn't worth the outlay in my opinion. To get those figures you'll have to not only have both cards but a powerful platform to run it from. We are talking best CPU money can buy, best mobo, best RAM, etc. You can't tell me those benchmarks are achievable on an Asrock budget mobo and value versions of the supporting hardware. Bottleneck is always going to be your slowest component no matter which one it is. Be interesting to see what the hardware was in the aforementioned bench test. Just my opinion, if you are happy to run SLi then that's up to you.
  22. I have that CPU, the CPU cooler has a solid reputation, so have all the other parts. Don't know much about the mobo, but Asus is usually alright. When reusing your old HDDs, and it fails to boot up, go into BIOS and check that the SATA is set to IDE rather than AHCI, that's what caused non booting when I upgraded.
  23. Get the plenum polished while you're doing a bay spruce up Oh and someone throw the girl on the far right a burger, she's far too skinny to be healthy
