TCS+ABS+ESP all lit up. The brake lights were actually working fine and when I restarted the car the lights all went out. But they returned shortly after when braking again. Must be these cheap brake light switches. How the hell can a simple switch fail so easily? Is it something I'm doing wrong in fitting it? Will be fitting one of my spares AGAIN and then contacting ZMANALEX for an original Nissan one me thinks

That was a great write-up which brought out a guilty giggle or two

Welcome to the OC The orange you are seeking is called Sunset Orange. This metallic paint has a dual personality. On an overcast day it can appear very disappointing almost as if the car is covered in pollen......and that's when it's CLEAN too! But given a direct light source like a sunny day or under lighting at night and the paint really comes alive I originally ordered an Azure blue zed back in 05 but rang the dealer to change it to Sunset Orange. When it's sunny or under the lights at night I have zero regrets about going for orange. After 16 years I still can stand there just staring at the different shades of orange and gold that glow and bounce off the Zeds curves. Happy hunting and if you follow the forum guides on what to look out for, I'm sure you'll find a cracker

When I saw the cancaveness of those rims from the side I was like. The straight on pics don't do them justice.

Had a service and MOT Friday. The garage stripped and cleaned my brakes as I reported squealing brakes. I've now noticed a single "click" when I brake to a stop. This will not occur again until I brake going in the opposite direction. So I'm guessing it's pad related. I plan on going back but are there any safety issues with using the car until then?

Over the past 16 years I've gone through 2 OEM NISSAN ones and half a dozen generic ones. A couple of the generic ones only lasted a couple of months. Thankfully the last one I fitted is fine So much so I now keep a spare in my boot

On reading the title I thought AHA.....JUST A RESET But with your seat and wheel mods I think you need one of the forum gurus to chime in. The only helpful nugget I can provide is if you get a new clock spring, resist the temptation to twiddle or spin it prior to fitting. When I had mine done the garage said that in the past they'd seen cases where customers had damaged the part like this. Was everything running fine for a while with the new seats and wheel? Anyway, hope it's a straight forward fix for you and would be great to see your seat and wheel choice

Out of the pics I've seen of your zed, that is ranking as one of my favourites. The profile angle. The position of the sun. The balance between the shadows and the brightest reflections. AND this was taken as a rolling shot!

That would be the Nismo N1 Aero Kit that was a factory fit option from the main dealer. Original is a fibreglass whole bumper, skirts, rear spats and spoiler. There were replicas by Shine Autos in the States years ago Not sure about where to source them now

I remember when the 350z was relatively new, alot of people commented on how poor the leather quality was calling it Pleather etc. However, after 16 years daily use and nearly 70k miles, I don't think it's doing bad at all. The actual seat doesn't show any signs of sagging. The bolsters still feel firm and solid. No signs of splitting around any of the gaitors. Apart from a little paint touch up along the bolster bead edge in 2018, all I've done is regularly wipe with Dr Leather Wipes.

Very well sorted zed you have now. Can't believe you've not posted this thread earlier.

With an engine bay that tidy I'd be inclined to check my oil level daily just to admire it

Welcome to the OC You do know that pics of your new zed when it arrives are MANDATORY especially when it's a Nismo

Welcome to the OC Fellow 05 DE owner here. This place is great for solving those little minor gremlins that zeds sometimes get. For example, the Tropicana orange bottles from McDonald's are Kryptonite to our airbag systems. I've lost count of how many times I do a drive through run, out the Tropicana on the passenger seat, brake, it rolls into the footwell then darts under the seat. That's when the fun starts. All it has to do is touch the bleedin wires under the seat and hey presto......airbag systems disabled and light flashing. If it wasn't for the forum I'd have parted with time and money for the dealers to do what literally takes 40 seconds. g5UQIF3Euu0 Many more 5 min fixes that the forum has three up for me. Definitely THE BEST owners club around. I can't go a day without checking in to see what people are upto or a bit of banter
