decided to go ahead with the custom exhaust, went for a single back box with oval tailpipes, looks the part but sounds much quieter than i expected. i did ask for somethin subtle cos i didnt want it to sound like a scooby but i feel i cant even hear the grunt of engine even with an induction kit. is this cos iv been used to it sounding really loud when it was broken? iv been told it sounds fine but im not sure... it does sound good from outside but sounds more refined when im driving it. anyway heres how it looks

i dont have a photographic commentary cos everyone thinks im wierd takin one photo after i wash my car so il just give a quick run through of my detailing progress to date had the car a year almost to the day, to start with the paint was in pretty good nick for a 53 plate car but could have been improved. it all started with a full clay followed by polish with auto glym super resin polish topped off with a coat of meguires tech wax. from then on it was pretty much a quick wash, dry and every few weeks another coat of tech wax. that continued for 8 months or so before getting round to another claying session, super resin polish and more tech wax wot i loved about the tech wax is it really brought out the depth of the azure and gave it a nice glossy shine, tech wax is easy to pretty cheap then i came across meguires quik detailer, which i used between waxes to keep the shine. as i was drying with a microfibre i gave each panel a quick spray with the detailer and the results were great then not long ago my bottle of tech wax finished so after consulting the azure legions on here i decided to buy some dodo juice purple haze wax. was better than the tech wax in some ways, it really brought out the sparkle in the paintwork, and is really easy to buff off. but i felt it lacked the glossy shine that tech wax gave. so i got myself some megs tech wax 2.0, easier to apply than dodo juice but takes a bit more effort to buff off. i love them both in different ways so now everytime i wax i alternate between dodo juice and tech wax and here are the results. my top tip for detailing- enjoy it!! and always do it urself- ur smile always gets that bit wider lol heres another tip- always establish a boundary from 2yr olds who ask to help u clean ur pride and joy! the hose worked for me lol

calipers lookin good craig...but i would say that lol. love the strut cover thats a nice touch, turned out really well. all u need is clear reflectors now (before the full bodykit, spoiler and 22s! lol)

lol u already owe me anyway jay! just remember that when uv got the rest of ur kit on the car lol but credit where credits due, jay helped pick some of the shots. maybe one day ul be a photographer

finally got round to bookin an appt with adam the camera wizard last week, found an interesting location, gave the car a quick wax, sun was shining and the rest was down to adam. only thing is now i have to pick a favourite to put forward for the calender! aint gonna be easy lol big thanks again adam u got talent.

lol i wanted option 3 but i said to myself a while back i was gonna stop spending more money on the car. i lookin for a good excuse from someone to kid myself that i would benefit from the exhaust apart from the noise. its good but prob not worth 300 quid- oh well... u only live once lol. il use rich's excuse that it will last longer. let the modding continue!

fish slap lol good one and lamby dont agree with jay that was a crap analogy! lol wel nobody came up with an actual reason to get a custom exhaust, rich was the only one who tried... so u would think that means its option 2... but... BUT... lucky for u guys today i was in an underground car park with a very low roof... and i was in 2nd gear with this rumbly exhaust... so option 3 it is! custom exhaust here we come! already chosen the pipes but should i go for 2 single boxes or one box? for looks i think one stainless steel exhaust would go well with the spats.

lol i need a better reason than that stew- if someone gives me one good reason to persuade me to get a custom exhaust il do it, but it has to be better than "it makes sense" lol
