Where was that from?? Ive got a couple friends/customers who deal in tyres and they struggle to compete with the internet prices even giving me them for cost!
-
Thanks i just wondered if they were a slightly different tyre as well as the speed rating differnce but just been on Michelin's website and according to the the only 245/45/18 is a 96 Y so obviously a typo on Black cirles maybe ??? Anyway seems a real good price. I guess i'll be a guinepig a order them. I dont mind taking one for the team
-
Wow can anyone give some more information on this... The ones on black circles are 245/45/18 (100) Y Reinforced The ones on TyreTraders are 245/45/18 (96) Y Anyone know if there is much of a difference between them Tyretraders does not mention if they are reinforced or not!

So what do you call yours ?? "my 350/350Zed/Zed/Nissan
Craig782 replied to mick43's topic in 350Z General
Direct question what car you got? A nissan - always best to go understated, then if they know cars they will ask and only those that know cars are worth telling coz anybody else wont appriciate it so it not worth wasting it on them! If the misses asks what car we taking 'The Zed' ..... ofcourse! -
Bumpers never really match metal bodywork nomatter what the colour, a lot of it is to do with bumpers being plastic. The static build up is higher in plastic parts and causes the metallic particles to react in a different way than on steel, hence a `colour` change. Its not really a change in colour but the way the light hits the particles and reflects different shades. Temperature and humidity will also affect colours, mostly lighter metallics, as will air pressure at the gun and someone else painting a different part of the car even with the same paint from the same gun! I think manufacturers will not guarentee a match on plastic parts even though bodyshops are expected to when doing a repair but could be wrong. Remeber also they will be mixing very small amounts of paint so harder to get the exact mix correct although with todays technology it is very close even with the smallest amounts. Saying that you could mix 25 gallons and still not get the right shade. Normally a good painter will pick a the closest variant from a colour chip, spray it out on a card, clear coat it, check for match then maybe tint to suit or try a different variant. If you really look hard at the bumpers to bodywork you will probably notice a slight difference even from factory. So what i got carried away in saying is the trick is to find a really good painter who will just get the best match they can. Good luck buddy

All depends on what you are looking for,a price for,Cash buy, part ex, retail price, private sale etc With the current market it toatally depends on so many things. Cars that have been on the forcourt for more than a few months are probably getting near if not allready loss cars, unless they were bought very well as they have depreciated so much recently. At the end of the day a dealer that is going to stay in business with this current market (in my opionn only ofcourse) is one who is going to recognise that and wants to turn cars quickly and the way of doing this ofcourse is buying right but also selling at a good price for the customer! I think CAP is becoming the more used method of car pricing amoung traders, gives you a more acurate valuation, recognises any factory extras from your reg plate etc, grey import prices etc etc... But the best way to gage it is like mentioned above trawl autotrader and pistonheads etc and you will get a decent idea of what you going to be able to get for your money.
