All the best for getting it sorted for those guys affected Please be rest assured once all the chaos calms down paintless hail repair teams will be setting up all over the place inside body shops etc and this damage will be covered by your comprehensive insurance Hail damage happens all over the world we are just not used to it here, so it will take a little longer to get sorted in the first place but there are plenty of hail repair specialists that are involved in sorting this out that travel the world repairing this damage to cars. Anyone needing help or advise please feel free to give me a call

Fitted mine to roadster today Strip out the boot trim / carpet there is a hole next to a loom entering by the speaker, this will then run under the lining in the roof area. Take off the trim panel next to the door with the seatbelt (14mm bolt for the seatbelt rest is just trim clips) You can easily fish it through from the hole in the boot area through to the area in the cab that will allow the wire to run under the roof liner. (When i was figuring all this out i paused the roof half way through for a couple minutes which should cause no issues but other cars i have worked with need a reset when you do this, make sure to continue the cycle if your putting it down when you pause make sure you continue to put it down after your done .... ) Hope it helps All works a treat

That is nasty I can tell you that, but does not look impossible from that shot, although is going to take a real expericened tech and someone who is not in a hurry that day etc as very easy to walk from stuff like that as is hours of work Can you send me a couple more decent shots of damage at different angles Im no where near you but will be able to tell you if it can possibly be done and may be able to recommend someone even if it is a little drive will be worth it -
Ok not been around for a little while but getting back in the Z seat it seems Sold my 350z last September for a Navara due to an additional Labrador and need of a good towing vehicle (slight difference there but hey life changes) Anyways.... after writing my wife's Abarth 500 off last weekend on way back to Fiat for brakes to be checked under warranty (whole long story there but wont bore you all about that) decided we would like a 370z Roadster to replace it Now then Colour ???????? Trawling the internet as away working at moment in Holland due to the massive Hailstone damage they had recently (trust me you would all cry like babies if it happened to your cars) so trying to find good representatives of colours I have been offered an unbelievable new deal on a Black Rose but im just not sure Could you 370z owners mind showing off your car here with what you feel represents the real life colour the best on any of the colours Please please much appreciated ......

Hey sparky just seen your post Not sure how close you are to Dentrite mentioned above but Spencer who owns the company is a friend of mine and a good technician. I would recommend him definatly for any PDR work even if it meant a little drive maybe, also maybe worth a call as may be able to recommend any painters etc if you have no joy You mentioned is PDR any good or would anyone recommend ? When its on a dent suitable for dent removal and metal is not overstrechted it will (dependent on the companies skill level ofcourse) be restored back to how it was pre accident, i.e. typical parking dents etc afterwards should be flawless ! Make sure you try to get a recommendation if you can though, good luck buddy hope you get it all sorted -
Hey guys sorry not been on for a while but just trying to catch up with things Right 350z rear quarters are a nightmare and almost impossible to access from any point even with absolutely everything stripped down. Whenever this is the case a repair is still possible by 2 methods as mentioned above 1. Glue pulling, this is where we glue a resin tab onto the outside of the car and using a mini lifter or slide hammer actually pull the dent out which will then be tapped into place to restore it back to its original shape. Glue pulling is used by most decent dent guys but there are still some who dont use it or dont get on with it very well so make sure when choosing a dent company you ask the question if they use glue pulling method if required?? 2. Sometimes glue pulling is not advised if the panel has been re-painted or there is damage to the paint ie scratch etc. In this case or if the dent is deep / heavily creased it may be advisable to drill a small hole in a hidden location so the dent can be accessed. When done and used correctly there is nothing wrong with doing this as long as it is sealed and plugged correctly. When you compare a small hole to a bodyshop method of possibly pin pulling, filling, sanding, repainting which can lead to all sorts of issues i know which route i would choose for my own car every single day! Unfortunately there are some guys who will drill a hole before removing trim or attempting glue pulling but this is becoming less common so just check if it is absolutely necessary. Rear quarters on a Z i would say it is highly likely if the dent is not suitable for glue pulling. That dent in the picture i would say glue pullable all day long although i would want to see your paint finish and inspect for any paint damage before glueing it, but please dont think about filling or painting over a small hole in the arch that will be sealed properly and will never be seen. By the way i am major against drilling if at all posible but if needed and done correctly nothing wrong with it at all. Hope that helps, any questions just ask

Why I did I have to move house this weekend hey, looks like some nice rare stuff there, gotta love a real Cobra

I see all sorts of damage every day and its enough to turn you paranoid about doing anything or owning anything nice at all. People just dont seem to give a @*!# anymore... Im sorry if you get caught doing anything you should be made to do some kind of community service, litter picking, road building @10p an hour until its totally paid off and the money should come from this, not some poor sod working hard for a living. (F*&K human rights and all that crap they broke the law and lost them when the crime was committed) If its any compensation I don't believe you need a new roof skin at all, of course its hard to tell from the photos for definite but it looks like the damage to your roof should be able to be fixed by a GOOD Paintless Dent Removal tech no problems. It would get your car repaired and back to you faster and certainly a better end result, the work that goes into a roof skin is quite involved so make sure you choose a reputable bodyshop if it does go down this route. Remember with insurance you can tell them where you want the car repaired not where they tell you....
