Dont furkin rub it in Mr MacZedfest is coming along in August. Lets get some good numbers to that.Right, finally the last one home apart from the joy riders who are also making a holiday out of it I reckon!
OK, my turn to add to the glowing reports of a great weekend despite the UK doing its best to dampen the spirits.
Many thanks to all who organised and made this happen. A new event for the club but my impressions are it was a success. A brilliant turnout on the Friday night considering the weather.
Well done to all involved
Personally a big thanks to all the well wishers for "her indoors" and little Zak, a bit of a rough start for them to the weekend.
I'd like to thank all of you who I met, both for the 1st time, and old faces and renewed friendships. I really appreciate the support over the weekend, and class it as a success for us too!
Best wishes
Tim

About time I did a write up eh Been a little busy but today I thought I'd take some pics of this beauty and put a bit of effort forums wise!
Snow foamed with a new foam I'm trialling.
Wheels cleaned with AS smart wheels, Envy brushes and the trusty EZ detail brush.
Good dwell time on the SSF, helped by the dull Hampshire weather.
Rinsed off, door shuts etc done with G202, washed with Astro shampoo, tbm and a Z sponge.
Not too bad on the clay front.
Paint cleansed with the following combo.
Waxed with a wax from a vintage era, allowed to cure whilst I dressed tyres, polished exhaust tips, glass etc.
Interior hoovered and interior surfaces cleaned and dressed with Dasheen. Interior glass with Glass green.
Buffed off to look like:
Time taken 8.5hrs
Thanks for looking

I do, and I am. Been home a week now just am going back Thursday lol!He gets around the country a fait bit so it may be worth asking. He is just about finished in the Isle of Mann about now. -
Thanks for the recommendation Martin!
If it could be fitted in around the LakeZ weekend yeah I could do it for no extra for travel as I'll be in the area.
Sadly I do have to charge for travel (seen the price of diesel lately??!) as you are a round trip of 489 miles which is over a tank full of diesel to me
If you can manage to be around either before or after LakeZ all it'd cost you would be for the work.
If you need someone local try Nic on 07597 636009 he's based at Lostock Hall or LA to you Tell him I sent you.
Cheers

Hey Chris, yes indeed the do...also have it https://www.envyvaleting.com/products_info.asp?id=240
Its not quite so effective at cleaning as the Brake Duster/Deironizer (as its now called) but leaves behind a nano coating makinf future cleaning a doddle. I tend to clean with Brake duster, then spray clean and coat on after to seal a wheel the FAST way
I'll make sure I bring it to LakeZ with me as they are both garanteed safe for all wheel finishes by Wolf's inc bare metal/polished/anodized etc etc.

Get a product that deals with the fallout and dirt in one guys....

Envy will prob be +3 Martin (the Marton contingent )

You going to be down in Cark chaps?
BTW Tim, its down to the cookies but it appears that internet browsers are saving more info than they should somewhere and I cant work out where. If you delete the cookies, technically it should log you out and reset everything, but it doesnt always appear to work Using the 370z url is a seperate website technically (although it all points to the same place behind the scenes) so the browser resets it all.
Cheers Chris, I'm at Cark til Monday (going up tomorrow) then got a few days in Marton (near Barrow in Furness) to do some top ups for an existing customer. Beers on Sunday night certainly could work eh Martin
Login seems to be working via the 370 route, but the 350 thing is very frustrating. I get to log in, see I have PM etc then booted back to the login screen
-
Braver than me!
IF Liz wants a spruce up Monday btw we can sort that too
-
Martin, fancy a beer/whisky Sunday night btw?!
-
^Hi Chris, still having jip logging in. Just taken me 3 days to read the PM's I've got!
Deleted browsing history, cookies, temp internet files and re-started. Martinmac has just suggested going through 370z and voila, here I am but why the hassles please??

^yup!

Hi Hassan I use a product called Dasheen made by Espuma, spray on wipe off and leaves a nice matt sheen. Looks natural and not all glossy.
-
Either way is good.
I prefer machine as you can get the job done quicker
-
Its a good product but from speaking to Meguiars at their detailing seminars the Tech wax is a more sophisticated product that produces great beading.
-
If this was when I think you did it, I loved the drying "towel" I saw you using
-
^Yeah good work really looks nice but get some tyre dressing and she'll look complete

At last, after 3 years of forum sponsorship I finally got to break my forum cherry. Garry kindly booked me to detail his Zed! Cheers Garry
Garry was booked to be done last year, but rain put pay to that, but we got to do it in the end!
A full inside and out protection detail with Envy Valeting
Wheels cleaned 1st as usual with AS smart wheels and Envy brushes and EZ detail brush. Protected after with Wolfs Clean and coat WF-1NT. Superb stuff
Foamed with Bubbly Jubbly
Then washed with Espuma Astro shampoo and dried off ready for the clay (Chemical Guys blue clay)
Although strictly a protection detail I gave the car a light once over with Megs 205 as I knew it would work wonders on the soft paint.
The wax chosen was SW BOS, seen here baking in the HOT sun!
Time to polish the exhausts with Autosol.
The interior was hoovered, plastics cleaned and dressed with Dasheen, leather was treated to Dr Leather, glass with Crystal green. Tyres with RD50.
Wax was buffed off last to leave her looking like this:
Hope you like it, and if you want to book me be happy to hear from you!
Best wishes

Another archived detail from the camera. This S2000 was bought as a summer toy and needed some Dodo loving.
Wheels cleaned with AS smart wheels and Envy brushes, then cleaned and sealed with Wolfs Chemicals WF-1NT (clean and coat) and makes for a nice quick wheel sealent. Beads nicely too.
Time for some Bubbly Jubbly SSF.
Followed up with Espuma Astro shampoo, TBM and the trusty Z sponge.
Tar remover needed on this one big time.
Paint clayed then cleansed with Dodo Lime Prime, ready for the wax.
The wax was left on for approx 1hr whilst I did the tail pipes, dressed the tyres, hoovered and cleaned the interior, did the glass etc.
Enjoy the afters.....
Cheers
Tim
