  4. This isnit funny anymore. First Octet then now you WTF! I am dreading when I finally hit all my goals as it looks like this prompts selling Anyway it would be nice to see this car stay here as Dazza has kept it sweet and properly modified at the business end. However it will probably be parted out so vultures stay alert. In any case Darren I'm happy you are considering another zed car as it would be a same to loose you to the Laguar brigade
  5. I met someone with a K4 fitted a year ago and to be fair it sounded nice and looked a good fit from the rear. I did not asking any details about overall fit and quality issues but he was happy with it and I was tempted to get it myself but ended up with a miltek system. I have had the K1 and had to make some tweaks to get it fit and it blew out the baffling material a year later making it louder even but other than that the welds held up to trackday abuse. I have the japspeed y pipe for over 3yrs now and it's still intact. My two pence is that, you buy japspeed stuff with your eyes open.
  6. I have an Apex i power cone filter and flange going up for sale if you want the best filter by far and still want to maintain the SRI set up as the pop charger. Pm if interested or wait for the FS thread roulette
  7. Will take reasonable offers on the oem diff (VLSD) and any other item. Need to clear out all left overs. My CF seibon 2007+ bonnet and cusco 1.5way diff will be up for sale too so look out.
  8. I have run 295/30/19 MPS on my zed from almost when I bought it and never had a TC issue. Word of caution: -Depending on your wheel ET, camber. or ride height it will rub!! So requiring arch rolling. - for a DD that's too much tyres and will negatively impact acceleration even though grip will increase but its not needed. - you will experience more tram lining. - the car will be almost undrivable in winter. -I did tell shire all this when he bought the 295 from me - go with 275 and you have the optimum tyre for the zed as a DD. Having FI is a different matter and more tyre is better for traction and you have the power to overcome it. Out of interest how much did you get the tyres for? I have a network of guys I get very good deals myself for the last 5years as I exclusively use only Michelins.
  9. Correct but the cusco can be sold for the right price including the diff housing and half shaft for a plug and play installation. Not in a hurry to sell. I'm taking the zed probably of the road next year as a sole track car and to try my hand in DWYB so would be going for a 2way LSD.
  10. I have upgraded my VLSD to a 1.5way cusco LSD. It still engaged smoothy and has had annual synthetic diff oil change since I got the car. After a curious check inside and full exterior shot blast and high temp paint and upgrade urethane bushes its in very good condition to upgrade a zed with open diff. It's been up for sale at £350 but sale fallen through so it can find a new home for £200 rather than seat in my garage. For an extra £50 I can get it installed locally so you drive away smiling. So anyone considering this feel free to contact me or look at my FS trade for pics.
  11. Can't agree more with you Dblock I did not insinuate the op not go FI but that to look at options available for the platform before making an informed choice. Technical info is not the only thing to be gained in such an endeavor but a general pros and cons view of each route out there. It's very different from buying an OEM fettled FI car
  12. First familiarise yourself with the FI thread and learn a bit more on FI-ing the zed before even looking at kits. Search is your friend.
  13. I think you need to decide which seat(s) you want first as this will determine you choice of mounts. Seats are either side mounted or bottom mounted or have fittings for either. For side mounted seats the buddy club zed specific seat mounts are decent and cheapish as compared to the Bride super low mount. I have had both with my cobra Suzuka pro seats and kept the buddy club. Go to a shop like merlinmotor sports or demon-tweeks where you can try as many seats as you can before you buy. I bought my seat from Autosports NEC after testing quite a few
  14. 0-60 times is not just about power and weight but contact patch and all the factors that can influence it and most importantly gearing! For example the 2009 GTR weighs circa 1.8k tons with 500bhp, four wheel drive and 0-60 under 3secs way quicker than cars with similar power and less weight!! I agree the quoted 0-60 in dispute is low-ish but with the right conditions and the power/torque that car has its well doable!
  15. Get a proper LSD :D I've not checked 0-60 as I'm not interested but the acceleration with the combo of supercharger, lightweight clutch/flywheel, sorted suspension, sticky tyres and the biggest difference a proper 1.5 way LSD is miles better than without. I'm going to do a few passes in Santa pod one of this days to find out the improvements over stock. But it feels between 4.2-4.8secs butt dyno
