Thanks guys. It was about time and I'm still going through 3k pics on photobucket to be able to put up the mod under categories if not it will just be chaotic! Should get complete by tomorrow and post up. Will also keep updating as I know I've missed loads🙀

Finally I've put together my build thread to share my journey with "bumblebee". I have had a very rich and varied drivers car history and between 2001 and 2008 I had owned 3 M3s(e30, e36, e46), Alpina B3.3 conv, e36 328i, 2 TVRs(4.5l V8 cerb LW,Tuscan mk1 S), lotus elise 111R, Bug eye STI with 550bhp, BS 350z coupe. I had got to the point I had to slow down and pick a platform to develop over time to my requirements and keep for longterm. That platform came as the 350z. I had just lost 6k on the lotus buying from brand new after under 8 months of ownership. It was doing my back in so it had to go! I should have got a Sagaris - See their value now! I went to my habitual performance shop to look at a stunning fully modded R34 to replace the lotus and in the end left with the 350z! I was smitten by its looks and the drivers involvement and could spot the potential. Up to that point i'd never seen or heard about a 350z before🙀 The R34 was +£40k but I was deterred by the fact I was buying a complete car and no room to build my own. After under 6months of ownership and testing various limits I got my friendly dealership to source me the ltd edition GT4 in kuro! So the BS coupe was chopped in! My thoughts were if it was going to be a keeper it may as well be special edition and with a bit more power! About the same time I joined the forum here and the US. Best move too! I covered every material I could lay my hands on on both forums and the Internet so I knew what I had to do. Everything mod was planned and staged and at the end I hoped she would end up a powerful, safe, reliable fast road and track GT car capable of under 8mins at the Ring. "Built not bought". With objective set my journey began. I'm not done yet but almost there. I also thought that rather than do a chronological build i'd rather put up pics of specific mod areas as per the list below(eg suspension) and where applicable I will comment, highlight problems or provide rational for doing things in a particular way. I've just ordered 8! It's it enough or too much? PMSL  -
+1 When does it happen? And do you seriously say 300bhp RWD is not powerful? You should think again.😉

Didn't know you had all this planned! Anyway well done. I'm nursing a bad back and would have just been an onlooker. -
Was this mine😜? GLWTS

For the rev up engine(2005 GT4 edition and 2006-2007 cars) the manifold was designed with shorter runners for more power 296 vs 276 but a the expense of low down and peak torque. The solutions for this was from: -Motordyne: MREV2 which is a specifically reprofiled DE lower plenum. Both engine variants require spacers to address the inherent design flaw which slightly starves the front runners of air. - Spacers: Motordyne AAM Blox Wasso H-Dev Skunk 2 racing amongst others Taller upper plenum: Kinetix APS Crawford etc Complete plenum solutions for both cars are: - cosworth - kinetix SSV V2( V1 had poor weldmanship and the runners where designed without Venturi bells for better airflow. All fixed with the V2) I suspect if you reprofile the revup lower manifold it will address the power loss from starving the front runners but you will still have less torque than the DE as this is inherent with shorter runners. I have my GT4 lower plenum going cheap if you want to have a go at modifying it saving yours if it went tits up😉

I love the do luck side skirts but not come accross a good replica yet. Let us know if you find some.
-
Where did you get that from mate? Like the cosworth, Motordyne MREV2 or various spacers in the market they are all proven to make power especially with remap and it comes down to value for money.
-
Agili, I think you need to focus your questions after you have resolved where you want to go with your build because you will not only get more confused but receive uninformed advice. Secondly you need to think hard what you want the car to be; GT or drift or track or fast road eg. The zed is all round a good GT car but to get it to be the others requires specific modifications. Finally and ultimately it comes down to budget. So look at that too. The good thing is whatever route you choose you can get there in stages but only if its clear what path you want to opt for. Overall a built high revving NA car will be exciting but if it power you want then you have to go FI.

My kinetix SSV V2 maybe up for sale soon so watch the FS space. It's powdercoated satin black but polished finish underneath. Nothing nitromors will not remove. Before powdercoat:

+1 Good articles. Read them years ago and had forgotten about them!

I disagree! This general perception that coilovers are better than OEM is flawed. First of all none if us are building a pure race car so coilovers are not a necessity to improve the handling. The factory damping is very good and takes into consideration general comfort/ rude quality across a very wide market so there is some compromise. A slight stiffer spring and drop matched to the dampers can do wonders and that's the quality you get with the likes of eibach. Cheap springs will sag woefully over time and put you worse than you started! Finally the OEM setup is a true coilover at the front and outboard spring at the rear so what are you saying. It's normal racing practice to change the springs depending on track or application/ setup. The like of eibach just sacrifice a bit of comfort for handling while within the OEM damper which is quite good. The real advantage of coilovers or adjustable systems is tunability! And you need to know what you are doing. My zed has no OEM suspension part left and its been a learning curve to get it to do what I want and it's still a compromise👀

RT performance has great fitting kits and ship worldwide all the time and currently have an Xmas discount going on so why not have a look there too?
-
No disrespect to Apex or the Corsa brigade but for an item that critical to handling if only touch the offerings from companies that R&D the product for the given car and also good quality manufacturing not just some generic and cheaply made springs. Eibach, H&R or Tein come to mindðŸ‘

I combed the US thoroughly, all Nissan dealerships and established traders/stores and there us none to be found. Everyone wants it now that its discontinued 🙀 The Tanabe super medallion touring exhaust is the same configuration, sound, better build quality and cheaper👀 so that's an option.
