You are wrong! looks like the same is not the same. I really don't have any issue if indeed it was overpriced but that not the case and If you had read that listing before opening your gob you would noticed the description says "greddy style" and look at the pictures you can see the rough finish and smudged paint suggesting is very much thi are replicas and probably a poor one at that. Further researching you have shown you that only Tarmacsportz sells genuine greddy plugs in the UK AFAIK. I had an ebay one a while ago which snapped and luckily i didnt have to drill it out hence i ordered this from that states. Its the same %&*$ i see with wheel nuts, steering wheels. if its too good to be true it isnt.

Thanks Robbo. You are right about the CS finish and that bugs me too. My mind is telling to upgrade to the Tein super racing and then I'll have full 3way adjustability and EDFC. I will not go for Meister R or any of the like. You get what you pay for. I've had the HKS hypermax RS and too and its cheap crap on finish. The problem with these level of coilovers is the valving is not very good and makes for poor body control. The finish is also not great and they end up rusting or seizing. The Teins are good but KW is on a different level to this respect.

Vlad's Supercharged 350Z - pg20 Banzai Mag Feature
GT4 Zed replied to Vlad's topic in Member Build Projects
Cool it bro! I was not dissing you or the V3. Just talking from an engineering point of view. Yes the v3 makes life easier but a self lubrication is not adequate for heavy use hence its not on any of the vortech's HD range or in fact OEM SC setups. It's a sales angle for those who don't want to get their hands dirty. Anyway the key is a good install and now you have more than ample experience. The v2 is spoken for but I have to keep options open in case it falls through. I'll give you a shout asap👠-
Vlad's Supercharged 350Z - pg20 Banzai Mag Feature
GT4 Zed replied to Vlad's topic in Member Build Projects
Hang in the my Siberian friend! It will come good in the end. Do not believe that rubbish that the v3 is better than the V2 because its not! You just got unlucky and remained unlucky for sometime after the first. There are a few things you could have done differently and I know you've learnt a lot from the experience. Anyway you know my V2 Trim is yours later in the year when I step up to the big league V3 Ti or V7 YSi😜. We need to fix sometime so you can help me instal my gauges. I had a big box of goodies from the US today. Never had a problem buying from my contacts.😇 -
I've got: - Tein monoflex coilovers with EDFC and - KW V3. I got the Teins after sending my KW for an overhaul in Germany as I had a small leak from the rebound nut/screw on the top. This was likely my fault from original installation 3yrs ago when I used an airgun on the nut on top of the damper while fitting the top mount. It was always wet from the start but worked ok until last year I noticed the rebound was slightly off on that side. It was a good thing I read the manual before getting to do the others!! I should remember to RTFM!! Anyway long story short after waiting best part of 6 months it here! (It went AWOL in the KW factory!! ). Fully overhauled and guaranteed for 1 yr. The Teins are not on the same build quality level of the KW but they are more track oriented with an inverted monotube design, 2 way(damping and rebound on the same knob) and linear springs which I've uprated from 10kgs to 12kgs. The other thing is the EDFC which enables you to adjust damping from with the car at the click of a button. I've only used the on Bedford autodrome where it was well damped but that track is smooth. On A/B road or rough motorway its a bit crashy unless set very soft while makes it over-damped and you loose confidence to lean on them The KWs are very good on fast road driving and on the track because of its progressive springs and superior valving characteristic despite being a twin tube design but these springs also make it slightly less consistent for banzai track use. I have tons of experience with them on both fast road and a variety of track including the Ring. There are times when it feels underdamped and you loose connection to the surface and feel for available grip. I can't fault them though as that's not what it's designed to do. The KW clubsports are the upgrade for serious track use. The other superiority over Tein is the fact they are 3 way adjustable separately which means you can set it up perfectly for every road/track condition but its difficult and time taking to get right and the biggest bugbear is that you have to get under the car or remove the rear wheels to get to the compression knob! Need to make a though decision or wait till I get back from the Ring after Wales to decide which coilovers I want to keep! Or sell both and get the KW clubsports or the equivalent Tein super racing while retaining the EDFC. Any track gurus out there who can share their experience of a linear spring setup on aggressive track use will be helpful. The KWs have strong interest so its unlikely ill be advertising it if I decide to sell them but keep eyes out for the Teins as this may go too:)

Nice work Chris! Well put together car. I know what you mean about show hence the stickers to advertise your whares otherwise its perfect👠I guess you running a conservative 250-270hp but that puppy should hit 290-300hp/210-230lbft if pushed. Get a striking wrap on it and it will sell itself I reckon👀 -

Looks like you all had a nice day guys despite the weather. Keep pics and vids coming👠Zhorno hope your damage is not too bad and hopefully you can laugh about it in Wales over some beers with everyone. Racing is a never ending lesson👀. -
Vlad use a tyre calculate to work out what you need. I can tell you off head that a 265/40 and 285/40 will not work and you are unlike to find any tyre of that size in real life.

I know what I would have done with £108 burning a hole in my pocket.......................,.................................. Fill up and head out for some good local roads and enjoy a good hoon😎! I have to do this once a month at least as my zed doesn't get a lot action most weeks(<50mpw)and I notice so much moisture in the oil which promptly disappears after a good seeing toðŸ‘. I would waste time with Terraclean or flushes for that matter. The key to good engine life is: - high quality fuel - high quality oil and frequent changes(6-9k) depending on driving usage. - mechanical sympathy - good balance of mixed driving to keep everything in good condition.

ðŸ‘ðŸ‘ðŸ‘👠Wel deserved tall fella!

I'm not overly convinced with the Ultra Racing replacement's quality either plus it looks smaller. I wonder if Clarke/Tarmac etc would consider a group buy on these, got to be plenty of Zed's out there with W braces in really bad condition by now. Ultra racing have a solid reputation in Oz so I wouldn't be hasty to diss the engineering. That brace only ties the 2 sides of the chassis together to stop flex in the horizontal plane its only as thick it needs to be. The actual OEM brace is not thicker it just looks wider because of the flat section which is probably designed to help smoothen air flow.

Vortech filter SOLD! Can't believe the bonnet lifter have not gone offers

Robbo, its a great exhaust. Lighter than stock, quiet on normal driving but comes alive over 3000-3500rpm. A bit louder and deeper than stock but quieter than the nismo or scorpion. The only comparison is the Miltek. However if you want more noise add decats or HFC.

Sorry to hear about the find but I'm with Docwra on this. If it ain't broke don't fix it. If it was shoddy your crankshaft would have already lunched the bearing, big end shells and more.

+1 Should have added that on my post. We also had the GB off but that was to change the clutch all within that stated time andit sure makes life easy.

It's worth doing and not going to make just 10hp. There is more to it than that. It's it labour intensive but its not 12hrs. I did mine on a ramp with my mechanic friend in under 5 hours. You could do the same on high axles stands with friends if you are mechanically inclined and have tools. There are a few tricks to help it go easier. Remove the Ac compressor, disconnect the steering rack and coolant pipes on driver side. Buy good quality though I would not buy ceramic coated ones because they are usually made of mild steel which is thermally poor material for exhaust and over time can fail. The ceramic coating is also a gimmick and not the real deal like offered by Zircotec. Get stainless steel and heat wrap with good quality thermal wrap. SS has best thermal conductivity and heat resistant. Protect your fuel lines with reflective wrap as you will loose your heat shield. If you really want to keep cost down use the HR/370ztubular equal lenght manifold which will be a perfect fit and have heat shields but also be cheap from breakers. The only kicker is you need to swap you down pipes(decat/cats/HFC) to HR/370 ones as the DE type will not fit. Goodluck

Doesn't Mishimoto sell a 350z specific coolant hose kit for the zed? Why faff around measuring and cutting etc. For what it's worth I big coolant pipes are 34mm when I measured to get water temp sensor adapter. So the either will be ok but I'ld go 35mm
