Welldone chap. Good little gizmo to haveðŸ‘

Let me put it this way, Nissan oil is not special or some kind of snake oil. So far as you get the same specs it willbe ok. As for molyslip or any friction modifier, it the biggest BS that has been going on for ages in the aftermarket circles! In the same lines as octane boosters etc. they may appear to work but really oils have all the additives and specs required to perform the job as R&D by the manufacturer and if it required molyslip they would have recommended it. To out it another way do you know what molyslip is and what the longterm effect is on your gb? I have used either Motul, redline and gulf oils for everything without additives and my zed has seen more track action that most, has been supercharged to 16psi for almost >6k miles and and just hit over 100k miles on the std engine and is still sweet as a nut. Don't follow the trend. Put the right stuff in your car and if you are in doubt speak to oilman or do some research before you leap. I certainly did and must be doing something right. Ok let the flaming begin but I've always want to speak against molyslip and the like.

Drove the M3 today up to Manchester using some back roads to avoid traffic. It was very interesting! Wetroads + DSC off = very lively🙀ðŸ‘ðŸ‘ðŸ‘😜! I have been spoilt with too much grip in my zed with all the suspension mods and had almost forgotten how much fun it could be coming out of corners sideways on demand! The electronic diff and EDC is very capable but it requires full attention when it's wet. The only thing I need is to engineer more feel in the steering which feels too artificial in both extremes. Otherwise I can report that this car is a hoot! It's everything the zed can do but with comfort except for less power/torque, suspension/steering poise and the NVH. Watch this space. I can feel some mods coming.

Oh boy oh boy!!! Now that's what it's all about. Nice one Chris. You are going to have so much fun!!!!!!

I'm about to fully strip bumblebee in preparation for a cage to take here to the next level as a full blown track car. I only plan to leave the dash/central tunnel which I may retrim in alcantara or flock. Removing the putty is a pain I understand. What is the best product or method to use?

Darren-B's 1971 240z Project Pumpkin Major UPDATE P48
GT4 Zed replied to Darren-B's topic in Other Cars
Dazza man! Stop pussy footing with that analogue engine. Here is what I would do😉 -RHD conversion with 350/370 engine/loom/ecu and gearbox. - full strip and nuts bolt restoration to original body and interior. - Lamborghini orancio pearl paint. Re chrome all exterior trims -Seam welding and chassis bracing. - upgrade bushing and suspension components. - upgrade brakes/disc with 350z brembo. -Retrim interior in black leader and alcantara combo. -headlight plastic cover And voila you get a perfect zed. Daily drivable, modern and capableðŸ‘. Purist will be able to see that every upgrade remains true to Nissan's z philosophy. Just my 2p. Someday.........someday !!! -
That's a date then👠Where are you based? We can plan to hook up one weekend when there's time to spare😎

Thanks for the head up but I'm really not going to mod this thing👀. Oh I've been checking on sc for the E92 and spoiled for choice. Easy 620bhp on stock internals!!! Tempting!!!

Pick up the meister yesterday and over the moon! The test drive did not really sell it but I guess when you own it it's very different! It slower than my sc zed and would even be slower when I get close to 700whp with my new engine and bigger SC but it is so competent, effortless and poised in all the situations I have put it in so far. It's relaxing to drive as there is no NVH like in my zed and cabin noise is minimal with just the induction howl and exhaust note to serenade you! The M mode transforms everything and my concerns about the EDC are gone. I can't wait to get it on track now!!! I swear I will not modify it except for, wheel spacers, better pads, dot 5.1 fluids and SS lines. Maybe KW springs if its abit wallowy on track but I don't even know why it shouldn't matter as the zed is getting stripped and caged over winter for full time track work. 🙀 I will take pics later in the weekend. Here with a teaser as I got back home yesterday. I really don't know if I should park it in the driveway and the zed on the communal parking😳. Nice problem to have. Looks like I will have to clear the garage and get the zed in there😎.

Nice one Kyle. We need to hook up and swap cars for a bit. Got the M3 V8 yesterday and very happy with it! I hope I don't regret to getting the M6ðŸ˜

Marzman's Mercedes G-Wagen build UPDATE Wheels fitted pg 6
GT4 Zed replied to marzman's topic in Other Cars
Good luck with this chris but I'm afraid you will struggle with this SWB and engine spec to realize any major value. Subs for updates. -
Nothing wrong with ksports from a functionality point of view. Ive had mine for 5yrs and has never ceased to amaze me how much value for money they were! Its covered about or over 500 Ring laps and numerous uk trackdays and +60k fast road/DD use. I still have the original rear disk and have changed fronts on average every 18months. To put in perspective how good they are is i can do +5 back to back hot laps in the Ring without fade and my only reason to come in is tyres going off with overheating. Similarly i do 6-10laps at bedford GT fade free. Yes the anodizing has faded and the bolts, brake pad retainer have surface corroded but its all there. I got everything blasted and painted easily myself. The other strong point is that ksport pistons never seem to fail! The key is getting the right pad for your application, refresh dot 5.1 fluid after winter and good braking technique. Ive used exclusively performance friction 01 pads until early this year i swapped to pagids RS15 which are similar on track but slight inferior for DD as they require more heat to perform but they are still better than any OEM set up and half price on PF 01. When they die i will go for pagids RS29s which have better endurance. With poor technique you will boil or overheat any brakes setup! This is the biggest issue and often overlooked. TBH the OEM set up with race pads, 5.1 fluid, braided lines and good technique will be up to the job on any track only difference with be heat endurance as they are a smaller heat sink but you can mitigate this by shorter stints on track to allow cooling. The hidden side of BBKs is maintenance cost for consumables. Its about £1k each time you replace disks, fluid and pads excluding labour if you are not mechanically incline. My advice is if you only do track a few times a year then stay OEM and upgrade the weak points.

Fwiw, I have headers, decats on a SC'ed car and there's no rasp.

Nissan 350Z 2007 water bottle and engine coolant bottle needed??

Amazing!!!!!

Thanks for feedback guys! @ekona/ darryl I have my doubts about this too about the EDC and already plan to disable it. Yes yes I said no mods but I will be getting springs and an EDC emulator which are cheap. After that I'll look at pads upgrade and maybe decats, airbox and remap if there's any worthwhile gains. The car will come with 6 month warranty which I'll extend to 1yt then there after will look at what BMW has to offer. I'll keep the service with BMW to keep the residual high and hopefully use it to step to my great GTR itch. I really want to keep it simple with this one.

Kyle mate you are exactly where I was a month ago! I needed a car with 4 seats and a decent boot with low depreciation and the M6 was high on my list. And the porker was out but after doing my homework I decided the M6 maybe fast, luxurious and all but the M3 V8 ticks more boxes and though it cost more than the M6 V10 I was looking at, I think it was the right choice. I'll be picking it up at the end of the month and will report. On the other hand I think the depreciation will be lower on the M6 and for what they are and how generally owns or drive them they will be a better choice over the porker. However if its the dynamics you are after the 911 is a no brainer. One day I hope I can own a GT3 RS. Its one of the purest driving experience I've had on the road or track for a road legal car and up to that point I did rate porsches highly. Yo money up call😎😇

+1 Get a proper wing and sell that max power wannabe😜

More like it👠Just a question Bob. What's the output on those headlights like? Are they Bixenons or halogen? Are the UK compliant? -
Can you expand on this Dan? @ Dazza B you know I trust you big time. @ dowcra................I am your father : lol: : lol: @ SMD I'm not a pimp man and definately would not want to be next to the Laguar barge 😜😜 and by the way the zed is still in the stable and when its revealed will be badass!! More WHP than I'll ever be able to tame👀
