I have the HKS super hybrid filter which is suposed to flow 30% more £36 from sumo power or envy. I aggree the air box is very good but unfortunately i would have to go for a CAI to accomodate my Cusco oil catch can you can have it then Stich.

Steve, I cost a few bob overall but CS got me a healthy discount and most of the cost was offset by the sale of my GT4 wheels and Brembos The Wolfrace are OK and i have Michelin PS2 on them since 2 weeks( after i put on the BBK) . however i have standard rays from my old zed and will match it with Toyo R888 or Michelin PS cups if i can stretch but that's down the pipeline. i need to complete the full suspension upgrade in 2 week As for the detailing, feel free to oblige when i come to see you in wales i've got autosol supersfine in the boot.

Christ Rik the car is lovely ! only saw it before painting and i have to aggree that white is it for this kit. i can see this combined with the K1 shaking up Leicester big time Barx: this is the kit and many others CS supplies to the forum made by Prestige preformance (owned by Rik ) formerly known as UV. It is a great replica kit and you can have it bespoke to your requirements by Graham @ the Prestige bodyshop who is a god with GRP/FRP or CF 3Fiddyz: "You can blend and smooth in the arches but then you have a problem with removing the front bumper if you need to and they can be prone to cracking if not done right... Even if you do it right they can be prone to cracking due to the uk roads". I totally aggree with your veiw but like YHTM said i looks somewhat naff and its worth smoothing out and dealing with the cracks when the come Also aggree with Sarnie that GM/titanium wheels would have been better or even black. But any way that car is a crowd stopper!

As you all know i am well and truly on the slippery slope of turning my zed to a fast road/trackday weapon andfinally got to do fit a BBK. After extensive research/reviews, here and in US. I decided that the K-sport was the one to go for . I had considered a stage 3 upgrade but always wanted stage 4 but was wary about to the costs: Stage 1: replacement pads and disc(front only or front & rear) +/- steel lines +/- RBF eg DBA 4000 0r 4000xs with Ferodo or PF pads (up to 10-20% improvement over Brembo) Stage 2: 2 peice OEM sized disc/pads replacement (front only)eg DBA 5000 or PF + steel lines + RBF( better pedal feel and resistance to boiling) and up 20-30% improvement over Brembo Stage 3:OEM sized 2 piece disc/pad replacement (front and rear) + RBF + steel lines eg Stoptech aerorotors (up to 40-50% over Brembo but better fade resistance Stage 4 (which is the only real option for serious track work:thumbs:) a- front BBK only +/_ uprated OEM sized rear discs and uprated pads b- Front and rear BBK, for the perfect match Cue CS, to whom i am forever indebted to as always. He sourced the kit from K-sport UK at a very competive price and arranged for fitting, all in a day's work! Thank you sir! Also need to mention that CS can now fully cater for any of the stage upgardes This kit is very well engineered, DOT and TUV certified and up there with the best brands for which it shares replacement components/items (AP, Ferodo Mintex and Pagid). For all the info you need then see their website: http://www.ksport.co.uk/products.asp?f=brakes and CS for pricing since i believe he is now a trade representative i can always chip in with any detailed info if required. I chose the 356mm all round kit with the following tech spec: Front - Lightweight 8 piston opposed callipers - 356mm 2 piece floating disc(slotted) with alluminium hats - Carbon steel brackets - Stainless steel lines - K-sport sport pads(?rebranded DS2500) Rear - Lightweight 6 piston opposed callipers - 356mm 2 piece floating disc(slotted) with alluminium hats - Carbon steel brackets - Stainless steel lines - K-sport sport pads(?rebranded DS2500) *All bathed in Motul 660 Dot 5.1 racing brake fluid. To top it all the kit is lighter than OEM Brembo and looks Fitting was a doodle courtesy of Andy and the precision is incredible We had to cut off the front and rear dust covers to accomodate the bigger discs which is the same for any BBK Where do i start to decribe the braking performance? :scare: From the off despite light pedal application I knew this was going to be special Once i completed the bedding procedure and started having a go......all i can say is fook me! The stopping is epic and violent if you stepped on it!(will need racing seats and harness soon me thinks) No snatching, no squeal, no vibration, no dust clouds, no fade, just straight line braking repeatedly:#1: ! The feel and modulation is like OEM except that after repeated application even from triple figures it only feels stronger! I tried a full stop leaving late into a round about and it was like i had been pulled back with all the other cars speeding through despite the fact that i had more than twice their speed I can't begin to imagine what it would feel like if you mate this with race pads like PF01 which is reckonned to be the ultimate combination for this BBK for track work I just can't wait to get to the track but i will resist until i complete suspension work I think this kit is very good value for money and is underated massively! Herewith some pics. I will load more with close ups to show how precise and equal the disc/pads tolerances are all round.

Hi Adrian, It looks possible so long as you keep the rolling radius within 2.5% But also depends on the tyre design, camber, wheel width and ET(including spacers if installed). For example i went up to 275/35/19/ET +35 rear and 245/35/19/ET +25 front and these came with budget nexen tyres, but since i changed to Michelin PS2 the rear tyres catches on the arch on high speed compresions and i think its down to the square shouldered PS2 design since i changed nothing else . You should also bear in mind that you might begin to overwork/heat the steering mechanism with the increased contact patch running such wide tyres and may need to uprate the ATF cooler to a bigger unit. Finally you might also find the feel a bit leaden and slow but the mechanical grip ++! Ultimately it depends if it's show or go you are after but if its the later then i will bite the bullet and stay 275 or at worse 285 rear and 245 max 255 front You may find some very good high performance tyres with +5mm of thread in Ebay for bargain prices Herewith some calculators( the second site ca;lculates actual inner and outer wheel clearance): http://www.alloywheels.com/tyrecalc.asp http://www.1010tires.com/WheelOffsetCalculator.asp

Really lovely pic Mike. The red and blue come alive with the brickwork backdrop. Best pic IMHO If it was a contest of the best looking Zed then Muddy's is the daddy followed by Zedrush's old girl

Hi Steve, Longtime bud. Don't mind trying to trial fit the cover . i'll get the Mag II for Envy then. Would the INvoauto CAI kit fit without removing the NS windscreen washer bottle? i need a CAI to make space for my cusco oil catch otherwise i was very happy with my HKS hybrid filter It seem with the popular makes(AEM, Injen, R-tune),the washer bottle would have to go but not so keen. you would not believe that i only sent the sticker on friday when i saw it lying on my secretary's table in an envelope She has been stressed lately and may have forgotten to post it as i requested on her way home How is it going with you anyway? did your contract come through? or have you been quietly modding your zed away and waiting to surprise us in the next meet Should catch up soon. I will give you a call before unlike last time
-
I really wanted to keep both wash bottles but i would have to lose it and connect the headlight washers in series. Thanks for you input chris

Congratulations Stich Really nice car with tasty mods already. Looks like its been lowered so you need spacers and to colour code the spats and skirts IMO i diffuser will complement the spats and CS and I will be offering these soon to the forum

K1 all the way baby I was reticent about the K1 about being able to live with it daily and this is so with bungs on(reminds me of my Tuscan ) and then when i want to play for limited periods only bungs off

congratulations! i wish i could be in the position to choose between the 370 and the GTR i know which i would have gone for -
Just looked at the pics again and noticed you went for different DBA discs The DBA 5000 are 2 piece(lighter unsprung, dissipate heat faster, Hat will not rust) http://www.z1auto.com/prodmore.asp?mode ... rodid=2312 While the 4000 is 1 piece and only marginally better the OEM disc http://www.z1auto.com/prodmore.asp?mode ... rodid=2313 For ultimate OEM upgrade/performance without going BBK.... and for uniformity and esthetics, i would have gone for these(see link) which are 2 piece all round, slotted or cross drilled for about the same money http://www.z1auto.com/prodmore.asp?mode ... rodid=1804 Anyway its only a belated opinion and the most important is that you are happy with the performance. Make sure you bed it in properly before having a go as this will make all in the difference long run
