  2. Hi Ian, i just sent a pm to adam just now for a map selector but i can get yoursif you choose to sell but i will need your price and decision soon s i can other other stufffrom him It this like what you have?: http://www.turboxs.com/utecremoteswitch.htm Cheers
  3. Hi Mark, most of your questions cannot be answered right now as we peter has not finetuned/dyno tuned my car yet the UTEC piggy i have came off a revup that has almost identical mods to mine bar y-pipe and MREV this was tuned by Peter we just swapped the utec and fired it up and it ran very smooth and pulls well. the dyno figures was just an initial run to see if i made comparable numbers to the previous zed. we also did some live data logging to see where things can be improved and make sure it's all safe especially when i turned the D1 spec controller on everything was fine and there is room for improvement since the original map was on 97 octane full We plan for a full finetune/mapping next monday and all will be revealed. i will cover with Peter some of the points you raised Cheers Bennett
  4. No remote map changer yet but will get one ordered security Yup Map 7 All will be revealed soon Mark, patience. Got the revup Thor racing charges at £100phr. They are a very good bunch and know their stuff. Peter has big plans for the 350z crowd from 2010. Both NA or FI
  5. OMFG, can't believe the mess have caused Test complete and i can fully say the japspeed short shifter (cost £59.99) will be staying on my car I had Husky out tonight and will leave him to express his thoughts I just got him to appreciate how 325FWHP and big brakes/coilies can transform a zed especially if you sprinkle in the D1 controller and a short shifter to the mix It is just soo so reponsive and pulls relentlessly to redline in any gear Needless to say i spent the day at thor racing live mapping and it is SAFE to use the D1 controller with the UTEC piggy back. Before any request for dyno graphs, i will resist until final fine tune on the 30th of Nov
  6. Mods have come through again just what the doctor ordered!
  7. I think we are Ok in terms of tuning i was specifically mentioning that we had not made enough inroads the zed tuning and things were goping to be exciting for us here finding out stuff rather than just because some one accross the pond says so i have not been given any figures so no expectations Just looking for response low down and mid and smooth all the way to the top but from their experience +300FWHP is likely. They being Thor racing in kenilworth - Utec tuners in UK Have you thought of cams? i think that's the only place left for you baby to go in NA guise unless you dare consider looking at strokers which is too much for what you get! Still waiting to hear when i'm getting the gasket..........................heat soak kills
  8. Grounding kits definately work and smoothens out the idle I have an almost new one for sale at £35 ono delivered. It has a clear plastic sheath so you can see the beautiful copper weave beneath and gold connectors
  9. Hi snake man Only god know your plans and it will be revealed in time. i know it will be epic and already excited because i know your style! thanks for keeping me in mind with the bonnet and CAI but it is safe to say as much as i want it the numbers wont crunch ....because of the crunch so i will pass on the bonnet unless we can arrange payment in a few weeks Consider the CAI sold and will see you on saturday
  10. Like this you mean??? viewtopic.php?f=25&t=24431&hilit=dyno+charts Forgot about it Its been cleaned up nicely though. Mods you are the best
  11. Good work Mark and Mark and all at Abbey Thanks for putting up your graphs. Nice figures and very well thought out comparison with dyno figures to boot! surprise it did not make more with manifolds on but as you rightly put it you are happy with the headline and most importantly the responsiveness of the beast in its present state I will see how this compares with My Utec tune with similar mods bar the manifolds! This are exciting times and we are just scrathing at the surface yet, but things will move on very quickly as we get more cars in with different mods and we truly appreciate what works or not rather follow the yanks Mods we need an area just to host graphs and list of mods for quick reference
  12. +1 one this. Not taking sides and i agree it could have been handled better or even the order planned premptively to reduce the lead time However we learn from such situations and i think Mods can devise rules to govern such GB from both the trader and members perspective so as to facilitate things in future.
  13. Short shifter My first impressions are that this kit is very good and well made. I have only tested it for normal driving and a few standing starts working ferociously up the gearbox to double figures so far and its delightful and crisp! Obvoiusly I would need to test it for A/B fast road and track to concluded which is why i got it in the first place Fitting was straightforwards with needing a 10mm and twelve socket and nothing else. The only dampener is to get under the car which is best done on a ramp to disengage the gear stick fro the gear linkage I paid a local garage £20 for use of their ramp and was done in under 45 including fiiting the y-pipe ) The kit contains all what you need and i will post pics on friday to illustrate the fiiting sequence and what goes where The fit is spot on and there is no play or vagueness though it is a bit too notchy but i guess this will go away with use in no time. All gears slot-in precisely with a quick flick even with two finger except for 6th which seems closer to 4th now and reverse is also slightly imprecise but i reckon it is because the OEM spring is a tad thight in the housing of the shortshifter and will free up with use. My Clutch action is largerly unchanged for normal driving and with shifting up the box it's lots of fun keeping up with how quick i am banging the gears in! At 40% reduction in throw it is a massive improvement from OEM and you notice immediately Reminds me of my mates' 997 turbo. This is a cheapish must have mod for the avid fast road or track enthusiast or for the daily driver who seeks sporty feel. Y-pipe Not much to say which this known quantity good buid quality. Good fit. Easy dIY project with axle stands but preferably on a ramp Comes with three new gaskets and complete set of bolts and mated nicely to the K1 and Berk HFC. When i first started the car, everyone in this busy tuning shop took notice the sound is just unbelievable and just improves the quality of the K1 but not any louder on normal driver but one you rev past 3K or downshift a cog or two it is better than a ferrari. i am in love again with my K1 From a performance stand point the midrange seems fuller and eager but it may just be subjective but something has change and it is in a good way. Bring on the dyno
  14. All prices are ono offers as i don't know what the real worth
  15. Can I see a pic of this? If it's what I think it is, consider it sold! don't even start me Get in line mate ...........first dibs after me

  18. Maz Don't now boys! Maz you can do this easy mod yourself. takes under an hour including removing the rear lamp unit, mocrowaving and removing the red reflector and finally fitting the hard part is to get the LED bulb that glows red there is this guy from ebay who does them as a pair from hongkong but it takes over two weeks to come i was lucky Pimm gave me one while waiting for mine so if you want to go ahead and do this i can lend you my sare while you order yours...cost about £11 Paul, i am interested in the smoked strip for the headlight is it easy to fit without messing up the seal and have condensation issues or is it just like warming and openneing the rear lamp unit
  19. desperate times call for desperate measures i reckon things are slowing down beacuse this should have long gone
  20. Daoud, I was thinking the same and will be quite ready to have mine without the supports especially as it has been further reinforced! PS: any decisions on the arms
