  1. Man forget about it and focus on your ability and the limits of your car and you will be fine. i have alway bricked it and touch wood so far. Familiarise your with the track. youtube videos, GT4 games are a good start. get your zed in good shape mechanically and shod with good tyres and good brakes. You don't have to break the bank here. OEM pads/disc with good life will be fine butyour runs will be interupted for allowing them to cool. you should have a look on my BBK post for advice on brakes upgrade stages viewtopic.php?f=59&t=25910 Plan well and get your hotel booked and even liase with other who are going the same time I will go at least for times this summer and seriouisly contemplating a season ticket
  2. To recap what i have now: 1 - 4 X 4 matching sets RE050A (AM9- Astonmartin DB9 spec)- 235/40/R19 275/35/R19 with 6mm of thread for £325 delivered. ](X2 sold)[/[/b]color] This will fit any 19x8-8.5 and 19x9-9.5 wheel and look the same in profile front to back than the 245/35 and 275/35 where the rear wheel profile looks slightly thicker! 2- 1x4 matching set bridgestone Re050A(BMW spec - not RF) 235/40/19 and 275/35/19. with 6mm thread x 1 punture repair on 1 tyre - 320 delivered Will fit wheel as above. 3- x1 pair of matching almost new continental csc 2 225/40/R18 with 7mm of thread - £225 delivered Note: More stock will follow but it will be slow for sometime. i reccommend taking these deals as come as these RE050A are as good a MPS 2 which are hard to get by at this time in matching sets
  3. lucky sod ..............................as usual
  4. what do you mean matey. what is weird?. never seen one before . Had the same on both of my TVRs and fell in love with it! -it mates the zed lines better than the plastic holder -it is legal (letter size and spacing and has the reflective treatment) finally is it different and i like it
  5. You can have two even one if that what you want Even mix and match each side ................just joking. I am trying to get my contact to supply the best deals for the forum as he has for me by providing matching tyres of the same brand! Its also the best way to go at these competitive prices to new! In general: The best thing will be to replace both axles or each axle at a time with the same brand and spec of tyre You can safely replace just 1 tyre but you will need to use the same brand as the other 3 and match the thread depth as close as possible and obvoiusly the same with and profile! After that the next best thing will be to put different brands per axle but there might be some TC over-reactiveness variable levels of grip especially in changing conditions unless both brands have similar compounds, construct and thread pattern. I think the rule is to not too mix asymetrics pattern with symetrics but there are no guarantees:bangin: Anything else will be plain stupid and dangerous eg using 4 different tyres or different dimension of the same tyre or low specced tyres wrt speed and load ratings tyres for the zed. Post or pm for any querries! hopefully i will get a stock list up for full range of 18" and 19"
  6. Wizard, i think this would apply for someone who had thire car already tuned with their particular setup( especially larger injectors) then it would be fine to remove the jack belt a run NA as the ecu has the right scaling for the injectors and even so you would have to be careful. Dave my friend here will be running for the very first time It is also false economy skip the price of a flatbed as a dammage engine will cost more And if you are sneaky you can get your breakdown cover to pick up the tab .
  7. Husky are you saying Nurrish is secretly building a thermonuclear device I'm off to MI6 as i don't want zedders to have a bad name on a more serious note Dave you have been an inspiration (though this was my idea ) and you methodically and patient approach will payoff big time. i will count on your expertise for my project However, i would recommend you or a second party check everything thrice over and also make sure the Utec has a map that will match the setup you have, if not you should not start the car at all but go to Abey or Thor racing on a flat bed so eveything can be rechecked for you dodgey connections or short cuts and finetuned live on the dyno with wideband and Map or MAF My only concern now is the location of the power steering cooler. its not optimal and would be better i their in front of the radiator or lower down in the or at the side of the oil cooler or even across to the right of the FMIC. See you on saturday for the d-day if the final package comes through i can help with checking !
  8. Pips, only 2 sets of tyres left now don't miss out!
  9. Works, very dirty and superficial rust. will give it a clean and a greasing before selling and hopefully put up pics asap!
  10. No chance mate now. will have to wait when he is +13kg for some Recaros . Mamas & papas stung me hard +£600 for the buggy, seats and isofix The seat/base will fit the zed but no chance with buggyme thinks Will test this out when it is warmer. Really think twice before you go for it.......but though it is early days i already think this was the best think i ever did
  11. Macca,Strange you asked .............................................................................. ...........................................................................................................................................Actually he was a day early He's 11 days old and both mum and driver are doing fine Thanks for the all kind words chaps

  15. Dave, As discussed i think you can get Merlin motosport or Viper performance to make a silicon hose for not very muck to look like this and stick a filter on it or better still order the procharger fliter from the US for a hassle free fit would be cheap as chips. i am not a fan of the very long CAi on the Sc as seen on the links Ian kindly shared
  16. Guys, thanks for your patience Its been a long delay but you should appreciate that my contact has been unable to get the ball rolling for personal reasons. While waiting for him to sort himself out i can offer in the first instance x 4 pairs of Bridgestone RE050A AM9 (yes the same that is used on the Aston martins DB9) with 6-7mm of thread all round from old stock for those who have 19s. Prices will be £325 del. Payment by palpal to: bennett_ali@yahoo.com. sizes are: 235/40/R19 front 275/35/R19 rears Hopefully next week or after i will put out a full inventory with other sizes(18 &19s) and different high performance brands. Note: See my first two post on page 1 for all the FAQ you may have about these tyres or in general. i am happy to anwser any other querriesnot covered. 1-A few of the tyres may have a punture repair, however these meet the legal standards. For further safety all tyres will checked and pressure tested before dispatch. 2-I can get a wider variety of sizes if you are willling to have different brands on both axles eg; MPS 2 on rear and Contisport 3 on fronts. The reason for this is that it is so much harder to get the matching front tyres as most RWD cars are kinder to these 3- First PMs with concrete interest get the deals some piccies of previous tyres: 275 x 19 Re050A vs 295 x 19 MPS 2-N1 6mm thread on MPS 7mm thread on Re050A
  17. sorry mate for you loss. you came out unscathed and you have the right attitude Goodluck with your next project but we will be happy if you stay in our fold with either 350Z or 370Z
  18. Ohh Johnny boy Not very good new! hope it's not too bad in the end and repairable at little cost I had my little prang before xmas in my parking lot going about 10-15mph and my repair bill is still running i have got or need the following: - New 19" wolfrace OS passenger alloy wheel - New/used front bumper + prep/painting and fitting - New/used front wheel arch liners - Replacement 245/35/R19 MPS 2 tyre - Repair of my VS V1 CF front lip + prep/paint and fitting And this is lucky because there is no suspension or steering dammage The zed has been parked up since the heavy snow on monday and the 308 is earning its keep now
  19. Some deals left to be had Sensible offers considered
  20. Thanks for all your kind words chaps and chapses i have just email the parking manager now and see what happens the whell will need changing and the VS frontlip is gone ....so gutted because it was an original just about to test out the suspension so will feedback tomorrow with pics if i can manage it! wish me luck
  21. X2 piggybacks ecu going cheap Takers?
  22. Just getting into my Work carpark where the is 90deg left turn up a 5-10% incline to the automatic barriers and as i negotiated the bend and began to climb the hill the car just understeers straight into the high curbs which line both sides of the road Spilt my original CF veilside lip into two unequal halves and also banged the passenger side wheel enough to cause a buckle in the outer polished lip My entry speed was under 10-15mph as you can't go any faster and it all happened with 3secs! i barely turned into the skid and never really hit the brakes properly. Anyway it would not have done much as there is no room to manuoever with both curbs about half a meter or less either sides of the car and when i went out to check the dammage i promptly fell twice on a diabolically slippery tarmac there where two parking attendants standing next to a grit container and did not use any earlier as they felt conditions where oK today. Anyway to cut a long story short i will be taking up the carpark company for not providding appropriate car park fascilities despite as forking £254 yearly And for the record several other cars crashed in the same spot and withinn the car park today All i have to do now is to check for suspension dammage which was not apparent but i will see after i drive home now
  23. well done Scott. i am still up for dynoing one of these for a small discount mate I will be picking one of these up but this is such a bad time when i am keeping cash on the side for a special something for the zed i wiil call you to work out something PS: Do you have pics of the interior of finished item? i remember the inner columns where going to be designed better later after adding makeshift ones on the prototype
