Hey Beavis what up with the almost empty tank! ...............and AC on!!! Have you just done 16K miles only or is it my eye sight failing me Because it will all make sense that you are not feeding the beast enough RON 99 hence the low fuel gauge and mileage reading .,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,...shame Very good photo shoot . I like this one too

i know we have been on the phone with Dave about this but i think it is worth posting up in defence of Thor and the UTEC and just to keep thigs in perspective as i know there are a few SC projects in the pipeline! First of all i also have a UTEC that was sourced from the US and was tuned with NA mods by Thorx 2 (Peter) and made 325FHWP on a previous zed and about the same on mine if you use the same tranny loss correction!! So even though Ian had a problem with his does not mean that there is an imcompatibility issue! Secondly, i have to applaud my mate Nurrish who for the most part single-handedly installed his Vortech kit with all the gubbins it entails and there has been a steep learning curve and mistakes, oversights and short cuts are bound to happen like it or not in some areas:scare: Case in point with the fuelling issues! I think Dave will put his hand up and agree that he was responsible for an improper install that could have lead or has led to a small disaster! We are all wishing him well and offering advice/solutions but i think this need to be a methodical trouble shoot rather than a witch hunt The issue is that the car has misfire and as such Peter at Thor was not happy to put the car under load on the dyno for mapping in case there was a sinister issue behind all this. This reasoning is correct a especially as the car had ran very very lean for a bit with a posibility of damage to the cylinder, piston/piston rings, head gaskets, plugs or valves etc:scare: So the right thing to do is to check/correct these thing first. It is essential to ensure that there is to loss of compression issues causing the misfire Personally i think it should start with getting 1 step colder plugs since the car will be making 10-13psi boost, followed by a full compression test and maybe a flow test for the injectors if the compression ids normal(i pray)considering they are used items! There are other issues i noticed on the car like the PCV hose which Dave is just venting in the atmoshere with a filter rather than re-plumbing into the manifold (or via an oil catch ) to maintain suction pressures within the crank. The same goes for belts which need to be adjusted to make sure they are properly set/timed! There are other considerations such as air leaks and electrical shorts especialy as all the new sensors/gauges etc had to be installed, leaking or improper hose fittings/conectors which need checkingand sorting out just to ensure general reliability. It must be hard for Dave to see all this given the time/money he has spent getting this far but if all this steps are not taken and things go wrong it will be far more costly I have been closely involved with this project and it has openned my eyes, as i will be going this route myself and i really want this to work and turn out really well for Dave who is a smashing chap and also that we can all learn from his mistakes. So please lets support him, be objective and keep the blames/nonfacts/heresay in the back burner as it helps no one Personally i feel the plugs /injectors might be the prob (the injectors should be able to clear up themselves with the high fuel pressure involed) if just dirty however a compression test is always a good idea before FI just for peace of mind. Just my 2p worth .

James, at the end of the day the choice is yours but i think the smooth out badge is really different and wins my vote or the smoothed out lines, badge and bonett is even more daring and you can continue this with the skirts and rear badge and 350z emblem In anycase keep the mouth painted black and and grill untouched and finish it with a racing toe hook i am not a fan of the splash guards so i will advocate losing that and you! then next you should carbon wrap the top of the rear spoiler, the wing mirrors and the bonnet to tie the bits in carbon together. Finally i would PC those lovely wheels either black, rays bronze or anthracite to tie everything up and make it really edgy. Should i continue.................................................

Anyone please tell me how to change the power steering fluid. I can't seem to find a drainage or bleed point while underneath the zed most of today sorting my A camber arms and adjusting the suspension There is no DIY guide in the service manual or 350 z tech wiki and i wouldn't want to create and air lock by going at it gong-hoo stylee!! cheers

Must admit they are very cheap!! I have these since mid last year and I'm very pleased with them. They used to cost just over £600 new so this is a massive discount. They look very nice with a deep dish and certainly more expensive! On the negative they curb easily and i suspect that they bend easily as with most large non-forged alloy wheels if you hit racetrack curbs or potholes at high speed which happened to me several times The wheel required several weights to balance out the buckled areas but was structurally ok until i finished it off in December after skidding on ice and wrecked it. The other thing which is noticeable is swirl marks on the polished lip if you are not meticulous when cleaning them however these are very superficial and should polish out easily with autosol but i really am not bothered about having an immaculate/showroom zed I will pick up a front and a rear sets for spares

What are you playing at Ian? you got this already mate

Just to let anyone who is still waiting for their tyres as of last week, it will be with them on Thurday, latest friday as there was a combination of courier dissapointment and mixups at the wharehouse. Accept full apologies for any delays from the me and the supplier. However, he still advises that orders be place well in advance since as opposed to other of his clients/customers he has to put time aside to hand-pick the tyres for the forum as i have an stressed on the high standards we expect !

Dave, you are crazy dude!!!! The poll is crazy too . Brakes: i aggree with Ian . your have brembo with DBA's disk which is a 2 piece setup so you are fine. i will just go up with performance friction 01 pads(the best) or DS 2500 all round and uprate your brake fliud with a dot 5.1 fluid! With judicious and effectitive use of brakes with allowance for cooling your setup will be adequate in most trackdays The BBK would only serve you if you intend on lapping miles at a time on trackdays or competitive racing with lots of braking required. Paint: only if it is mate black however i think a sleeper would be better so just paint the white bonnett or you can have mine since i will be getting the 2007 bulgy one. Wheels: i would keep the same sleeper tone and gets 18" Rays and paint them gloss black Tyres: you should go plus sizing both front and rear with the 18" rays for extra contact patch. I can sort you out with a set of 245(front) and 265(rear) in either MPS 2 or re050 or pirelli p zero Other: for the rest i will save up wisely in case something gives or towards forged low compression pistons, connecting rods and even cams so you can run big boost/power safely! Dream on Romeo.........................i will just put money in the side and the only other upgrade apart from above will be a new clutch flywheel combo. Sex Change: save your cash: where is the fun It will never work so far as a performance car is involved

New Stock in Make your orders quick before you're late

Welcome Nice car, good deal and good idea with the wheels +1000 for pics
-
Will be willing to part with this kit in excellent condition consisting of a: - center console - gear surround - door handle surround - speed cluster surround Will need your trim in exchange. as though the kit is most attached by double sided tape the Cf is quite thin and could be dammaged easily. swap takes less than 30mins Note: this will not fit post 2007 cars or 2006 face lift models. i would prefer 2004 car swap as my interior trim is black rather than grey/black as in 2002-2003. Sensible offer clenches the deal. Pics: Only real blemishish a small crack which can be easily repaired and lacquered

Hi zedders, I am struggling to keep up with the large numbers of pms regarding these tyres so it will be preferable to deal with orders or querries over the phone (07764221057)as it means i can answer all questions and then interested parties could proceed with choosing tyres and sending payments. I would outline the deal once more: - Ultra high performance used tyres from Germany mostly from Porsche and BMW dealership networks. - Tyres in good condition with little or no cosmetic defect and usually 6mm (closely matched on all sets/axle )or more thread depth.(Never less than 5mm). some may occasionally have a puncture that would have been professionally repaired by above regulatory standards and are pressure-tested before dispatch. - Main brand are Bridgestone RE050A( BMW and aston martin spec) Michelin pilot sports 2(Porsche spec) Continental contisport(Porsche/BMW spec) Dunlop Sportmaxx(Audi spec) and recently Pirelli P zero(Nero) in 18" - 20" and most common sizes - Stock is always changing as my contact goes through 500 tyres a month to his main customers which are dealerships!!! - It goes without saying that he will cannot hold tyres for us unless he has your "greens"! so please plan ahead and pay for your tyres as you have the best chance to get your requirements asap! - Remember, a set of four is always more competitively priced than a pair or single tyre so try to take advantage of this. if ordering a single tyre please specify which thread depth you need so it matches the other side of the axle. - It will not always be possible to give you specific details of your specific order eg exact thread depth and the presence or abscence of puncture repair but i will try to get that info to you is possible, but the important bit to bare in mind is that the depth will never be less than 5mm and punctures if present are repaired above standards. - Finally all payments will be by paypal to: bennett_ali@yahoo.com as personal payment or by direct transfer to my account if you donot have paypal. please donot make any comments on paypal as i have already ran into trouble( They thought i might be raising cash for terrorism ) - Just pm me with your details after you have paypalled(name address, sizes and amount paid) and i will contact you with details of dispatch as soon as i get them. - If for any reason you are not happy with your purchase you will have the choice to send it back for a refund(minus return post charges and paypal refund charge) or for a different set to be sent to you in which case you will pay only the return post. - In case you exact sizes/brand are not available at the time we will suggest alternative or hold until these come in or refund you money (minus paypal refund charge). - Finally, you are buying a product which as been prepared to provide you with good performance and safety but as with any used product even new tyres we cannot be held responsible for any issues as a result of misuse, improper use eg motor racing, incorrect presures or any failures as a result of non-professional fitting etc. - I will keep updating this and try to post up with every new stock arrival! cheers Bennett

Second to that.............inspired choice with the carbon wrapping Colin I think wrapping the rear spoiler and mirrors will complement the look and you can go one step further with the roof I had a problem with the lack of sound track too when i tested out one last year, so this is a very essential mod

Welldone Dave i am happy i was the only one brave enough to be there at the first start up including our american friends with the greddy TT zed i am glad you have found the potential problem point in the fuel pump assy Everything otherwise looks good and the sound from the SC and the K1 was ace and not too loud ask expected but i am sure this will change under loading i hopefully will see you tomoro' mate for round number two

Will sort you out anytime Ben just drop by on your lunch brake with your requirements i have been planning to take you out in my car for a little run about and show you how grippy big tyres and massive brakes feel like even on wet FOR YOU LOT OUT THERE: BUMP BUMP Almost weekend time and only 5 takers so far i had 16 firm requests and a few more inquiries when i first posted about these tyres in November and now that stock is here and i have first dibs for the forum most of you have gone cold i have put in a lot of leg work to get this going here, but we are not exclusive to these deals. My contact's confided that dealerships are major sales volume go to dealships if you must know so when they are gone then they are gone ..............................................................until the next batch comes in

Yes finally a new stock in from Germany. Too long to list but most sizes available from 18" - 20" Main Brands are MPS 2, Re050A (BMW or Aston martin spec), continentals CSC 2 or 3, Dunlop sport max(Audi rs and s variant) and very little of anything else. In my opinion all these are amongst the very best tyres and the MPS just shades the rest in dry grip but the trade off is shorter life span. expect under 10K for rears. I have a list of people who had sent me their requirements from before and i will pm them with prices and alternatives where necessary. Please to keep track pm request rather than post and if making payments don't forget to include address If you are not ready to buy now please contact me on or about when you are ready as it is a job to keep track or try to hold stuff as i am only a liaison when making request please indicate your brand and alternative choices and tyre size in the format xxx/yy/Rzz I will try to keep any buyer informed of the exact thread depth and if any repair has been done to one or more tyres but as said before the depth is usually 6mm (and will never be less than 5mm -Most new tyres 7-8mm) and usually have 1 repair if any Read my previous post for FAQS and do your research before purchase however i am happy to help with suggestions and technical querries. cheers Note: indicate if from scotland or ireland as P&P will be higher .......sorry
