It depends on several factors( eg ET, wheelarch dimensions etc) and what you want to achieve/do with the car! Is it for your zed BTW Personally I always plus size as high as i can get away with I have 19" with the same width wrapped in 265/35/19 tyres front and 295/30/19 rear (arch rolled to accomodate this size. 285 will fit without rolling ). The car also lowered 30-35mm front and rear respectively But as mentioned before the commonest combo will be 245/35/19 and 275/35/19

Thor set the fuel pressure...not me Then i rest my case That is a real surprise! Are we good for tomoro?
-
Good news sneaky sorry i could not make it today but will do for tomoro if you are free and willing i could lend you my utec to see what we get though it will mean putting in back the 600cc injectors and loading a suitable map on my utec to run the SC Just out of interest did you tell Thor that you set the fuel pressure at 3 bar? Also not withstanding there was an issue with the fuel pump to begin with which they fixed and insisted that a few thiongs be checked before they could put it on dyno for tuning so it might be jumping the gun to blame them for missing out that you set the pressure way below par i am not a supporting Thor as some may think but i want facts to be represented correctly as i have not had a single issue with them on my zed.

very very nice How did you get them though I hope there is no R35 on stilts somewhere I agree that it needs lowering to bring it all together and maybe the smoked or clear sidemarkers

Neil, your zed just keeps getting better and better welldone and top job my the CS crew as always Did you say you want to stop spending..................nah you know first the is the remap and then............ IMHO i think you need the Tommy K badge to finish off the look. i feel the V2 bumper looks a bit bland without a badge. Have you considered the vinyl number plate like i have intead of the JDM thing? will also preserve the beautifil V2 lines -

I'll gets the specs from him

That will be a full lap - the industry standard. Bridge to gantry is somewhat shorter. Shame you may not make it Andlid Yep..... Von Saurma's time is the full 14mile lap but the customary timed lap on touristenfahrten is the B to G as mentioned by David. i got a 08;15 best time but with traffic etc usually do 08:30-45 I think the next step will be to see what interest we have for this trip by the last week of March then i can start making reservations and collecting deposits for ferry crossing and hotel booking I think May 31 bank holiday would leave us with 2 months prep time from end of march we should go on the friday 28th early morning so as to be in Nurburg in the evening so people can familiarise themselves and we have all of saturday and sunday to run and back monday 31st morning to be in the UK in the evening after a stop in Calais for booze shopping The only consideration will be to account for the fact that the German Motocycle champoinships will be on the same weekend at the GP circuit so it is essential we get the reservations early.( first May bank holiday weekend is ruled out as the Ring(Nordschleife) will host the AVD race weekend!) See Opening times below: Starting date Time Event Venue Friday, 28.05.10 17:15 until 19:30 h Touristenfahrten(Public access) Nordschleife Saturday, 29.05.10 13:15 until 19:30 h Touristenfahrten Nordschleife Sunday, 30.05.10 08:00 until 19:30 h Touristenfahrten Nordschleife In sumary the trip will tentatively go like this: - Between today and end of March: time to confirm definitive interest. - End of March - first week of April. I will confirm List, intinerary, ferry & hotel arrangements and collect deposits for these! - Between April and departure date : regular updates, info on anything regarding the trip eg preping the zed, boarding & lodging, immigration, safety, health, insurance etc! - Friday 28th: Meet up in London or Dover at least 1 hr before boarding time. - 4-6 hours drive from Calais to Nurburg (300miles)in convoy ( takes me ususally 3.5hrs via Belgium and single quick break stop!) - Arrival at Nurburg, check in and familiarisation tour, Q&As! - Saturday 29th- sunday 30th : Vehicle check ups then Laps @ the Ring Beer, feedback, etc in the evening - Monday 31th bank holiday: depart early for Calais. Stop at the carrefour Hypermarche or other for Booze etc. - Check-in and boarding of ferry - Arrival at Dover: good byes and safe journey time The issue of Budget always comes to mind and it is always relative The following cost have to be borne in mind though 1-Prepping costs: making sure the zed will make the 1000mile trip Nothing special required here just a routine service if required (but and oil service will be a good idea before you go!) and good set of tyres and brakes in good working order ( you can also get this done in Addenau Nissan. I have done this(p1) before including a quick geometry check and fine tune all in for 100euros and know the Boss quite well now! 2- Travel costs: - Petrol (2-4 tanks full..........laps dependent )( Aim to just have enough to get you into france and fill up there to Nurburg and vice Versa ), - ferry fare = circa 40-50 quid with advance booking and crossing very late or early - Hotel including breakfast: 30-50euro/day based on sharing! there could be the possibility of group discount dependent on group size - Food and drinks: cheaper than in blighty and there are so many choices in and around Nurburg and Adenau. - Laps: cost 22 euro a lap but gets discounted the more you buy! to really have fun i would say aim for at least 25: laps 5 on the first day (17:15-19:30pm) then 10laps on saturday(1:15-7:30 and sunday(08:00-1930). Note: it might not be possible to get in all your laps in due to closures(accidents usually or even sudden change in weather!) but this card be refunded or valid up to the 31/12/2001. Lap prices: 1 Lap € 22 ~ £20 4 Laps € 75 ~ £68 8 Laps € 145 ~ £131 15 Laps € 250 ~ £225 25 Laps € 390 ~ £351 - Other cost: eg europe travel kit(first aid, yellow vest, bulb kit etc), toll (dependent on route), professional Ring photo etc I think i have covered enough to convince anyone who wants to go or not by now and we will see what happens from here. Please feel free make your comments etc! cheers Bennett

Hi Jez got the ESP info from Taurim of my350z france as promised He is a good lad and Ring hero (best lap 08:11) See vid: "To totally cut the ESP, I added a switch to cut the ground wire on the yaw sensor harness. As soon as i push the switch, the 2 ESP indicators on the dashboard indicate a default and the ESP is totally off.ABS remains active. When you cut the power with the key and turn it back on you have the ESP back. I installed the switch in the little glove box in the center console behind the gear stick. http://www.notre350z.com/forum/files/up ... sp-off.jpg The thing with the red button is a LANC remote to trigger my video recorder installed in the glove box behind the passenger seat. So it's invisible for the ring marshalls :-) I dont remember the color of the ground wire (white and green ?...) but you can easily find it with an ohm-meter : 0 ohm with the chassis. Some prefer to cut the power wire (orange, N°3 on the plug)".

i know just hoping the was a popular place i could just go to and gett sorted

OEM struts mate What shop do you recommend? Is it a nationwide chain?
-
Which is the highest point? the strut brace body or the bolts? i think the bolts if the bonnet is closing fine right know then it should be ok which the strut spacers. Infact i can fit the strut but it is in contact with the plenum and when i test drove it, there is a lot of vibration coming from it otherwise it held up to some aggressive a road hoon In anycase i will take anything that will do the job +8mm. Ah just remembered yours was similar! where did you get/make the bits ?
-
i have just acquired a non standard plenum spacer(10mm or 0.4inches thick) but need bolts and spacers to fit it fully. The plenum is currently fitted it ok with M6 bolts got from Halfords but i need the M10 strut brace bolts(at least 30mm) with custom spacers(10mm high) to be able to put by strut back on. Also need the 6 smaller spacers for the middle plenum bolts. so please anyone kindly direct me. option one: Could i get these from motodyne. i know you can get gaskets! option two: could anyone advice me were i can buy these or get them made as i know someone had a similar issue a while back. Note: the M10 bolts from the hardware stores i'e been eg halfords, homebase etc are of a bigger pitch compared to the nissan one Not checked B&Q yet

No problems Jez, i will find out for you and in the general interest of the forum. i drive with esp off on track and i find that big brother only interupts one or two usually tight corners with camber chane but is very brief and the car remains stable and predictable though you loose a bit of exit speed I find that being smooth and porgessive sorts the problem! Very fascinating to tknow that you remap yourself Is it a hobby or work. I might pop in someday and see your setup! i am always stopping in reading and bassingstoke enroute to London to say hi to old acquaintance.
-
Very nice Andy, i am still so tempted i bought a sample of the matte paint and tried it on my front lip and new skirt just as base coat and it looks ace. I think i will wait until i see your car in the flash and make my final decision!
-
Sorry to hear this mate. Good thing you are not hurt. the zed will be up and running soon enough
-
Welcome I read from so guy in france who frequents the nurburgring with his zed that you can only fully disable it from somwhere behind the dash or center console i will email him and find out exactly what it entails. Do you have the Performance Friction 01 pads? i can vouch for them 1000%. i recently had to replace my Ksport sports pads (which are rebadged ferodo DS2500:P) after they disintergrated and almost damaged my front rotors The ferodos where very good and very disc friendly but this PF01 pads are out of this world ..........like having your own personal anchor Bite from cold is very good for a race compound pad and it gets even better when some heat gets into them! However, i am sure the trade off will be diminished disc life but i will live with that! Just noted that you have decats with a standard setup. you will be making less power and torque likely unless you get an ECU remap. Abbey or RSTuning offer excellent service with these

nice one zedjohn bump for more zedders to come on board!
-
sorry mate its got back on the car as i sold my AEM CAI to release cash for my project but will become available if the happens
