  1. Really not good to read this Jerry Hope things change soon and you don't have to part with the zed! But if you have to the GLWTS and see you soon in a 370z
  2. Good to know that you have fixed it and that you were lucky not to blow the fuses or worse. careful next time
  3. Assaultech?? I nearly pulled the trigger on that kit but went a different route in the end I was wondering what was in the defi box since you didnt mention any defi gauges but then I remembered what it was Yup, Ian so what did you get then?
  4. Nice one Paul, your patience paid off. I think you still overpaid for some of the used stuff but hey what the heck On another note i found a US tuning shop that sells a new tuner V3 kit for $3600, but after you had got yours I think I will go for it in the mid year, but for now i will just be stockpiling all the ancillaries required. Goodluck with the build
  5. ET37 not very good when you think the OEM wheel ET33 IMHO aim for ET20 at least so you dispense of spacers Ultimately it comes down to what look you are after
  6. I have got these(OEM GT4 items. apparently slightly stiffer than the DE cars) up for grabs with other suspension bits so pm me if you are interested.
  7. Good job But is it me or is it darker after the refurb or was that delibrate
  8. Get CS to supply you these and you can fit them yourself No special skill required Even added a link to a fitting guide to help you : viewtopic.php?f=35&t=33329 However, my addvice will be to get the disc refaced/skimmed with a lathe (rather than grind or sand it as suggested in the guide) if there is a lot of lipping and if they still have lots of life left. otherwise you need new disc too! Any local garage with a Procut on car lathe can do this and you can just take the same oportunity to change the pads at the same time or get them to change it at no extar charge See list of places in Reading: http://www.skimmydiscs.co.uk/berkshire.html
  9. Don't mean to sound patronising, of course I don't know you driving experience, but at your age please be VERY careful with the Z. Car insurance is expensive for people your age in these cars for a very good reason; to put off the inexperienced from driving them. They are right up there with Porsche and the like, and are alot different from a 206. Driving one home and getting it to the red line on a country road is a different matter. They can be very hairy when you wind them up properly. I don't want you binning it or worse. Stay cool with it and stay safe I don't want to hear any bad stories here. Bradders. +1 It is a blessing that by the time you get it it will be drier and you will have all the time to get used to the car from then up to next winter Sametime next year you will have 3yrs Ncb and 1yr zed experience with a big on your face! Just keep polishing for now and make sure you come to the famous Wales meet
  10. He maybe tempted especially as his uncle is doing the painting FOC
  11. Always nice to see a fellow black zed in mint condition Dare i say you need spacers and ............ahem................................ lowering to really pull off the whole shibang
  12. This is not uncommon but try this US based shop below for a wide variety. Their stuff are usually good quality. Or just powdercoat it to your body colour for somtheing different....that what i've done to mine . http://www.thezstore.com/page/TZS/CTGY/350z03j
  13. 5000 members is the very reflection of the relentless and inspiring toil of all the mods since the very begining to make the forum one of the best Z resources in the world and what a great confraternity that this club now represents. We should all be proud of the landmark and grow even bigger.......................... hip hip hooooooooooooooray
  14. They are if its T1Rs you are going for.
  15. ok im not sure if its been remaped, ive not took it past 112mph yet to find out if it has been de-limited or not Nice zed. very good combo of external mods As for knowing what power she is making there only one way to find out but if its not delimited and has the breathing and exhaust mods as one would expect you will do well to get an uprev remap which will sort everything in one go ie delimit, response/power, good mpg etc
  16. Just to be sure of what you said. both front inside worn/ how many miles on these and how bad? there is a natural tendency to wear the inside slightly than the outside due to the geo set up of the car anyway the only time it should concern you is if this wear is excessive Note: the OEM set up is -ve camber with a few secouns toe in. the front camber is not ajustable but toe is, so do a full laser alignment check. if this is normal and the same on each side then the issue could have been wrong preussures
  17. Thats because he is only lowered by 15mm as opposed to 35mm on mine! I think you can also get away with rolling by dialing in mad rear camber like -ve 3-3.5 deg but the cost of tyres will superceed the cost of a one off archrolling
  18. Nice work taddy I am just completing the same stealth look on my zed and i am happy i can mirror from yours what i had in my head for so long The only difference is that i have smoothed out the nismo skirt and have a VS v1 front bumper! I think i will leave the lights alone for safety reasons and get the headlights blacked out at some point BTW did you remove the polished lip before painting or PC? Finally, i do agree with you about the rear needing something...............i am also getting a custom one from Rik. Coilovers will complete your look and so will the satin/matt respray or wrap
  19. i was to quick pm replied to. thanks a bundle
  20. Just arranged for some pics to be done by Matt, the new guy on the forum. So I will be off to see him on the 20th. your zed is now amazing mate i like the bits you've got one roll on a proper photo shoot!
  21. I have always admired photoshoots so definately interested as there are a few things in the pipeline for the zed. I am based in worcester but will be happy to travel halfway to say Cannock to meet you Should have had a bumper respray, grill installed, veilside lip refitted, custom nismo skirts, rear diffuser and full polish by the end of next week! I hope i can get the lips on my wheels de-chromed and pc all black in this time too If this is ok for you when is the earliest for us to meet
