  1. Very nice I think keep it off for a smooth look and why not wrap the A and B pillars and boot to have a carbon 2 tone look Then finish it off with limo rear window and windscreen tint, powder coat the rays(black or guntmetal) and maybe wrap the front bumper below the grill Where are you based? If you can wrap my roof i will be your hot air gun biatch and will throw in some gloss or matt black painted nissan burger badges to complete the whole aggro theme
  2. Because i cut the corner/chicane ................... or what about .......the car is so low it bottoms out a la formula 1 and what you see is the floor boards scraping off
  3. No changes to the list of goers : 1-GT4 zed-------------------------------- 2nd May bank holiday weekend 2-ZedJohn ------------------------------- 2nd May bank holiday weekend 3-Sleg----------------------------------- 2nd May bank hloiday weekend 4-Glenn 1981----------------------------- 2nd May bank holiday weekend 5-Captain-------------------------------- 2nd May bank holiday weekend 6-Anubis--------------------------------- 2nd May bank holiday weekend 7-Thomasorenson------------------------2nd May bank holiday weekend(meeting us @ the Ring) 8- Will send individual pm for confimation at the end of next week Don't worry captain, i know you are on hols so enjoy yourself and see you when you are back Just a little tease below: Ring: Adenauer forest going sideways.
  4. Thats easy Just get a K1 exhaust(with bungs Off) from here and with your novidem SC it will be a race car . You will hear mine in May(28-31st) at the Ring and will fall in What other mods have you done on your Zed? Do you Ring it often? I dont like Hohe Acht. Because after passing the Carousel its uphill and boring . Esbach down to Brunchen I through II are my favourite because it flows well into each other and there are always loads of tourist taking photos Foxhole - Adenauer forst, Pflanzgarten I-II-III and Breidched - Exmulle are also very enjoyable
  5. FAO of Mark: I have asked this before but you may have missed it? There was also some questions wrt your opinion on piggybacks which i would very much like more clarification. What boost is she making and the boost at max power? Is the boost controlled by the pulley or Bypass/BOV or some sort of boost control? I am asking because the standard vortech boost is limited to 9psi by the standard 3.33 pulley but people in the states do see 17psi with the 2.87 upgrade and apparently its capable of 25psi theoretically I don't remember if Dave kit had the standard bypass or an upgrade since the guy he bought it from was running 470WHP with meth injection to reduce det The racing bypas/BOV from vortech: http://www.vortechsuperchargers.com/product.php?p=25 In anycase well done again and more grease to your elbows
  6. Excellent results Dave and no thanks to Ian who has contrived to ruin this momentous event with the poor filming All i can say is WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOw I still don't like the PINK wheels though Can't wait to see it in flesh tomoro and ....... ahem have a wee go
  7. Thanks for sharing Thomas You should have got some action too You have withdrawn the first video though...............so no zed to see
  8. Hi Rich1X, nice zed and good choice of tyres They one of the best all weather high perf tyres. Definately up there in the wet but due to the thread pattern is slighty compromised in dry weather when ultra aggressive at the Anyway, i pick up on this because you mentioned going to the Ring in May The is atrip being planned between 28th-31th May(2nd bank hols). already have 6 very firm interests why don't you join in There is some useful info in this post too if you have'nt been before! viewtopic.php?f=9&t=32840 I am organising everything every info regarding all facets of the trip, ferry and B&B and by the end of next week will post up finalise details and begin to collect a small deposit to secure ferry and hotel reservations.
  9. That would normally be my plan but I really don't have the time - so much of my work now is overseas and the car is garaged so much of the time its biggest enemy is dust! If I had more time, I'd be driving it, not parting stuff off it. I'll take a good offer - and a better one than I'd accept on eBay etc if it's going to a good home. Likewise a swap for a normal 350Z with similar mileage + some money for the mods is an easy way for someone planning to go FI to get the car they want. Lots of people on here have seen this car in the flesh and know it is barely used. Sad really. Stephen I know your predicament Stephen and we all hope someone from here comes along and bites you fingers off I have a rev up and would have considered making you a good offer for the SC and kinetix which would have brought you closer to the price of the base car especially as you will still be left with the zorst, wheels ice which you can easily part but i have a revup(GT4) engine and this SC will not work and i want to keep my car Make sure you have it up in pistonheads too
  10. They're rubbing already. 70 degree left-hander taken at about 30 mph - a definite "nnnnrrrrr" from rear right for a quarter of a second. How much is this arch-rolling business then? Sounds a bit fiddly? Rubbing? maybe we should have stayed with the 265 tyre since your ETs are aggressive But it would not have look this nice and wide . Call archenemy who d the rolling for circa £80 at your front door. TYakes about an hour or less. http://www.archenemy.co.uk/contact.htm The nearest agent will be from south wales Other wise take in to a laser geometry place and get a ful alignment check and dial in some more negative camber in the rear . The OEM upper limits is -2deg 05secUp. So if you aim for anywhere between 2-2.2 degres you will be fine and even get more rear end grip The tyres will also be fine wrt uneven wear. you will get the rest of the car adjusted within OEM specs all for the same cost. Expect to pay between £45-90 depending on where you go too
  11. Not necesarily Adrian with Eibach prokit springs you will get about 20mm drop. Also as a result of dropping you will increase neg camber which will tuck in the wheels nicely and if need be you can dial in more camber up to were the OEM arms/bolt allow to avoid rub. From 295 upwards with aggresive ET and lowered +20mm then you may start to encounter rubbing issues. 305 tyres will fit only with rolling and lowering and maybe 315 with low profile but that will be a tight squeeze and small ET and an a very exagerated camber which will look good for a show but drive horribly
  12. How could you not really this beast I feel you may need to part some stuff eg wheels, ice, kinetix , decats/zorst even the bodykit to "balance the books" seeing how things have gone recently and sell the car a base SC zed This will not be an issue as the car is mostly garaged. GLWTS someone will be very lucky
  13. Pearl badges will look cool on any car even black..............Had it on mine but they always fade in the end but recently painted it black and it looks even wicked Lacquering is a good idea should SLOW down the effect of UV if painting is not for you i'll put some pic up tomoro
  14. Very nice set up Simon Having a get together in my house so if anything i can come over for a short stint Practice harder and also look at laps on youtube for a more realistic familiarity with the corners i posted up a video earlier with a lap and the names of the popular corners. learn this by heart so that way you can always discuss best lines, braking points surface imperfections etc with more experience ringers and you will all be on the same wavelenght
  15. Hi John, just saw this now if not i would have come to your aid a longtime ago This is my forte you know From what i gather you want to go 19": 19x 9.5 in front and 19x 10.5 at rears your question is what offsets to go for and what tyre size to get the flushed look correct and at the same time having a matched front to rear visual profile correct this is easy and this is what i tried to explain mucho times when getting partworns for peolpe here Anyway tell me if this is correct and we will take it from there My advice in anycase will be 245/35/19 on 19x9.5 in front and 295/30/19 on 19x10.5. A wider front tyre - 265/30/19 will also be fine and more front end grip but is not necessary to potter around like you do . What you need to clarify is if you are planning lowering or not As this will determine how aggresive you want to be on the ET or the tyre or both! 245/35/19 and 275-285/30/ will be great on 9 and 10" wide wheels and not have any issues if the car is left OEM height! you also can go uber aggresive on the ET as you have more leeway Also if you have to decide if you will be prepareed to roll the arch or get least rear camber/toe adjustability. Have a look at this for an example of how aggressive you can go and keep the profile visually matched in a stock car FYI those wheels are 18x9.5 with ET12 front and rear but tyres are staggered 245/45/18 and 275/40/18. He could have gone with thinner profile if he wanted. i still think that lowering wil pull the look off better viewtopic.php?f=61&t=34287
  16. They are sick Simon Needs lowering though you will be perfect with Eibach pro-kit or even better sportline springs which will just give you the best stance with those lovely wheel and without breaking the bank. If you get the springs i can help fit them the same time when you are having all the other stuff done 275/40 rear and 245/45 front. 245/45 up front ???? hope thats a typo or youve made your front bigger by nearly 10mm on the radius whihc is quite abit ! This tyre is only 20mm wider and with a rolling radius difference of 9mm which corresponds to 2.65% bigger than OEM within the acceptable limits are upto +/-3% (Or even +/-2.5% depending who you talk to). Also remember the Rotas BTW are 18x9.5 so it also wide enough for this tyre while OEM front is only 18 x 8.5 and you can still plus size it with 245/45 and no issues. (you can fit upto 265mm wide tyres in front well with no rubbing at all). The rear are also perfect and he went with 45-40 front to rear profile due to Falken inavailability in a thinner profile eg 35 but also more importantly to have a better visual front to rear sidewall height match which are 4.34 and 4.33mm respectively 245/40 would have been the closest match with OEM but the front will look too thin compared to the 275/40 tyre
  17. I wouldn,t in my opinon you can't piggy back the Z ECU, we can now live map the UK cars and I can supply a modded ECU so you can have multi maps on the cruise control switches. Nice to know you can do this with the Uprev Mark. What do you mean you can piggyback the Z ecu?? Is that not what the Utec, e-manage, Unichip do by controlling AFR, fuel and ignition timming? The only common limitations usually with these are the lack of ability to alter rev limit or speed delimit the car. It made 400 hub BHP and I am sure we can find more bhp/torque if needed but it will be a quick car , no motor rebuild will be needed it is a safe map. Detonation kills these motors Dave,s map is nice and safe. What boost did he make this figures Mark? Mark PS Nurrish I had to change a few fittings on the fuel system .....I didn't want to use our fire extinguisher.......... bad boy......slapped hands. Nice to spot and correct these Mark.......I have told Dave repeatedly that fuel and oil lines even powersteering lines need braided hoses and secured with proper aeromotive fittings rather than cut with a kitchen knife and secured with Jubilee clips Waiting to drool over the graphs now! Topman Mark, you are
  18. 1 more week to go pips By now you should be pretty sure if you are going or not I will start to make hotel reservation enquiries with Frank @ the Ringhaus this week and also ferry(group fares) so i will be able to give specific answers to those interested and begin to collect deposits . Herewith the latest list potential goers: 1-GT4 zed-------------------------------- 2nd May bank holiday weekend 2-ZedJohn ------------------------------- 2nd May bank holiday weekend 3-Sleg----------------------------------- 2nd May bank hloiday weekend 4-Glenn 1981----------------------------- 2nd May bank holiday weekend 5-Captain-------------------------------- 2nd May bank holiday weekend 6-Anubis--------------------------------- 2nd May bank holiday weekend 7-Thomasorenson------------------------2nd May bank holiday weekend(meet us @ the Ring) 8-
  19. Well done Dave/Mark Always had faith in you mate and you fully deserve all this now. More i contributed in some way or the other and will still continue to support you especially as it is obvious now that you need some driving tuition with all this new found power . The only thing i would have done dirrent would have been to keep the UTEC so i can have differnt maps but hey you can't win it all PS: what boost are you making at this power/tq?
  20. The spring that will give you the best lowering/performance combo is the Eibach sportline spring which will give approx 30mm in real life. They are slightly stiffer as a result but only just more than the ubiquitous Eibach pro kit spring. Both are well matched to the OEM damper The are springs like gmax which will claim 40mm drop but these like many other will be cheap and sagging and you will regret buying them CS should be able to get you the Eibachs Spacers 30mm at the back is uber cool but i doubt you will pull it off at the front 20mm will be perfect.
  21. I used Motul for all the fluids change and if i remember correctly actually got Motul gear 300 75w 90 for both gearbox and VLSD which is a GL4/GL5 oil. teeth: I think it just 1.2 or 1.4l required for one or the other so got 3l to cover everything
  22. I guess i should withdraw my prizes then because you guys are so pig-headed i want to offer a prize for torque and WHP figure seperately
